To be as subjective as I can, the issue I experienced may be a one off, however I was not pleased.
This is a "staff-less" hotel. There is no front desk. Instead you are "supposed" to receive check in information in advance including a QR code to access the building as well as a PIN code to enter your room. No problem if this works.
In my case the hotel did not contact me in advance. I ended up waiting outside the hotel for over 1 hour. I made contact with a number I found online, but I received no response. Eventually after a long time waiting I found someone to speak to and they admitted I had been marked as a "no-show" despite it being only 4pm on the day of arrival. Hence, they didn't send me any check-in information until long after check in time. They were apologetic but when asked why their "emergency contact" number is not responding, her response was that it was the wrong number and I shouldn't have contacted them, despite this being the number provided on their website.
I don't know if this building is new and maybe they are finding their way and experiencing teething issues, but if the concept of "staff-less" hotels are increasing in popularity, they need to work with basic communication.
The property itself is modern. However, road noise was a big issue. There is no noise insulation in the windows. Bring ear plugs!
