The hotel is simple, very clean, the rooms are as shown in the photos and all the staff is very friendly. We enjoy our stay in the hotel completely, it has a very good location, we stayed almost everything, separated it in a safe area and with all that is required at hand: hospital, market 28, banks, restaurants, shops oxx, The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable and very comfortable.

I booked the Pyramid - Ocean Front room with two other couples based on the online reviews and the fancy brochure I perused online and I wish I could give it 5 stars. To begin with, I booked the Ocean Front room as this was supposed to be an adult-only block of rooms, yet they were not -- there were families with children in this block of hotel rooms, which was quite annoying as I was charged more for choosing the ocean front - adult-only room. Having to go up a set of stairs before reaching the elevators that would take us to our hotel room -- with luggage, mind you, was not fun at all. A huge design flaw. Check-in was fairly quick because we booked the rooms with the black wristband and so that was okay--we avoided a long line. The rooms were clean but the two bathrooms were extremely dated--not at all what you see in the pictures. The pillows were awesome and the bed was comfy enough. The alcoholic beverages were awful, awful, awful. They were extremely watered down and quite frankly a huge disappointment. The choices were extremely limited and what they offered was not good at all--not even the margaritas. The food was okay at the two buffet halls that we frequented----and as with every other review--we couldn't get a reservation at Careyes or Benazuza the nicer restaurants on the property--as they were booked well in advance. The Italian restaurant--La Trattoria was horrible--the food was undercooked and flavorless. We ended up leaving the restaurant and going to eat at the buffet hall--which is where ate for the rest of our stay. There's a lot of walking and a lot of little bridges throughout the property so wear comfortable shoes. The pool was nice and clean, but there wasn't really an adults-only area. We had no trouble finding lounge chairs and if you sit away from the swim-up bar, they do have poolside servers offering drinks--but again, watered-down versions of any alcoholic beverage requested. To get to the beach get ready to go down a huge set of stairs -- the water was very choppy, but if you like the waves like I do, then you'll definitely enjoy the beautiful blue-green water. If you booked your stay with JetBlue Vacations --as we did -- and you added the free transportation (Insider Experience) be sure to schedule your departure well in advance (3 days) or you will have to pay for a taxi to take you to the airport because they will not pick you up nor answer their phone. Also, have your info handy when you arrive at their bus/taxi pick-up location as you're going to need it to even get on the bus to be taken to your hotel. All in all a big disappointment--so I'm glad we only booked a 4-day/3 night mini vacation. We made the best of it and it was nice to get away, but we will definitely not be returning to this property.

I booked a sea view suite for about $250 a night, and stayed for a week. Because of the US epidemic, there were less than ten guests in the resort, so it was empty, and a restaurant was opened. There is a supermarket in the hotel, open from Monday to Saturday, you can buy some necessities. It is because the hotel’s own restaurant is very poor, so it is necessary to rent a car to go outside the restaurant to buy and eat back to the hotel, the hotel comes with a car rental service, car rental 46 dollars a day insurance. The restaurant outside the hotel is very cheap to eat. Basically, it costs US$100 to buy enough food for 3 days and bring it back to the hotel. Talk about the advantages. Very quiet, sea view suites have everything, microwave, stove, refrigerator, tableware, washing machine, very suitable for family living. The bed is very large and very comfortable, really comfortable! Also, the hotel is very clean. The location of the hotel is not in the 7th district, so the price is very economical.

There were no major issues during our stay. Excellent service! Tips: Bring plenty of $1s for tipping. I'd recommend tipping around $1 per drink and $5-$10 per meal, more for above-and-beyond service.) Take care of the staff and they will take care of you. Meals: Know the dress code before you dine. The sushi restaurant at Umami doesn't require reservations and the food was amazing. Ivonne, our server, provided superior service. Also, as a vegetarian, I was happy that most of the menus indicated which items were vegetarian, but it was a little frustrating at the buffets to not know which items had meat. For example, at breakfast, I didn't know that the refried beans were made with lard. (However, when we asked about it, the staff offered to accommodate my dietary restrictions the next time we dined. Unfortunately, it was too late as we were leaving early the next morning.) Drinks: The drinks were excellent, I recommend getting a michelada (beer with lime and clam juice). Pools: There are two pools, a pool with a bar (not a swim-up bar) and another with hot tubs. There were plenty of daily activities at the main pool. Rooms: Our room (standard) was great, two double beds. No issues with cleanliness or maid service. I loved that there was a magnifying mirror for putting on makeup in the bathroom. The lighting in the bathroom was also good for makeup/grooming. There was a hairdryer. Toiletries provided included shampoo, soap, body wash, and lotion. There was an iron and ironing board. The mini-fridge was stocked daily (not by the maids, a different person kept the fridge stocked) with a Sprite, a Coke, 2 large waters, and two beers. (If you need more water, just ask at the front desk.) There's also a coffee pot in the room. All-inclusive: Know ahead of time what's included in the all-inclusive package and/or don't assume; just ask! The all-inclusive does NOT include room service, premium drinks, spa services, certain menu items, or tips. Also, there are some restrictions regarding the Italian restaurant and Umami, but you can eat at Umami without reservations; you only need reservations to sit at the hibachi bar. I made sure to read a lot of reviews for Hotel NYX before this trip; the negative ones seem to be written by disgruntled guests who were rude to the staff or upset about an issue they didn't report during their stay (waiting till they left to complain). Hats off to the guest experience manager who artfully responds to every single review.

This hotel met and went above what we expected to receive. The service we received throughout our 5 days (girls trip) was great. We even splurged for 2 private cabanas and our attendant ALEJANDRA SOTO was incredible. She was short staffed and we still received excellent service from her. We got the all-inclusive (worth it) Food was good, a nice variety and the drinks were also good. The beach was amazing and the bed is one of the most comfortable ones I’ve ever had in a hotel. The only negative I have is the check in and check out takes forever. They have to find a more efficient way to do that. The people up there also have bad attitudes for no reason. Other than that the hotel and the rest of the staff was great. Would definitely go back there.

The hotel was nice and clean. Food was just ok. I've had better at an all inclusive resort. We only stayed for 1 night so we didn't get to enjoy the pool but it looked nice. We booked the ocean view room and I must say I'm so glad we did! The view was gorgeous. The room itself was pretty big and very clean. My only complaint about the room is we couldn't find an outlet to charge our phones. Coming from Tulum, I booked the room for 1 night so we could relax before catching an early morning flight back home. When booking the room I read that kids were not permitted so I was under the impression it was an adult only resort. I guess I should have read the description better because this resort is very family friendly. Service was great! From check in to check out the staff was very friendly and helpful. Great place for families, maybe not so much of your looking for a quiet getaway.

My experience at Atelier was nothing short of amazing. I visited the resort for my 30th birthday which was also my first solo trip. Every single person I encountered treated me with care and received me with love. I felt so special, literally like a Princess! I would love to come back and visit another time with friends and family. Here are some highlights worth mentioning: - I ate at Alba, Mercado 19, María Dolores, Takeshi, Limon y Sal, Bikini Azul, and La Consentida during my stay and all of them were good! Now for me, some were better than others depending on the type of food you like, but still, every single thing I ate was delicious. No hit or miss, the food was amazing, and at no point did I fall ill from food consumption. - Carmelo was my server at Maria Dolores for my birthday dinner and he and the entire staff treated me like royalty. I was alone at the restaurant for most of my reservation so they were all very attentive to me. The attention to detail in the food and the presentation made this a fine dining experience like no other. Everything was very well thought out and explained beautifully, like a story. Although the food at the restaurant is not included in the price of the resort, it’s very reasonably priced and worth it. - Joshua, Freddy, Adriana, and the pianist at the Azucar Bar & Lounge treated me like family for my entire stay. Every night I would visit them they would be so happy to see me and wanted to celebrate my birthday with me. Joshua is such a talented mixologist, every drink he made was made with love. I attended one of the cocktail classes hosted on Sunday evenings and although I learned some cool drinks, I wish we were able to be more hands-on and actually replicate making the drink instead of just watching him. - On the night of my birthday room service delivered a small plate of cheese and bread along with a champagne bottle, I really enjoyed that surprise! Random things to note that could matter to some people and are worth mentioning: - The walls in the rooms are pretty thin and you can hear everything going on around you, whether in the rooms surrounding yours or outside in the hallway. There’s ambient music playing 24/7 which is nice during the day but I think they should turn it down at night so guests can rest. - The app they suggest using for the resort is a bit glitchy and not fully functional. They encourage you to make dinner reservations using the iPads around the property because you can’t make reservations via the app which I find to be counterintuitive. You’re not able to see the reservations you set up in the app so if you forget what time you booked, you have to find an iPad to double-check. Also, the map of the resort on the app is very hard to use and understand. - I feel like this is a given at any beach resort but if you’re looking to get a cabana by the pool or hut on the beach, I suggest you get there early. The experience was greatly diminished when the hotel charged $150.00 for the room and key deposits. That was almost equal to the price of my entire stay. This should have been listed in the hotel description. Only stating that additional charges may be charged does not warn of the excessive charge I received. In addition, I am still fighting with them to get part of the deposit back. I travel frequently and this charge was definitely more than most hotels. And obviously, if complaints are not lodged, the deposits are not returned.
