DON’T STAY HERE!! The worst experience ever. We were on the 3rd floor and for the entire 3 nights that we stayed here the people in the apartment on top of us stomped around at all hours of the night and then again early morning- sounded like a herd of elephants above us. Hardly got any sleep at all and this place wasn’t cheap. Extremely disappointed

We booked the hotel months in advance because we wanted to have a pool for the kids to enjoy with their grandparents. The hotel emailed me telling me I could no longer make changes one week before the stay. But they decided to omit the fact that the pool would be closed. Upon arrival they offered us to walk 200 metres to another facility and pay there for poll access and as "compensation" they would cover 25% of that extra cost and waive $15 dollars (total) of "resort fee". The room is fine and this experience would have been good if they had had any interest in making it right.

This "resort " is shared with apartments. Rooms were ok but dated. You had to go outside to get to pool access (they don't tell you that) the access road is so slippery that it actually makes in dangerous to get there especially with small kids. You are charged for everything. We didn't get our beds made cause it's 20 bucks if you didn't put all towels in bathtub you are charged. 20 a nigh for playpen. Parking is charged . Our coffee pot was not even cleaned still had old coffee from previous customers. Just honestly most unwelcoming place ever and so far from a resort when everything comes with a charge. Very very disappointing place.

Stayed 3 nights in Sunset Mountain Inn. Big room with all you need, fridge, coffeemaker, tea, coffee pods, seating area... Very kindly and very helpful reception. When our domestic flight was delayed with almost 3 hours, the gave us the phone number for calling Air Canada and they gave me their own phone to make a long phonecall with the airline. Thank you for that! The hotel was quiet and clean and has a garden with seats and some loungers to catch the sun. They showed us the Spa, but we did not use it. Location is very good, about 600 m from the busstop for frequent busses to Banff. There are 2 supermarkets nearby, and some restaurants. It is a good place as an alternative of staying in an expensive Banff, and with a very good connection with Banff. We liked it.

We were so happy and looking forward to recommend this place to families staying here. Our suite was clean, King bed comfy and clean and we also had a pullout hide-a-bed for our 2 children. In our suite, we have a jacuzzi, dishwasher, shower, a nice kitchenette, washer and dryer and dining area. The rooms and resort is very nice and we’re very happy with our stay. Until it was time to use any water. We paid for a Jacuzzi room and we have no hot water. We have not been able to use it for the whole time we’ve been here July 2-6(tomorrow, when we leave) (so that will be 4 nights and 5 days with no hot water) We have not been able to have any showers or bathe for the children or anyone in the family. (Including a female on her cycle.). After hiking and exploring in the m.t., getting caught in the rain, having a period, there is no way to properly clean. Dishes in the sink to wash the counters and dishes with was all cold water. Imagine not being able to clean your body after hiking in the m.t., sweating in the gym, menstruating and not being able to use the jacuzzi that you paid for. We reached out to the front desk several times. We were told the first time that someone would look into it. We were told that someone would come and talk to us. So we waited. No phone call and no one came and talked to us. We made a second phone call. That phone call was that someone was going to come and talk to us in maintenance and that they would call before they came to our room. Again, we waited and stayed up until 11pm waiting for a phone call or someone to come see us. That did not happen. My husband was also told at one point that there is someone that owns a place beside us and they are working hard to fix it because he lives here. Again, nothing fixed. We then called again the next day as there was still no hot water. Again, we were told that someone is looking into it. We reached out to the company we booked to and they told us that when they spoke to the resort that they were told by the resort the problem started today!!!! So, there was a lot of dishonesty going on. We have sent an email and reached out to management. We are hoping someone will contact us and compensate at least for something! I am here for the CSBA, a large event at the Banff Event Centre. I have made the situation well aware to others that are there because they have asked how we like our place. They couldn’t believe that we were going on for 5 days with no hot water and no communication with us or anything at all. I will update this, if management reaches out. We only just sent the email. I felt it important to share. With 2 children, being in the cold mountains and caught in rain, a female on her period and renting a place for 5 days that cost $1600 that you cannot properly clean your body, wash dishes, clean and disinfect properly and use a jacuzzi that you pay for should be noted. While we understand that hotels, resorts and places can have issues, th

Very nice unit. Well stocked, full kitchen (including over, we thought it would only be stove top) Clean, comfortable pull out couch, rooms were quiet. Staff was helpful and knowledgeable. The unit was hot tho! Turned the heat off completely and still had to open the windows. Also we had 4 adults but only 2 robes, 2 more would have been $25/ea so that was disappointing esp because you need to walk across to the pool

We had a big flat looking at the mountains, international standard, the kitchen is well equipped. The louvres could not be opened at most of the windows. The locking system without keycard and the singnage are chaotic: we had to return to the reception as our door did not open and we even did not find our room, it was hidden behind a fire door. The pool was hard to find and the code they gave us for the door was wrong.

It was an okay experience. They say there is air conditioning, however you only get it at certain times. Fans are free but they could only give us one per room. My family in the second bedroom was quite hot. The sheets on all 3 of our beds were ripped, but there is an $80 charge if you want the sheets changed. Be careful to read booklet because you will be dinged $50 if you don’t follow exact check out protocol,(towels in bath, dishwasher on etc.) The pool was good but I thought it closed too early(9:00pm), just my opinion. Overall it was good, but I doubt if I’d stay there again.
