Here’s the revised review: Westfield Guest House at 1 Lemon Lane is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the elegant decor that beautifully complements the historic architecture of the property. Janette, the owner, has clearly poured her heart into every detail, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that feels both luxurious and homely. The pool and garden were true highlights—perfectly maintained, peaceful, and an absolute dream to relax in. Whether we were lounging by the water or strolling through the lush greenery, it was pure bliss. The location is ideal, centrally located near all the best shops and restaurants in Newlands. It’s also just a quick drive to the Cape Town CBD and Waterfront, as well as the Constantia winelands.

I spent a wonderful relaxing time in this beautiful corner of the Cape. Janette is a wonderful and caring hostess who looks after your every detail and concern. Rex, the golden labrador, stands guard and enjoys greeting you. A Home away from Home, will definitely come again.

La gente del hotel siempre atenta a mis necesidades día y noche, ayudándome con el cambio de moneda (hasta prestándome dinero de su bolsillo en horarios nocturnos) resolviendo problemas con los tours, recomendando que hacer y todo con una sonrisa y ganas de ayudar y buena predisposición. El desayuno impecable, los mozos recordaban mis gustos del día anterior y con una sonrisa me ofrecían lo mismo, me preguntaban por mi hijo, me consultaron un día por que no bajé a desayunar, si me sentía bien y otra serie de detalles hermosos. Gracias!!!! Las habitaciones con café, agua y te. Impecable!

Southern Sun never fails to deliver.
The Southern Sun chain is an African institution that has been operating for years. I always use it whenever I can as it never fails to deliver on its service and it always feels like coming home. The Newlands team are always very friendly and the food is amazing. The breakfast buffet will also set you up for the day with its vast choices. Rooms are spotless.

Great staff and service. Rooms are nice but a little dated. Good breakfast, can be busy there during peak breakfast time.
