Belmondo Hotel

If you book a room with a balcony facing the sea lighthouse, your trip to Chania will be halfway through. The experience is great. Breakfast is delivered to the room and can be enjoyed on the terrace. The room is very large, but it may not be an extra bed. I have not asked. Parking must stop at the parking lot outside the old city, it is a bit inconvenient, but there is no way

Had a wonderful stay in this lovely boutique hotel! Had the Luxury Suite with Hot Tob for 3 nights. Very centre location in the middle of everything. Our room was on the top floor, above all the fuss. The room was beautiful; very modern, tidy and spacious. There was a small kitchenette with a good sized fridge, that had also a freeze-box inside. The balcony was huge, with sunbathing chairs, couches with roofing, and a great hot tub. We were able to make our own breakfast, and enjoy it in the privacy of our top-floor balcony. After that some sunbathing and cooling off in the tub with cold water - that was amazing in the heat of July. The staff was lovely and so welcoming. The cleaning was amazing and always considerate to your needs - absolutely loved her. When we arrived, our bed was decorated beautifully and there were some refreshments and snacks in the room. Fridge was always stocked with cold water bottles. The place was real luxury for us! If (read: when) I'm back in Chania, this is my place stay! Note: No elevator, so not suitable for someone who need assistance for moving. Still only 3 floors so easy for us to walk with luggage. During night time might be bit noisy from the streets. I used ears-pluggs, my husband didn't need any. So we both slept well. Huge and comfotable bed. Overall highly recommended! ❤️

Stayed in suite with sea view. The view was amazing. The room was lovely, bed super comfy. There was a nice vanity table to get ready at. Bathroom was big and clean. The service at reception were very helpful. The location was great right in old town but not too noisy - music from restaurant in evening but I liked it and church bells on Sunday. I really enjoyed my stay here and was very happy with the suite. Couple of things to point out: there was no furniture on the balconies and aside from a pouf, no furniture in room to move outside. So meant nothing to sit on to enjoy balcony and it’s view. Also the curtain was only half curtain so to block out light need to shut the shutters which then restricts air. I didn’t mind but if you want darkness to sleep might need to bring eye mask. Like I said only minor things. Overall great place. Hot water - i mention as I know this is important to people :)
Hanim Boutique Hotel

We first stayed at the Hanim in 2019 and loved it - and Chania - so much that our first post-lockdown trip abroad had to be back there. Socrates' four course breakfasts are as good as ever and Rena couldn't be more hopeful in ensuring you have a great time. The staff at the Hanim are all very friendly and helpful. All the comments from my previous review still apply. Large airy quiet air-conditioned rooms with big beds; bars and restaurants right outside your door. lots of interesting individual shops around the harbour and in the numerous little alleyways that make Chania so picturesque. Now money is getting tighter the Hanim is great value too. Hopefully we will be back again before the travel insurance gets too extortionate but we have delightful memories of the Hanim and Rena and Socrates to see us through the English winter. Efcharisto Hanim!

The location of the hotel is very good, just in the small square of the old town. Very convenient and very clean. Drinks are also delivered every day. The only downside is that there is no elevator. If you live on the third floor, it is a little tired.

Their reception is 5 minutes away that means no one will greet you, and you have to wait for the staff to come and open the door for you. It is noisy at night
