Hotels near Wat Si Don Chai in Chiang Mai

Recently stayed at Lotus Pang Suan Kaew Hotel in Chiang Mai. The location of the hotel was not ideal, situated quite far to various attractions. Fair to say that the room was good and provided the basic amenities, delicious breakfast, though it felt a bit dated. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay. However, some areas of improvement could include modernizing the facilities and updating the decor to enhance the overall guest experience, especially there are leakage near bathroom area, it definitely has potential to be vintage hotel if improvement made

Pros - Convenient location, take only 5 minutes to One Ninman. - Room tidy but a little bit small. - a bit far from old city and pickup service from local tour may not cover Ninman area, but staff helpful and help book tour to national park snd cooking class Cons - need to be careful when taking shower because there is only a narrow glass separator and water easily spilled out and make floor wet. Others: - We did not book breakfast Overall great stay with the budget.

Nice clean comfy and spacious hotel. One issue need to complain is upgrade to triple sharing paying 150++ sgd but its actually a superior twin room just extra blanket n pillow. No extra bed given. Feel cheated.

The hotel has ample parking, clean rooms, convenient transportation, near the market, easy to find things to eat.

This hotel is a budget hotel next to Central Festival Chaingmai mall. You can go buy food. Or you can shop easily and comfortably. The room is large, okay. There are adequate facilities. The disadvantage here is that there is little parking. and must travel mainly by car

Mahidolsodok has a delicious coffee shop nearby, turn left out of the alley to reach it, the night is easy to come back, the morning is fresh, no pollution when the service is very good, back late, still bring gin juice to eat. We got the family room, which was absolutely nothing like the beautiful, modern rooms in the main hotel, which the couple we were traveling with had and enjoyed. It was quite the opposite. Our room was in a connected building with a dark, shabby, un-attended entry. Simple railroad-style rooms were separated by curtains only, so parents have to walk through kids’ room to access the bathroom. The bathroom is oddly large and institutional, all tan and tile with stalls for multiple toilets and showers, reminiscent of a dorm. At night, bright lights shine through the windows all along one side of the room, even around the curtains — glass was frosted and windows unopenable. The room’s lounge area was not remotely comfortable for hanging out in. We still had access to the pool in the main hotel, but it is very, very small. And the cafe serving the little tables near it was never open (bring-your-own situation was fine, however). Good location and staff was kind. But for the price we paid and what the website showed/misrepresented, we expected much nicer.

Excellent location! It's on the side of Nimmanhaemin that has lots of food options, massage places, etc. It's pretty clean and comfortable. Aircon and bathroom facilities are both decent. The staff are friendly and helpful, including their housekeeping and technician. The only downside is that it is an old hotel, so the corridor is quite dark, the door doesn't feel like it closes securely, and the room/bathroom isn't the nicest (if you're looking for something more aesthetic). You can ask for a change of room though, eg to be closer to the lifts instead of far down the corridor, and the staff will accommodate your request readily if there's another room available. If you're sensitive to noise, it can be quite noisy at night because it's near a bar, but otherwise it's bearable.

While this place is a little off the beaten path it is practically a brand new hotel!! Very clean and nice! Breakfast was included and very good. For value and comfort this place is the best hotel I have stayed in while visiting Thailand.
