Alishan Gou Hotel Reviews

The reception during check-in was not friendly as other Taiwan hotels. Especially for Alishan hotels, most of them are really nice and helpful to answer questions but the lady we encountered was impatient to answer my questions.

Very close to the station. The room is clean and have all the facilities you needed. There was a shuttle bus for us to travel between the hotel and the tourist information centre, quite convenience.

Great location; Spacious room. Very nice surroundings. The only point I would suggest is more frequent shuttle bus.

This hotel has no regards for unforeseen circumstances like cancellation due to medical reasons. Even if there is a valid epically cert it will be disregarded. I do not recommend this hotel.

Went to Alishan for travel. Very nearby all attractions at alishan. Very highly recommended

This hotel located 20 mins (walking) away from the Alishan Train Station. It is clean and comfortable hotel. The room is big and newly renovated. Staff are helpful & friendly. Not many facilies available. The breakfast is very bad. We ate our instant noodles for breakfast. They have nice garden and you can enjoy the sunset there.

Building A is newly renovated. It is modern, clean and big. Hotel is next to a well known trail and also the railway station zhaoping. Think this hotel will do well if they improve on their breakfast. The spread is little and food is not tasty. Coffee is terrible. Also receptionists can be more helpful. All said. This will still be my choiced hotel to go at alishan.

The location can’t be better. Walk out of the hotel and you have access to all the trails. It’s located near the top of the mountain, so after breakfast, you can walk down the mountain, hit most of the sights between the hotel and the Sacred Tree, take the train down to the visitor’s center, and either take another train back up to the hotel or ride the free hotel shuttle back, all before the 11am checkout. There is a restaurant, but you can’t choose the dishes. They will prepare a dinner with different dishes based on the number of people, so picky eaters be aware. Breakfast buffet was plentiful, but limited western options (think toast)

Good location, staff is helpful, breakfast is nice. Room is big and clean.

new renovation hotel

There is a shuttle bus to and from Alishan Station/the visitor center at the entrance of the Forest Scenic Area, which is very convenient. The room was very tidy and had a mountain balcony. The only drawback is that the breakfast seems to be outsourced, the food quality is poor and the variety is limited. And it is one of the very few restaurants that requires you to clean the dishes yourself.

Alishan Pavilion Hotel is adjacent to Chaoping Railway Station and can be reached in 5 minutes on foot. You can sleep soundly until 5 o'clock in the hotel. You don't have to get up in the middle of the night and rush to the train station to catch the sunrise at Zhushan Station. The hotel environment is okay and gives people a peaceful feeling. The forest trail is very close to the hotel. There are not many choices for breakfast and the taste is average. Overall, it is a good choice to watch the sunrise in Alishan.

Because it is in the park, the location is impeccable, but it is a pity that there are really few breakfast options.
