De Vere Cotswold Water Park

We stayed here for 4 nights to explore the Cotswolds. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. On arrival we were upgraded to an apartment by the wonderfully friendly Maria, who made sure we were having a good stay throughout the time we were there. The food variety at breakfast was so good, the restaurant food was also great, I would recommend the Salad Nicoise. Our apartment was attended to every day, and the housekeeping staff were faultless. Although this is a dog friendly hotel, at no point was this apparent with any dog smells. Joanne, one of the waitresses at breakfast always welcomed everyone with her friendly smile and again, nothing was too much to ask of her. She is a real gem of the hotel. It was nice having the other choices on the site to eat and drink at too, The Hideout a particular favourite of ours. Would ber recommend to stay here, absolutely we would, and we would come back again with our dogs, the area around is so dog friendly with plenty of scenic walks, especially the big park in Cirencester. The pool area was clean and calming, as we were staying for a longer period, we were offered to use the pool without booking a spa session. This place is the gem of the Cotswolds Water Park to stay.
Wild Thyme & Honey

We arrived early in the morning, in the hope we could leave our cases while going to explore! We were welcomed straight away when we walked through the door with a big smile! We instantly felt relaxed. The attention to detail doesn't not go unnoticed from the decor inside and outside to customer care. The staff are a total asset, They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay. Breakfast had a fab selection of cold or hot options and was delicious 😋 . Dinner at the Crown was divine. (Did not want to share the apple crumble with my partner🤣) Our room had the same cosy wow factor as the rest of the hotel. Little touches like having the pantry and getting fresh milk delivered every morning, all add to charm of Wild Thyme and Honey. Thank you for such a lovely stay. We hope to visit again. Would recommend this hotel to anybody. We stayed in room 23, Watermill!
Kings Head Hotel

The hotel room, the bathroom and the breakfast would probably score a 4/5 but the basics let this place down. Day one - on check in the key card for the room wasn’t activated, down to reception to get sorted. Next it was discovered there were no bath towels in the room, back down to reception to get it sorted. Next it was discovered there were no pillow slips on the pillows, back down to reception to get it sorted. Bath is awesome, deep and copious amount of hot water. Had a good night sleep in a very comfy bed even though the room adjoins the lift shaft and there is a constant whine from the electric motor 24/7 (room 206). Day two - awesome shower. Down for very good breakfast; the only let down was a hair found on the plate. Mentioned to staff but didn’t make a big deal of it. It happens. On return to room late afternoon it was fount that the room had only been partly serviced. Beds made toiletries replenished but bin not emptied and no replenishment of milk, coffee and water. Back down to reception again to get it sorted. Could do this blindfolded by now. The staff have all been very kind and helpful in getting these issues sorted but these are basic housekeeping tasks that shouldn’t have to be ‘sorted’. It’s a pity as it is a big let down for us and the hotel. Still have tonight and tomorrow to go yet. At least I know the sleep will be good.
The Swan Hotel
4.5/579 Reviews
This hotel is the only hotel in town, so the tourist season is very hot and the price is not cheap. However, in fact, in addition to the Arlington row room suitable for taking pictures, there is nothing to look at here. It may also be a few days ago comparing the hotels of Strauss and Chipping Campden. It feels like the Swan Hotel is more like the American country hotel, no matter the decoration of the house or the restaurant. Good service, breakfast is buffet + order, rich. Opposite the hotel is a trout farm that can feed fish and feed geese, as well as fishing and barbecue, suitable for bringing children to this pastime. It is also 15 km away from attractions such as Burton, Bird Park and Model Village.
The Fleece at Cirencester

The room layout pays great attention to details. There are complete facilities such as teapots and ironing boards. The breakfast options are also good. In the lobby, it is also a good pleasure to sit down and order a glass of wine or a cup of tea. You can find many kinds of food when you go out to satisfy your hometown appetite.

On the weekend of 29th of July we held a get together for around 60 of us at This lovely hotel . On the Saturday afternoon we used the pretty gardens with an outdoor seating area where the staff served us Pimms . Onto the evening event where we all met for a three course meal which was extremely good and a disco ( which I have to say is the best disco we have ever had at an event so please pass our thanks onto the gentleman who provided us with great music all evening) From the first moment we met Charla we were extremely impressed with the care she took in arranging our event for us , she went above and beyond to help some of our guests far more than we would have ever expected. Every member of staff were friendly and professional and made us all feel special . The hotel itself it’s absolutely gorgeous, the public areas are relaxing and the bedrooms are welcoming and varied . The breakfast was one of the best we have ever had in a hotel and we have stayed at many . We would not hesitate to stay use the venue again and many of our group were going to book to stay here in the future with family and friends. So thank you Charla and your lovely staff for making our Summer Ball so very special Dee xxxx
