"The front desk staff, particularly YY, was incredibly friendly! Even though I arrived late at night, they greeted me warmly. The check-in process was smooth and seamless, and they proactively informed me about the hotel's facilities and nearby business amenities. The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to catch a taxi and access transportation. The breakfast was plentiful, and the service was thoughtful and thorough. Definitely five stars!"

"This is my fourth stay at the Swissotel Foshan this year, and the service quality is excellent! The hotel is centrally located, with a bus stop right downstairs and easy access to Zumiao subway station, making it very convenient for getting around. The front desk knew my daughter was returning and specially arranged for us to be on the same floor, making communication easier, and our room was upgraded – fantastic! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Now, I come almost every day for afternoon tea at Seasons Restaurant, truly experiencing the warm care provided by Swissotel. ❤️❤️"

"Susan was very helpful. There was a great reception team. They helped me order food and even organised a cab to get to Zhuhai. They also kept our bags after checkout for a few hours too. Highly recommend. The male manager was very kind and courteous too, I didn't get his name as his name card on his shirt was in chinese. Great service and would recommend."

"Excellent hotel experience, I will definitely booked this hotel when I visit Foshan again and strongly recommend to friends and families. This is my first time visiting China alone and it is the first time booked this hotel. The location of the hotel is in centre of tourist attractions. Convenient and affordable. All staffs are so friendly, , breakfast has so much variety, good quality food, tea and coffee. Some items are made to order. Every individual staff made me feel so welcome , as a solo traveller, I feel like home away from home. Rooms are spacious, clean, comfortable and affordable. Housekeepers are so friendly and professional. Concierge: Winnie, Vivian, Leona and Cheryl are all so friendly, helpful, they are always available for assistance and never hesitate to help me with whatever questions I have or anything I asked for. General Manager, Brian is so professional, knowledgeable and friendly. All staffs seem happy to work there and they all remember me and greet me by my name. I feel so pampered, spoiled and welcomed. I even received a special souvenir from the hotel to bring back to Canada."

"Coming to Foshan to buy furniture, Sofitel was a must! I originally planned to stay two days, but ended up extending my stay daily because the furniture malls in Foshan are truly enormous, and two days simply isn't enough to explore them all. My top choice for Sofitel was first and foremost its location – it's the official hotel of the Louvre Furniture Mall, with the mall directly on the first floor. You step out of the elevator and start shopping! Secondly, it's about a 10-minute drive to other surrounding furniture malls. Thirdly, the hotel is very clean, and the restaurant is also very spacious and spotless. Special thanks to manager Jia Cong for upgrading me to a French luxury room! Five-star rating!"

"This hotel is absolutely fantastic🤤! The room is spacious, not stuffy, and not humid at all. The location is super convenient – shared electric scooters are right outside, and a bus stop is just a few minutes' walk away. You can take one bus route directly across from the subway station and then easily get to Guangzhou, which is incredibly handy. I was visiting Guangzhou, but because of the Canton Fair, hotel prices were sky-high. Even the unpleasant rooms were over 200 yuan a night, so I opted for Foshan instead. Being from Shandong, I was quite worried about the humid, stuffy environment and insects in the south, but this hotel wasn't stuffy at all. Maybe it was because I caught a typhoon, and the temperature dropped. All the amenities are disposable, including towels, bath towels, shampoo, and shower gel, all in sealed, non-removable packaging, which is great. I stayed on the 6th floor, and there are elevators available for both up and down, which was also very convenient. Oh, and if I didn't want to go out for food, I could order takeout, and it would be delivered right to my door, which was extremely convenient. I highly recommend this hotel. It's right next to Zumiao (Ancestral Temple), which I also had a chance to visit. All in all, I was extremely satisfied with my stay 🤗."

"We discovered the our hotel room seems like has been refurbished but not to brand new, but its so much better than previous. The breakfast is better now if compared to a year ago. As usual the Chinese dimsum at the ground floor is superb! Like the ambience in this chinese restaurant."

"I used to not think much of it, but accumulating Trip.com membership points is genuinely useful. My IHG membership isn't particularly high-tiered because I haven't focused on it, but every time I book a hotel through Trip.com, I've been upgraded to a suite at least. This time was no exception; I booked a deluxe room and was upgraded to a family suite. Plus, as a Trip.com VIP, I received complimentary milk and Coke. Thumbs up to Trip.com! The location is excellent, a 10-minute walk to Zumiao Temple and a 15-minute drive to Nanfeng Ancient Kiln. There are plenty of dining, shopping, and entertainment options nearby. It's an old building, a renovation of the former Foshan Hotel. The lower-floor rooms don't get much natural light, but for just over 500 RMB, you can't really complain. If I had to pick a downside, it would be the service. When checking in, I had to proactively greet the front desk staff. The unoccupied staff didn't anticipate guests and offer to check them in, and after checking in, they didn't tell me which elevator to take, causing us to drag our luggage to the wrong floor. I feel like the service staff needs more training. Also, lunch at the hotel was about 20 RMB per person and felt very mediocre; I'd rather go to Dian Du De."

It's particularly well-suited for business travelers: the desk and chair height in the rooms, along with the lighting brightness, perfectly cater to work needs, maximizing business travel efficiency. However, younger guests seeking a 'trendy' or 'fresh' vibe might find the public areas (like the lobby and restaurants) to have a heavier, more subdued color palette, lacking visual impact. But its 'old' is a 'reliably old': cleaning details are impeccable (e.g., the grout lines in the bathroom stone, the cleanliness of the room carpets), combined with the staff's 'unobtrusive yet attentive' service (e.g., proactively helping with luggage, remembering guest preferences), which creates a 'familiar sense of reassurance.' It's a 'no-brainer' choice among hotels in Foshan, ideal for guests who want 'brand reliability + convenient location + hassle-free service' and aren't overly fixated on a 'new renovation filter.' I arrived after 6 PM that day, and the front desk proactively offered an upgrade, but since I was on a business trip alone, I didn't ask for it. I managed to get the last high-floor lake view corner room, which shows how popular the hotel is. They also offered a late check-out and the option to check out at the executive lounge on the 36th floor – truly excellent and generous service. Although the room included executive lounge access, I didn't have time to visit in the evening. The staff member spoke with a supervisor, but they were unable to arrange for a small fruit platter to be delivered to the room. Personalized service could still be improved!"
