"I was very satisfied with the service; it was the best I've experienced on this trip. The hotel environment is lovely, very clean, and the room was decorated so warmly, making it feel just like home. Watching the sunset was fantastic, with the Nile sparkling golden."
"The hotel's location is excellent; it's just a 10-minute walk to Luxor Temple, making it easy to plan your visits. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and offer an open view. The staff are friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with any issues. Overall, it offers great value for money."
"A good place to stay when exploring Luxor, about 10-20mins drive to all main historical sites and situated on the Nile - a beautiful spot to watch the sun rise and set. Very secure hotel with security controlling entry and exit to the island. Reception staff aren’t in a hurry to do their job so don’t expect quick service, attention to detail or timely responses as you might in a 5 star+ hotel. Service staff (as in security, restaurant, maintenance and cleaning) are all lovely."
"We loved this hotel. The staff made it an awesome experience. Everyone that works here was accommodating and helpful. Restaurants had delicious meals and the servers were quite friendly. The room was quiet, with comfortable beds and pillows. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve had in several years of travel and we’d stay here again for sure. Can’t beat the price!"
"The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. I arrived quite early by train, around 9 AM, and she was incredibly accommodating, offering an early check-in after just a 40-minute wait for the room to be prepared.
The place is very quiet. Getting a taxi to attractions on the East Bank is easy and costs around 50 EGP.
The surroundings are lovely, and you can even watch hot air balloons from the terrace!"
"Extremely satisfied! The hotel balcony offered a great view, breakfast had a rich variety, and the location was superb – very close to Luxor Temple and the Nile. It's also conveniently located near restaurants downstairs. Absolutely fantastic."
"stunning classical Chinese garden, famous for its unique rock formations that resemble lions. The labyrinth of rocks creates an intriguing, peaceful atmosphere where visitors can explore hidden paths and quiet corners. The garden also features beautiful pavilions, tranquil ponds, and lush greenery, making it a perfect spot for relaxation and reflection. It’s one of the best examples of Suzhou’s traditional garden design, combining nature and art in a harmonious way. If you’re in Suzhou, it’s definitely worth a visit."
"The hotel was surprisingly much better than we expected, especially considering its affordable price, offering genuinely good value for money. The facilities were a bit dated but generally quite clean. While perhaps not up to the standards of a true germaphobe, we found it perfectly fine. We had initially worried about not having drinking water, but were pleasantly surprised to find two large bottles provided daily. The location is excellent, within walking distance of both Luxor Temple and the local Souk (market), and we enjoyed a comfortable stay with a pleasant river view. We stayed for two nights and had breakfast at the hotel, where the staff kindly offered complimentary omelets. On our second evening, we even saw a bride-to-be at the hotel, which left us with the impression that it's a well-regarded establishment among locals."
"The front desk staff were all friendly and polite. The area in front of the hotel seems to be a popular hang-out spot for locals, so it was quite noisy until the early hours of the morning. But it's reasonably priced.
The facilities are old, but there is air conditioning (which is quite powerful), a refrigerator, a hair dryer, and an electric kettle would be nice, but the hotel is well-cleaned to suit Japanese tastes. There is only a shower, but the water volume is fine.
I think this is an irresistible situation for people who love Luxor Temple. There are food and drink shops within walking distance, and although you will generally be ripped off, the security here doesn't seem bad, so I think it's a convenient location."
"Sonesta helped arrange all of our tours, private car and guide, in Luxor. Except for a few small things, everything went well.
Note all tours booked must be paid in cash. This was highly inconvenient and rather odd for a 5 star hotel as every other hotel in our trip to Egypt accepted credit card for booking tours. I would highly recommend the hotel change this policy.
Lastly, the hotel has quite a bit of character as its decorations are of an older luxury style. The lobby and restaurant area looks to be renovated. The room interior is older."

EElizaveta ReshetnikovaGood, big apartment, we slept in the nearest bedroom (they only 3). Mattress, pillows comfortable, great sleep. Water pressure is good, towels, bed linen clean, cotton. Each room has a heater. A beautiful living room, there is everything in the kitchen to cook. We have arranged a transfer to the airport, thank you.
