Great
GGuest UserStaying at the Sofitel Winter Palace Luxor Pavilion is like stepping into a century-old dream along the Nile. The French vintage style is elegant and warm, with spacious, quiet rooms. Opening the window reveals lush gardens and the meandering river, where the sunset casts a golden glow and a gentle evening breeze sets a perfect ambiance. The hotel's gardens are serene and tasteful, filled with fragrant plants, and the pool is tranquil – every corner exudes timeless beauty. The service is gentle, attentive, and meticulous. Breakfast is abundant and delicious, offering both a sense of occasion and comfort. The location is excellent, close to Luxor Temple, providing a peaceful retreat amidst the bustle. Falling asleep to the sounds of the Nile and waking up to the morning light and river views, where a century of elegance meets millennia of civilization – it's a truly healing and unforgettable stay, worth savoring repeatedly.
GGuest UserEnvironment: Luxor West Bank is very cute and beautiful country villa, like a paradise, not far from the ferry terminal, may be more convenient for self-driving. There are beautiful murals and wall lights in the room
Service: The waiters are very enthusiastic, there is an old grandfather who is very good in English, the service is very meticulous and thoughtful, we bought watermelon in the market and he helped us squeeze juice for free. Later, he learned that he had worked in this hotel for 17 years.
Hygienic: very clean, the tile floor in the public area is bright and reflective, the sheets in the room are not ball-free, the towels are fluffy and clean, the water is a bit slow, but the impact is not big
Very nice hotel, we stayed for a total of four nights, and we can fight for $30 a night with the boss at the front desk. In the chat, I learned that this hotel was originally run by a pair of German wives and Egyptian husbands. In recent years, the boss took over. It is still operating with care. I recommend it to everyone. I also hope that the boss will continue to provide good service.
GGuest UserThe guesthouse owner provided excellent service and was very helpful in resolving any issues. Even though I was traveling alone as a woman, I felt very safe and secure there.
The rooftop offers panoramic views of the Valley of the Kings. I ate breakfast there every morning, which was quite good and filling (it included flatbread, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, hummus, fries, fried beans, and black tea). The location was convenient, and I could easily book a ride using InDrive. There was also a water dispenser in the reception area on the first floor. Overall, the place was quite clean for Egypt, and for the price, it was excellent value.
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts a beautiful garden, and the front desk service was excellent; they even helped us exchange money for Egyptian pounds – thank you so much! However, the facilities were average, and the rooms weren't very clean; dust was visible in many places. Breakfast was mediocre. The Nile River view rooms were extremely noisy at night, and the view of the Luxor section of the Nile itself isn't particularly impressive, so a garden view room would be the best choice!
YyunwhoiThis is the perfect place to stay for a perfect trip in Luxor.
The view from the sunbed overlooking the Nile is really beautiful.
The breakfast was basic but sufficient and it was a very peaceful hotel.
It was very close to the Karnak Temple and the Luxor Temple and the hotel amenities were great.
I highly recommend this if you want to have a perfect trip in Luxor!
GGuest UserThe room next to the pool is spacious and has dining tables and other facilities. The overall service of the hotel is also good. The location is also OK. There is a Chinese restaurant 10 minutes walk away. The taste is good, the dishes are large and cost-effective. Take a taxi to the Karnak Temple, about 50 pounds.
Suggestions for improvement;
1. The shower water flow is small, and it gets cold while washing
2. Some rooms need to be ventilated to keep the air fresh
3. The refrigerator in the large room of 001 needs to be thoroughly cleaned. It is an overlooked corner.
TTama PurbaThis Place is very clean and aesthetic. They have a rooftop to enjoy Luxor city on the top.
Kitchen is available to use for guest. But im waiting too long for check in due any misscomunication about receptionist and owner. But over all, this place is very good and just need 1km by walking
放放浪旅It's close to the station, but the road to the hotel is not well-maintained (this is true throughout Egypt), so if you have large luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. The hotel will arrange anything, including felucca, balloon, and transfer to the ruins. I had already booked the balloon and transfer to the ruins, so they arranged the felucca, but the time... I think the time was a little early. I came back just as other tourists were going out to the Nile to watch the sunset... To be honest, I think I would have been more satisfied if I had directly negotiated with the boatman along the Nile at the time of the scenery I wanted to see.
Hot water came out well and the water pressure was perfect. The only amenities were bar soap. There was no hair dryer in the room. I used one I brought with me, so I'm not sure if I can borrow one from the front desk. There was a bathtub, but it wasn't cleaned. In fact, the drain was clogged from the beginning, and my hair got mixed in, which was awful. The refrigerator was very cold, but I wonder if the air conditioner is controlled by the front desk? It didn't turn on even when I pressed the switch, so I asked the front desk and they turned it on for me. There is an elevator.
The clogged bathtub was the worst, but the hotel staff were all so kind (I told them I needed glue and they went out of their way to buy it for me!), and it was the only relief I felt in the rip-off town of Luxor lol. Thank you for your help.
