"We stayed here just for one night before catching the train the next day. The room itself was nice, clean, and the bed was comfortable, which was perfect for a short stay. However, all the rooms open directly onto the main lobby, so it gets very noisy early in the morning. If you’re a light sleeper, this can definitely be disturbing. There’s also a very large dehumidifier in the corridor that makes a constant, unpleasant noise."

"Karibia Hotel is located near the Kesawan area (the old city of Medan), making it easy to explore nearby attractions on foot. There are also plenty of artisan cafés around. If you’re here on a weekend, you can catch the car-free day event at Merdeka Walk, just a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel. Upon entering the lobby, you’re greeted with a pleasant scent that gives the hotel a luxurious vibe. The breakfast spread is quite good, featuring mostly Indonesian cuisine. The only downside is that there’s no smart TV. So if you’re planning a staycation and prefer to just stay in the hotel, it might not be ideal as there isn’t much to do; no swimming pool and no smart TV."

"The room was actually comfortable and very well-spaced from my meeting location. Although it wasn't spacious, I didn't think it was as spacious as it was stated in the info. However, I couldn't sleep on my last night because my bed suddenly shifted quite far from its original position. It gave me goosebumps."
