"The room was quite small, and the view from the window was a messy cityscape. You couldn't even see Matsuyama Castle from the room. Both the bedding and breakfast were of mediocre quality, which meant it wasn't great value for money. However, the location was excellent. From Matsuyama Station, you can take tram line 3 or 5 to Okaido, and the hotel is just a two-minute walk from the tram stop. The hotel is surrounded by various dining options and is very close to department stores."

"A hotel that gives a 5 star feel. Warm welcoming from the moment we reach till we leave the hotel. The hotel breakfast was good too. Located within walking distance from the train station and shopping street. Overall was a wonderful experience."

"Vessel Hotel Matsuyama is conveniently located right next to Takashimaya. A special thank you to Shibagaki at the front desk for her exceptional help, which significantly enhanced my positive impression of Vessel. I booked two superior rooms a month in advance, and the room size was very comfortable. There's also a large public bath on the 3rd floor, featuring a hot spring and a semi-outdoor warm bath. In the lobby, time-limited self-service beverages and Ehime ice cream are available (ice cream from 7 PM to 9 PM), which were a big hit with the kids. The hotel breakfast was excellent; the DIY udon noodles and five different flavors of orange juice were particularly my children's favorites. There were many Korean tourists at the hotel, but surprisingly few Chinese guests. The Ferris wheel on the 9th floor of the adjacent Takashimaya offers a discounted price of 500 JPY if you show your passport. Additionally, Takashimaya's B1 level has a Mini One bakery with freshly baked goods that's definitely worth a try."

"Conventient location; 10 minute walk to nearest bus station, and about 30 minutes max travel time to anywhere we wanted to go! Room was clean and compact; but the double bed is quite squeezy if you're fitting two people inside. Buffet breakfast is 1300¥ if you inquire the day before you intend to eat. It is 1500¥ if you buy it on the day itself. Accidentally booked a smoking room; but the staff were kind enough to change it for us once they had a room."

"The rooms weren't brand new, but they were spotlessly clean. The hotel's location is superb. There's a tram stop right outside the door, and you can reach another tram line in just 5-6 minutes on foot. Plus, the JR station is less than a 15-minute walk away. Right across the street, there's a good-sized convenience store. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I'd definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in town."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Dogo Onsen Honkan. You step out directly onto the shopping street, and Dogo Onsen Station is just a 3-minute walk away. There are buses to the train station, JR station, airport, and ferry terminal. The staff are very friendly and greet you every day with great enthusiasm. The breakfast is simple but nutritious. It offers great value for money and is highly recommended."

"This is a hotel with history and stories. The Japanese emperor and the great Japanese writer Natsume have stayed here. The hotel service is good and they will help deliver the luggage to the room. Check-in is at 3pm. We arrived at noon and could only go to Dogo Onsen Street for a walk and wait until after 3pm to go back to the hotel to rest. The kaiseki cuisine for dinner at the hotel is good, and the steak is very tender. There are Western and Japanese breakfast options, and we chose Japanese breakfast. The hotel's hot springs are average, on the second and third floors of the South Building, and the third floor is a cypress hot spring. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station, which is quite close, but it is uphill from the station. We took a taxi from the hotel at Matsuyama City Station for 1,630 yen."

"Attention Henro sama! Perfect stay almost across street from T49. I had walked that day from T46. Onsen use included with hotel stay. Onsen water hot and alkaline slimy, my legs feel so much better after an evening and a morning soak.  Breakfast was of wide selection, very satisfying. Stand up shower stall a bonus! Drip coffee machine in room also a nice touch. Very smart, modern hotel."

"The location is fantastic, right on the main street. You can take the airport bus directly to Mitsukoshimae. A taxi to the airport costs about 2500 yen. The bathroom has a separate wet and dry area, which is excellent. Express buses to places like Takamatsu leave right from the hotel entrance, and there are plenty of restaurants across the street. There's a Starbucks downstairs, and it's a maximum 10-minute walk to Saka no Ue no Kumo. The tram stop outside the hotel can take you to Dogo Onsen."

"If you're traveling with family, especially with your parents, this is a place I definitely recommend!! The size of the place is so huge that even if there's nothing nearby, just playing around inside the place is so much fun! The quality of the breakfast, dinner, and buffet is amazing... There's a massage shop, table tennis table, bar, and more, so there's nothing you can't find. The hot springs are amazing, and it was perfect to enjoy the hot springs while looking out at the forest. ㅠㅠ If I go to Matsuyama next time, this is a place I'll definitely be visiting again!!"
