While the breakfast isn't extensive, it's quite refined, and it's super convenient if you're in a hurry. The hotel hosts many tour groups from Europe and Southeast Asia, but the elevators are fast, so it's not an issue. We pre-booked dinner at the hotel's famous French restaurant, but business was slow – surprisingly few guests even on Halloween, and no decorations either. However, the food was delicious, the presentation was excellent, and the set menu was very satisfying and reasonably priced."

"Conveniently located next to walking shopping street, Macdonalds, Saizeriya, Muji, Loft and drug stores! Friendly staff who are always ready to help you. The breakfast everyday was so delicious and I got to enjoy it on a few days I was staying. I had a bicycle and they allowed me to park it on the 2nd floor which is the check-in lobby. The dormitory is quiet and everyone was respectful. There is a small kitchen with cutlery, utensils, a fridge, ice and water machine and microwave. I would come back to stay again!"

I reported the hygiene problem to Ctrip and the hotel changed my room to solve it. The room key is a physical key, not a credit card. You need to leave it at the front desk every day when you go out. There is also free supper curry and beef rice, and you can add 250 yen to eat udon noodles. There are free drinks from 12:00 to 24:00. But the location of the hotel is not very good. "The hotel is located above the Shikoku Bank building in Marugamemachi, with the front desk on the eighth floor. Minamishinmachi is right across the street. The area is bustling and transportation is convenient. There's a taxi stand downstairs, and it costs about 800-something yen to take a taxi to the JR station. There are public bus stops within a 5-minute walk, making it very easy to get to Ritsurin Garden and the train station/port. The hotel offers a variety of room types. I booked a twin room which was 28 square meters, spacious enough to lay out 3 or 4 suitcases. It's great value for money. The hotel service is excellent. When I was leaving for my next destination, the Kotohira Onsen hotel, I asked the front desk to help me contact them for pick-up. The two ladies at the front desk were incredibly patient and kept confirming the details. I'd give their service a perfect score."

"This was probably the most expensive hotel we stayed at during this trip, but it was unavoidable since it coincided with a Japanese holiday. **Environment:** The location is excellent. Downstairs is a famous shopping street, so you'll have no trouble finding food and drinks and can experience the local vibe. Although breakfast is simple, it's clean, and you can comfortably enjoy curry rice and udon noodles."
