"The hotel is located a few hundred meters up the slope to the right after exiting Echigo-Yuzawa Station's west gate. I was immediately struck by the university upon leaving the station. Although the road was a bit slippery, I arrived at the hotel and checked in without a hitch. The breakfast was plentiful, and there are two free public hot springs and a private one (reservations required). Soaking in the hot springs after skiing was absolutely wonderful."

"Not the most modern. But very cosy and warm, impeccable service and hospitality. Child play facilities inside the hotel (up to 6 or 7 years old). That's a bar for the adults too, open tab until the night. Private onsen is available for 1000jpy for 45 minutes, and is adjacent but separate to the public onsen that is available to hotel guests. Parking is just outside the hotel. Restaurants and snow gear rental is available down the road."

"We enjoyed ourselves tremendously at Naspa. The room was huge and luxurious by Japanese standard, in my opinion. It was clean too! The breakfast spread was amazing. It's a ski in n out resort. Decent slopes, sufficient for us to ski for 2 days. Its very easy to get to the train station to the resort. The stop is few steps to the r Left from the enterance of the station. Vice versa, The half-hourly shuttle to Echigo Yuzawa station and back made it very convenient for us to grab dinner and snacks at 7-11 or NewsDay. The Onsen was much needed after each ski day. We'll be back NASPA!"

"Room was spacious. But overall hotel is old and certain parts of it felt like stepping into North korea. But it was quaint and suited the old town vibes. Hotel provided free shuttle from echigo yuzawa station. Room only had Japanese tea cups and no spoons. Parts of the room had cobwebs and similarly at the onsen. They charged a 150 yen per person per day for onsen regardless if utilised or not. And this charge was not told to us through trip.com or during check in. Staff did not understand English at all. We had to use translator to communicate. The free dinner provided was nice for the first night then it became meh. And they strictly prohibited guests to bring own drinks to dinner as they had a drink menu. 350 yen + tax for a glass of coke. Staff were polite and nice."

"A very historic and traditional hotel, but the surroundings and rooms of the hotel are very clean, I stayed in the main building mountain view twin room - with bathroom, with private shower and bath with a long table with washbasin, and a large washroom with washbasin with long table. A living room with a sofa, with a large TV and Wi-Fi, there is a two-bed double room (Western style) and unbeatable snow mountain view, I love it! Environmental facilities are very satisfactory. The most surprising thing is that it has a Bluetooth amplifier, which is a must for me😆😉 The hotel has a shuttle bus to Echigo-Yuzawa StationOne half hour or so every day during designated hours,very convenient with a box walk only 18minutes very close to the station. In addition, the whole hotel staff service attitude is sincere, friendly, unbeatable. The private hot spring is very clean, because the room is fully rented, I book three nights one of the night to change the next room, but the hotel arranged that I do not have to move room, very courteous 👍 Don't underestimate the older employees, but can also communicate in simple English service considerate and have a place to put snowboards and snowshoes, no need to put on the guest room. In short, I give 150 points to this hotel with employees, I would choose to stay at this hotel again!"

"The hotel is about 10mins walk from the Yuzawa Station but there’s no shuttle bus service. All staff are friendly and helpful, except one young guy who never wants to help you to solve problems. There’re karaoke and game room for kids and families. There’s also private hot bath available for those who don’t want to go to the public bath. But for those with luggages, the hotel has no regular luggage storage after check out. They can only keep your luggage until 1pm on the day of check out."

"Its a great hotel, with walking distance to echigo yuzawa station, 7 eleven and ski rental shop. It has great breakfast and spacious hotel rooms. Comfortable onsen and private onsen available, never forget the free ice cream and free supper (soya ramen). Great hospitality and worth the price."

"It was our second time staying at Naeba. The rooms are not the best, the floor is dirty but at least they staff were diligent to make the bed and change our towels daily. The selling point is really the slopes and the scale of the hotel which has more than 6 buildings, with 4 rental shops spread across the various lobbies, multiple ski schools, eateries, which is very family friendly. The ski area is great for December (start of the season) not too crowded and priced reasonably (food, rental etc) Children below 12 yo get free lift passes. My asks: laundry dryers can be better, and I wish the rooms are freshened up and old carpets removed. But overall, the scale of it, and amenities make it a great stay."

"The facilities are relatively old, the room size is OK, the view outside the window is nice on a snowy day, but the road from the station to the hotel is quite steep, and it is hard to walk with a suitcase on a snowy day."
