Amazing
RRona LiA truly enjoyable stay with beautiful views and a wonderful atmosphere
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The view from the room was amazing, and the Japanese-style room added a special touch that made the experience feel authentic and relaxing. I also loved the library and the overall cultural atmosphere of the hotel -- it created a calm and inspiring environment.
The movie experience offered by the hotel was a great addition and made the stay even more memorable. Breakfast was also excellent: very nice, beautifully presented, and delicious.
Overall, it was delightful stay, and I would love to come back again.
EETTE__The overall service was incredibly thoughtful, and the staff were friendly and polite. From the pick-up service at the station to the evening welcome, everything was perfectly executed, and simple English communication was no problem. As for the accommodation, the room was in a traditional Japanese style, spacious and clean, with a great view outside the window. Although the building itself is a bit old, it's very well-maintained. The onsen (hot spring bath) was a highlight – the water, straight from the source, felt silky smooth, and the open-air bath offered expansive views, making for a truly relaxing soak. Overall, it's a charming and hospitable onsen ryokan where you can truly unwind.
無無憂無慮的過日子、明天的事、明天解決Although this place isn't right on the ski slopes, they offer a shuttle service. The rooms are spacious enough, and the staff are friendly and can speak both Chinese and Japanese. They can also help you rent ski equipment, and the rental fees are much cheaper than at the ski center. The bathhouse has a nostalgic vibe. If you want breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you need to book with the owner in advance. The meals are affordable and come in generous portions. This is the best accommodation choice if you're planning a ski trip without a tour group.
GGuest UserThe room was spacious, which was great for staying with kids. There's a small ski resort right behind the hotel, perfect for beginners. If you're heading to Yuzawa Nakazato Ski Resort, it's a bit of a walk. The shuttle bus is quite convenient, running between Yuzawa Station and the hotel, taking about 15 minutes, with a stop at Iwahara Ski Resort. Dining options are limited; the buffet was just okay, but the à la carte options were decent, though reservations are required for both. Lunch options were very sparse. A downside is that there's no free luggage storage. So, if you arrive early or leave late, you'll need to figure out what to do with your bags.
AAKLTGreat value for money, very satisfied overall.
1) Convenience store nearby
2) Ski rental shop nearby
3) Acceptable walking distance to the Shinkansen station
4) Daily room cleaning service
5) The owner is very kind and friendly
6) Laundry room and drying facilities for clothes and ski gear available
7) Would be even more perfect for ski enthusiasts if they had a car
GGuest UserThe tatami is very comfortable and I like it very much. The outdoor hot spring is great. Snowflakes are floating in the sky, and I can enjoy the snow-capped mountains and tree hangings while soaking in the hot spring! The staff are especially friendly and enthusiastic. They helped me check the weather, find the route, and even found my lost hat! Special praise 👍
AAnonymous UserThe guesthouse's location is incredibly convenient. In the mornings, you can enjoy a stroll in the nearby Takizawa Park and see the dam and waterfall. The guesthouse staff are very friendly, and the Japanese breakfast is fresh and delicious, offering slight variations each day, which truly shows their dedication to providing a great experience. Guests can also access the hot springs 24/7 for their convenience.
EEli YeowSuch a cozy place! Free laundry and hot drinks were much appreciated. There is a fireplace in the common area and a storage room for ski/snowboard equipment. I topped up for the meal plan and the food was great, but the cooking amenities are sufficient for those who wish to bring ingredients and cook their own food.
Only thing was that the mattress was a little thin, but I only stayed 2 nights so it wasn't really a big issue to me.
KKaimei KaimeiAlthough it's a new opening, the hotel's essence feels like the glory days of the 1990s, just before Japan's bubble economy burst. The exterior has been updated, but the interior still has a dated feel. The staff are all very diligent; before they spoke, I thought it was Japanese service, but once they started conversing in various Chinese accents, it felt like I was in a Chinese hotel again. The sky onsen is fantastic; soaking outdoors while gazing at the distant snowy mountains creates a scene straight out of 'Snow Country.' Especially from the hotel room window, looking out at the train tunnel instantly transports you to the Showa era.
GGuest UserThe room is spacious but ordinary. The room heater is old and traditional that made the room very dry and uneven temperature in different parts of the room. The water heater is not stable and sometimes it will shut down. The bed and pillow is uncomfortable. The hotel just beside the main road of village and our room windows are facing to the road, thus it is quite noise in the morning especially when it is raining or snowing. To be concluded, the room made us uncomfortable. Not recommended.
