Do NOT recommend this place. 1. We did not have electricity for several hours during our stay which was awful for the children - one of whom had a nasty fall in the dark. 2. Ofcourse it's a nature reserve but we didn't expect to have poisonous snakes in our bathroom sink. Yes, it was a Ceylon krait...yes, it is one of the most venomous snakes in the country and it was peaking from the bathroom sink. 3. We decided to end our stay planned 2 night stay to a one night stay due to the above reasons. The owner (I didn't care to know her name) was extremely rude about it. She refused to arrange our BBQ (for which we carried kilos of food with us all the way from home, and she refused to have us use her fridge - she intended for the raw food to get spoiled. *This was despite her previously agreeing to the BBQ and us accepting to pay her fee too*) 4. So we were warmly shuttled to the lodge via the cabs from the car park, it was provided free of charge. However, since we decided to leave early, she demanded a ridiculous fee for her cab charge to be shuttled from the lodge to the car park (which is about 2km away from the lodge through a leech infested Forrest). So the 4 families with children including kids under 2 years, took the 2 km walk through the jungle. The only plus points in this shameful unwelcoming place are the 2 chefs/servers. They were incredible.
