The hotel is located near the venue, and a 5-minute walk is enough. The nearby tram station, train station and bus station are all very close and can be walked in two minutes. Overall a nice big hotel with excellent shared amenities.
The first room I was given didn't smell right but when I complained was promptly moved to a no carpet, low allergy room which was excellent. Decent breakfast and good bar but I cannot say the same about the restaurant which I felt was poorly manged. The waiters simply ignored you stood at the desk to get a seat - I have never had to wait for 15 whole minutes in full vicinity of seemingly busy waiters who had to literally look after 2 tables! When I finally did manage to get seated the service was acceptable and the food decent but I had never felt oh so guilty to leave a tip (I always err on the side of the poor waiters).
So - good hotel with some effort could be a great hotel. recommended with some caution.
