Stayed in a double room so ample sized room with comfortable bed. Our bathroom is the same size as our downstairs loo at home and goes to show how you can fit everything into such a small space! Fine for us but wouldn’t suit everyone as can imagine people would struggle to sit on the toilet with knees against the wall. Reception was a desk at the bar which is ample. Restaurant had some great dishes for evening meals. Ate breakfast over the crossroads at a lovely friendly bakery. Just grab a ticket if it’s busy to take your turn. So much choice. Close to the design museum and not far from the metro at Marmorkirken.

Hotel liegt gut in der Stadt, besonders hervorzuheben, mit der Metro Station Marmorkirken gut zu erreichen, damit auch vom/zum Flughafen. Das Hotel ist integriert in einem Haus aus der Jahrhundertwende, innen modernes dänisches Design, schöne Holzfußböden, Zimmer wohl alle individuell eingerichtet, sehr ansprechend. Besonders hübsch in der Toreinfahrt und im Hof mit zahlreichen Pflanzenkübeln ausgestattet, mediterranes Flair. Frühstück prima, reichhaltig und qualitativ gut. Einziger Nachteil - Zimmer zur Straße sind nachts laut - Autos, die an der Ampel anfahren usw, man wird daher auch recht früh wach. Die Jalousien, designtechnisch schön in Holz, dunkeln nicht vollständig gegen Straßenbeleuchtung ab. Die Fenster sind auch nicht schallisoliert. Wenn ich wieder buchen würde, daher nur Fenster zum Hof. Ansonsten alles wunderbar.

Jammer, zag er veelbelovend uit op de site. Maar er waren wel een paar dingen die niet helemaal top waren. Housekeeping is matig. Stofwolken onder spullen in de openbare ruimtes en had iets op de eerste dag van mijn verblijf onder mijn bed laten vallen en dat lag er na 4 dagen nog. Zat een krullende haar in mijn dekens, waarvan ik zeker weet dat hij niet van mij was. Naast het hotel werd tijdens mijn verblijf een steiger opgebouwd. Elke ochtend om 7:30 begonnen de werkmannen lekker met boormachines de steigers vast te maken. Zelfs met ramen dicht was het een kabaal van jewelste. Was aardig geweest als ze dat hadden vermeld tijdens de boeking maar dat waren ze ‘vergeten’. Omdat de kamers vrij warm zijn - want geen airco - moesten de ramen wel open blijven dus meer geluid. De gordijnen zijn luxaflex die totaal niet goed afsluiten. Ze geven wel een slaap masker maar dat moet je maar net fijn vinden of de hele nacht op kunnen houden. Hotel heeft ook niet echt een lobby of gezellige plek om te zitten. Ben uiteindelijk na 4 hele kort nachten vertrokken. De receptioniste was super behulpzaam en lief. Management wilde echter geld niet terug geven van de nachten die ik niet meer gebruikte. Super jammer, had het begrepen dat ze niet alles terug wilde boeken, maar gewoon geld opstrijken voor nachten waarin de kamer niet gebruikt werd, vind ik wel echt heel slecht. Receptioniste heeft kosten van fiets, ontbijt en car park uiteindelijk niet in rekening gebracht. Super lief van haar!

I requested an early check in. So, with no objections or conditions, the hotel accommodated a two hour early check in failing to mention that they would charge me for a full day for those two hours. I tried to reason with them but they refused to listen. So, I ended up paying for an extra night. I do not recommend this hotel for business or pleasure.

Nice hotel in Copenhagen with good location near park snd castle. Palace and many attractions . Everything was nice. Only the room size was bit compact and no lobby why? Service was fine too. Good food in restaurant too. Close to metro and rail??

I feel obliged to write a very negative review to forewarn others. It was a fairly rainy day and my family decided to stop by in this hotel to see if they can assist us in calling taxi. Not only concierge refused to do it, she literally forced out to the rain within 5 minutes of our arrival, saying she will call the police. Hotel was not crowded and it was so uncomfortable for us, which is quite sad since the rest of our visit to Copenhagen was great. Objectively, we did not stay in the hotel, but this incident left very negative impressions on all of us.

Liked · We liked the location in this quiet neighborhood with easy access to the underground metro. We didn't have breakfast here since the best patisserie, Hart, is close by and there is a small supermarket right across the road, where we bought yogurt. The room was nicely furnished and the bed was large and comfortable. Disliked · "Boutique" hotel usually means small number of small rooms, and this was no exception. Our room had no place to set a suitcase and two people cannot cross, walking between the foot of the bed and the wall. There is a lovely old desk, which can be used by sitting on the side of the bed.

In June 2023 we visited this pretty and easily accessible hotel in Copenhagen for the first time as part of our workation. For a week, we ran our remote office in the morning in a very tastefully furnished junior suite with excellent WiFi and enjoyed the advantages of a romantic bathroom and the cozy balcony with a view of the quiet inner courtyard. We visited the Skagen restaurant several times for breakfast and dinner. None of our culinary wishes remained unfulfilled. The concept of sustainability was also lived by, because the buffet was high quality and rich, but not wasteful. We also recommend the small rooftop spa with a seating area, sauna and a direct view of the Marmorkirken and over the roofs of Copenhagen. The picture is rounded out by the very authentic, friendly aura of the staff, from the Check-in to small assistances, excursion tips, visitation suggestions - simply throughout all areas. The hotel is located directly at Kastellet and almost everything in Copenhagen can be reached on foot, with a rental bike or with the very good public transport network. So we loved spending our afternoons and evenings with beautiful walks. In this way, not only the lovely city of Copenhagen secured a place in our hearts, we will certainly be happy to remain loyal guests to Babette Guldsmeden in the future. And so we started our new tradition by enjoying the Christmas atmosphere of Denmark's capital during a second stay at Babette in November 2023.
