Located in Courtenay, Anco Hotel Courtenay is in an area with good shopping. Crown Isle Resort and Golf Community and Blue Moon Winery are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Seal Bay Nature Park and Kitty Coleman Woodland Gardens. We stayed 2 days at the Bayview in Courtenay while visiting friends in Kamloops. The hotel is conveniently located right beside the river walk path. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was clean, quiet and had good amenities. The mini kitchen is very basic, but was fine for 2 nights. This is the third hotel I've stayed at in Courtenay and most of my stays are for business trips. My ranking for best hotels 1) Old House Hotel and Spa (love the apartments) 2) Bayview Hotel 3) Best Western (kind of a distant third) However, the Old House Hotel is very expensive (not a concern on business trips), So in terms of value, this would be my ranking 1) Bayview Hotel 2) Best Western 3) Old House

The property is exceptinally well maintained, rooms clean (a bit cramped though), and lobby/lounge very inviting. The service is the best part, very attentive and very guest service focused. Thank you Phone for your assistance all evening. Downside: noisy through the night (other guests), coffee maker in room not working, ice machine not working. Upside: Outdoor fireplace, BBQ, Heated outdoor pool, Specialty coffee machine in lobby and access to a microwave. Overall a pleasant experience.

It was well priced and close to downtown.

Stayed 2 nights on a drive towards the north of  the island. Very comfortable rooms and beds.  Spacious and good bathrooms as well.  Looks like newly opened or refurbished.  The hotel is around 3 kms from the main streets but has a few shops  and restaurants close by. Breakfast was very decent for a Holiday inn express with sufficient options.  Staff was very polite and friendly, and checkin was a breeze. If you are staying longer , please remember to ask them to clean the room. It will not be cleaned unless requested. They have a free EV charging station at the hotel as well.

Took a mother/daughter 5 night trip to Courtenay with my little 8 lb 2 year old pup. Needed pet friendly accommodations in Courtenay. The Old House Hotel appealed to me and they had excellent reviews. We were also thrilled that we could enjoy a heated outdoor pool/hot tub, and a full kitchen so we could prepare our own meals. There is also a gym but we didn't use it. The room was excellent, with a lovely nice sized patio overlooking the garden. The King bed was super comfortable as was the living room furniture. Kitchen was stocked well with nice dishes/cutlery, etc., including a dishwasher. The building we were in (there are 2) also came with a in-suite washer/dryer. The staff was friendly and helpful. There were fresh cookies everyday in the lobby and you could make your own coffee, latte, hot chocolate, mocha, 24/7. We would definitely return and we highly recommend.
