This was, by far, the most luxurious accommodation that we stayed in on our recent trip to Scotland. It was pricier than the other B&B's we visited, but offered much more in extras. We stayed on the ground floor in the Forsyth Room. It was convenient and quite large with a very comfortable king sized bed. There was a large wardrobe to hold our clothes, a desk, and coffee/tea station in the corner that included a chocolate treat each day. Home made scottish shortbreads were left out each evening for us, and a bowl of fruit that included grapes, oranges and apples was set out on the desk. The bathroom was modern with a large step in shower and heated towel bar. A hair dryer was included. Towels are large; no washcloths. The wi-fi had a strong signal. We had a small view of the sea from the room. Two comfy chairs stood near the bay window with the view of the back lawn and sea in the distance. Breakfast included a hot meal that we chose the night prior. I opted for the banana bread french toast one morning, and the toasted bagel with tomato, avocado and feta cheese the next. This was in addition to yogurt, granola and fresh fruit, or porridge with fruit and honey. We certainly did not leave hungry. A large living room was available for evening relaxation and it included an honesty bar. The B&B hostess also offers an in house dinner for a fee, if one chooses to just relax and stay in house for the evening meal. There is a large parking lot just outside the house. The walk into town is relatively easy, so one can leave the car and enjoy a lovely dinner without having to worry about driving or finding a parking place in town.
