- Arrived at the hotel on 28 Dec at 1230hrs. Was told that the room would be ready in an hour. After an hour, was told that the room would be ready by 1400hrs.
- Upon checking in to the room, discovered that there are no towels provided at all; no bath towels, no face towels, no floor towels. As we were rushing for a tourist visit to the Creek, we decided to request for the towels at night after returning to the hotel instead.
- Returned to hotel at 11pm, requested the concierge (Yusoff) for towels and was asked to dial ‘0’ for guest service instead (no personalised service given the ‘5-star’ hotel rating).
- Dialled ‘0’ and requested for all the required towels (2 hand towels, 3 bath towels for family of 3). Was only given 2 towels at that time and was informed that the hotel has no more towels currently (wth), and was asked to wait until 11.30pm.
- Dialled ‘0’ again to request for an additional towel and was only given 2 hand towels and 2 floor towels at 12 midnight, despite reminders that there are 3 pax staying in the hotel. Was totally fed-up and decided not to request for the 3rd towel.
- There is no one-stop service; was asked to check with the in-house restaurant if there is a need to pay for breakfast for my child. Other hotels which I visited in Dubai provided one-stop service; swiftly resolved the issue on breakfast payment for my child.
