Beach Lodge Motels

My wife and I stayed at the Beach Lodge Motel on Victoria Road in Dunedin for one night on September 20, 2024. From the moment we arrived around 3 pm, we felt very welcomed. To our surprise, the room was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable. Given the price, we had expected something smaller, but it turned out to be quite large, with a separate kitchen, toilet, and bathroom. The bedding was fresh and cosy, making our stay even more enjoyable. Anouk and Jared Drake, the hosts, were exceptionally friendly, and we truly appreciated their warm hospitality. We had pre-ordered a veggie platter for breakfast the next morning, and it was delivered to our room at 8 am as promised. I must say, the food was absolutely delicious! We only wished we had ordered one platter each; it was that good. I wholeheartedly recommend the Beach Lodge Motel in Dunedin to anyone seeking an affordable, comfortable, and conveniently located place to stay.

Very welcoming. Our unit was warm, clean and comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom were dated but functional. We would stay again. Side note, it is 6km away from the stadium but there was a park about 5 minutes walk that did free buses to and from the event.

Clean older revamped holiday units, did I mention clean. On-site laundry 1 machine & dryer, ample as this is short term. Debbie manager seems like a one women dynamo & very friendly. Kitchen supplied with clean pots and a Teflon frying pan that actually has Teflon & clean. Crispy sheets & fresh towels when needed. Great location supermarket & takeaways, restaurants within 1 klm. Much more relaxing than staying in town/Dunedin 5 minute drive. Very comfortable.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, older style rooms but they have everything you need and are very comfortable. Thank you Debbie for a wonderful stay, you were very kind to us, will definitely stay again when in town

The apartment was clean and tidy, however it was a little run down, i thought the price for a studio was a little bit overpriced. The toilet and bathroom are narrow. The host was friendly which was nice. It is nice to be out of town, close to the beach. Grocery shop and grog shop 5 min drive. Our studio was around the back, was nice and quiet, i liked being away from the main st

Very comfy beds but otherwise the unit was very tired needing a lot of work. There is 1 separate toilet (tiny!) and a separate shower (tiny!) but sleeping 9 people in 3 bedrooms it would be very crowded if there were actually 9 in the unit! It is a short walk to the beach.

This is a moderately priced, old-fashioned concrete block style motel which is kept well maintained. We stayed in a studio unit with a queen and single bed in the main room which had good heater and comfortable sitting area. There's a small well equipped kitchenette, and separate shower, handbasin and toilet. Recommended for a couple on a budget and perfect for a short stay of 1-3 nights.
