Even though they had given us the bar menu they then refused to serve us food in the bar and insisted that we go in the restaurant saying we could order it in there. On going into the restaurant we were told that bar food was unavailable in the restaurant. We had experience of the restaurant menu the previous night in the Novotel Narbonne, the menu is limited and does not cater for small meals. The staff did nothing to assist with providing some light food and appeared to not really care about it.Two French gentlemen who were at the hotel for business purposes and had overheard our conversations with the staff advised us not to eat in the hotel saying it was terrible. There was no manager on the premises only inexperienced reception staff and rude bar and restaurant staff. At the bar we had a Coke and a bottle of water, my wife was offered a plastic glass for her water and had to ask for a glass one. The person who served her just raised their eyes and slammed a glass down on the bar. This person turned out to be the restaurant manager. We are now sat in our room with no food as they refuse to provide room service which I thought was a requirement for a 4 star Hotel. The room is hot and humid as they have turned the air conditioning off. I have booked breakfast in the morning but now we do not wish to eat here so it will be interesting to see if they try to charge us for breakfast! Take our advice and don't stay here, 4 star hotel and 1 star service.

Nous avons eu le plaisir de découvrir cet hôtel restaurant au milieu de nulle part prés de Senonches. Très bon repas le soir au restaurant, produits frais bien cuisinés, service décontracté, tables bien espacées, très bon rapport qualité prix (menu complet à 36 euros, de plus, les patrons ne se rattrapent pas sur le prix des apéritifs et des vins, ce qui est très appréciable). Le petit déjeuner est servi à table, j'ai eu droit à une super assiette de fromage (camembert topissime!). Chambre moderne, très belle salle de bain.

The radiator heating was good it was an extremely cold night. But early in the evening the bathroom water was not really warm but was better much later. On arriving the receptionist was very friendly and I asked for an extra pillow which arrived within minutes. Breakfast did not bear any resemblance to pictures shown on some sites... In fact at first I was saw very little but having said that the lady in charge again very friendly quickly brought some stuff out and replenished. Cheese, ham and butter kept in a small fridge and the bread and cakes were very fresh. A Basic french hotel breakfast. Finding the hotel....well the Sat Nav likes to take the long way around and it is confusing at first. A case of remembering as you go around the back it is to the left of Courtpaille restaurant hidden between buildings or one ends up back on main road which is a dual carriageway. We would not stay here again.
