It is a hotel reused in an old monastery. It is a special experience. However, the design of the old building designer is not good enough. The route to the room is strange and inconvenient, and the sizes of the same room type are different. However, the new building does not have this problem, and it is very large, with a large terrace to enjoy the surrounding nature.
Before our dinner, a group reserved the restaurant. I wonder if the chef was tired because of this, which made our dinner very unpalatable. This should not be the quality of pousada meals.

Óptimo acolhimento, Muito boas instalações. Bar e sala restaurante acolhedores e de beleza arquitetónica. Exposição permanente do Museu de Arte Antiga de arte do século Quinze. Bem localizada e bons motivos históricos. A freguesia de Flor da Rosa tem motivos de interesse como o museu da Olaria e o Crato e uma vila a visitar. Terminado com um bom almoço em Alter. Enfim... Alentejo.

We stayed at the Pousada Mosteiro Crato during the International Ballon Festival in the Alentejo region and it was a wonderful experience. The Monastery has been beautifully converted to a hotel but in keeping with the historic nature of the building. The staff was friendly and spoke fluent English. The food in the restaurant was 5-star quality.

El entorno precioso y el monasterio una maravilla.El desayuno muy abundante y todo muy rico. Nuestra habitación muy cómoda y con unas maravillosas vistas. El personal muy amable sobre todo el camarero que nos atendió en el bar y luego en la recepción.

A very welcoming place. Great pousada to stay in. Luxurious, clean, well priced. Food was great both the breakfasts and the dinner. This is one of the best pousadas we have stayed in and we would have liked to stay longer. We love staying in historic buildings and loved expoling the monastery.
