The surroundings are quiet. There is a small kitchen for cooking. It is very close to Lake Matheson and you can see the snow-capped mountains.
It would be perfect if the hygiene could be better
The price is relatively high and you need to pay to use the public laundry.

It was already 6pm when I checked in, and no one was there to greet me. I got my room number from the note on the glass, and was told that the key was in the room. When I left, I just had to turn off the power and heating and leave the key. It was a very Buddhist management.
The room facilities were simple, and the bathroom curtain was a bit dirty and old.
It wasn't warm enough to sleep at night.

Motels are very common in New Zealand. The car comes directly to the door of the room, which is very convenient. Very clean two bedrooms and one living room. I had a pleasant night with my friends in the small town of Fox Glacier.
