The hotel is expensive for a reason. The lake view outside the room window is beautiful. The lakeside hiking beside the hotel is also nice. The breakfast and dinner arranged in the room are relaxing and comfortable. I recommend it.

Our fourth stay at this sublimely wonderful hotel and we can truly say that with each stay we love it even more. The staff are all exceptional and it is lovely to be welcomed by the same people who remember us, and who are all so professional, attentive, delightful and clearly very fond of and rightly proud of the beautiful building. We just hope that the unique offering at Glencoe House is never changed. The in suite dining is simply fantastic, of the highest quality and superbly presented. It makes for a thoroughly relaxing experience. We feel this hotel represents very good value for money. Other “luxury” Highland hotels we have tried don’t come close and have left us feeling very disappointed. Whereas we have always departed Glencoe House having reserved our next stay. This hotel is truly amazing and we cannot wait to return! Thank you so much to Graham and the team.

For our 40th wedding anniversary we decided to celebrate at Glencoe House. After hearing so many good stories about this place, we were so so excited to experience it. Location and property was perfect but sadly very much lacking in the 5 star rating that this property supposedly has. The staff were lovely, but understaffed. Food was very below average, which was so disappointing. One thing that was unacceptable was the handyman letting himself into the suite without our consent which was disconcerting. Overall not a 5 star rating, we’ve experienced 5 star on many occasion in Scotland.

Our stay during the fall offseason vastly exceeded our expectations. Delighted we could walk from the House to the Pap of Glencoe and Ballachulish, and got around readily using the local bus. We booked Suite 1 for views from window + hot tub, which was pristinely clean and at perfect temperature. Because not much else in the villages was open, we ate in our suite each evening, which turned out to be the right call because Sebastian and the kitchen crew prepared four-star food using hyperlocal ingredients, customized to our taste. We also had breakfast included in the rate which went beyond “Scottish” into smoothies and yogurt and local smoked salmon. We slept well in the firm comfy king bed with down pillows and coverlet. Appreciated the choice of hot and cold drinks available in the room. Was mildly disappointed that the room fireplaces were not usable, but got over it quickly. Highly recommend and would gladly come back.

This was our first visit to Glencoe House for a family wedding, loved every part of it. The staff were so helpful & friendly, James was just lovely, nothing was a bother to him. The rooms were amazing, comfortable beds & super soft pillows, the food was to die for…great menu to suit all tastes, loved getting everything served to our own dining table & not having to get your own. The views & walks were breathtaking. Honestly I can’t speak highly enough of the whole experience, would definitely stay again.

Expectation High, Delivery Very Low - Over Priced For The Service & Accommodation Got the price we were charged we were expecting something amazing. As you drive in, the house is very impressive, the way it stands, architecture, detail etc. The views would have been amazing from our rooms, but were obscure by scaffolding, something we were not told about prior to booking or arriving. If we had known this we would have cancelled. The greeting was OK, but again nothing amazing. We were shown to our suite which at first glance looked great. However we soon discovered that our bed was a zip and link and not even connected/zipped up together! Let that sink in circa £2,000 for two night accommodation and food and we have a zip and link bed, not properly connected or lined up. The TV would not work as it just said loading all the time. We returned after the first night, to find the housekeeping team had left the rubbish from our suite and someone else’s on the desk in our hallway. We also had a guest walking into our suite via a door that had been left open off what looked like a fire escape. The BT speaker did not work and when you went to the toilet (situated directly in front of an unfrosted window, you just looked over some camping pods/lodge type accommodation. All of this was reported to the front desk at the time, they were supposedly going to sort. The only thing that happened was the rubbish was removed. The TV, BT Speaker, Bed and security issue were not addressed. When checking out, again I spoke to the front desk and supposedly the GM was going to call me! Here we are 6 months on and still waiting.

What more can I say about this place that hasn’t been said already? Without a doubt, it is one of the best hotel experiences you can ever have. This was my second visit to Glencoe House and it was just as special as the first – and what a high bar to maintain. We stayed in Suite 1 and the antique décor is beautiful with plush sofas and stylings. You instantly feel relaxed and at home when you enter. Somehow it has an inherent cosy feeling mixed in with the finery. The room has luxuries such as a wine selection, full bar, and an amazing hot tub out the back. There is nothing – and I mean nothing – like sitting in the hot tub on a sunny day, taking in the gorgeous vista of the rugged highlands and Loch Leven. The food is also sublime, and dining is a very unique experience in the hotel. Breakfast and dinner are provided as in-room dining, so the amazing staff bring Michelin star quality food to your own personal dining table in your suite, which also happens to have an amazing view of the bay. Yes, the experience is as good as that sounds. The cooking staff are also so accommodating for gluten and dairy allergies, and were able to make special meal requests for my partner who is intolerant to both. And the bespoke dishes were lovely. If I had to try and name what is so special about Glencoe House compared to other hotels (because you only need to read all the reviews to see that it definitely is special), I think it’s that the experience feels more like a chilled-out luxury retreat than a hotel stay. Everything is brought to you, everything is done for you, everything is available to you in your room, everything is comfort. All you have to do is eat, drink, relax in the hot tub, go for stunning walks in the grounds, and enjoy the tranquillity. Trust me, within minutes of entering your hotel room, you’ll find your inner zen. I’ve never felt so relaxed so quickly in any stay I’ve had anywhere. So, if a chilled-out luxury experience of the highest quality is what you want … this is the place for you. No discussion.

Our two-night stay here while walking the West Highland Way was a lovely experience. Our two bedroom suite in the main house was absolutely gorgeous and it was very quiet — perfect for restful sleeping. You dine in your room at Glencoe House which may sound odd (at least it did to me), but it really works beautifully. The food was wonderful and the service was terrific. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

superbe manoir anglais, avec une suite fabuleuse, on avait l’impression d’être dans un château royal et Et être servi comme des princes, vraiment faire une expérience différente des autres. Hotels ce manoir est très cher, mais cela vaut le coup pour l’expérience.
