Best to ring and check its open before you go to avoid disappointment. Regularly changing staff means no real consistency for last two months. When we went the fire was off and we sat with coats on, but we went in again and “jez” was on duty and he makes sure the fire is on which is so much nicer. There have been limited drinks available lately and the beer was poor (tried two). When we asked for crisps we were told sadly not as they had only received boxes of out of date ones, There has been a change in ownership. Haven’t eaten there so can’t comment on food.

Lovely stay at this lovely pub/hotel. Great room and the food was fantastic. Only downside - I am diabetic and asked if I could put a ice block in the hotels freezer for a couple of hours then put back with my insulin, which was refused.

We stayed here whilst attending a Caravan Trade Show at the Harrogate Showground, which is situated not far away. The room had everything you required. The food in the bar was excellent. The staff were very friendly and efficient.

Exceptional place with an impressive team
Absolutely amazing place to stay. Warm, friendly staff, excellent location and incredible food. This really is an exceptional place with an impressive team of people. One of the best places I've stayed in a long time. Wouldn't hesitate to return.

Great pub, great restaurant
The Bay Horse is a lovely, cosy pub and has a fantastic restaurant. Marios is brilliant and makes you feel really welcome. We will definitely be back!

Great Inn and great food
Excellent Inn with fantastic food and lovely staff.
We have stayed here previously and got the same warm welcome both times. We stayed with our dogs and there are plenty of nice walks in the area.
