We were very disappointed in our recent four night stay. A major factor in choosing this hotel was the indoor pool. On the night of our check in we headed straight to the pool only to be met with a sign saying it was closed. When I politely inquired about it, the gentleman at the front desk could care less, didn't offer any apologies, and said it might be open next week or maybe not. We paid a premium to stay at this hotel (about $400/nt) because of a convention in town that we were not a part of. The pool closure was not listed on the website, in my booking confirmation, or in any of the other confirmations I received leading up to our trip. I did call customer service to voice my concern so we'll see what happens. The other big issue was housekeeping. There was a sign saying that you needed to request housekeeping. Reasonable enough. On the second night my husband went to the front desk to request it. He was told that we needed to request it in the morning. Okay, fine. So in the morning he goes back to the front desk and this time was informed that housekeeping is only provided every four days. Seriously?! So we were there for 4 nts/5 days and paid over $1700 and wasn't provided with any housekeeping. Totally unaccepable. The shining stars of this property were the women in the food area who were super pleasant and hardworking. I would not recommend this property. Look elsewhere.

Brand new hotel right in Greensboro downtown, can explore the historical area on foot. Large room, good breakfast. Nice gym. During my stay I was charged on my credit card something not supposed to be charged and without my previous approval and signature, this is not professional at all. Luckily I saw my credit card statement before to leave the hotel so I complained…watch out for unauthorized charges!!!

Hyatt Place was a great respite during our work retreat/conference. The rooms were well-appointed. I had a great view of the baseball field. Everything was clean and I felt safe since I had to use my key card to access the elevator up to my room.

Looks like Marriott used the pandemic to renovate and modernize the rooms. The furnishings look new with a somewhat modern flair. The room configurations though are easily recognizable for those who've stayed in Marriott properties before. On the plus side, the hotel is in a good location, basically at the northern edge of the downtown core area. It is across the street from the performing arts center so is a convenient spot to spend the night without requiring any driving, parking, etc. There are many restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the hotel. The hotel has a nice bar/lounge area that gets some traffic in the evenings. The rooms feel fresh and new although they are limited by the pre-existing room configurations and ceiling height. Despite its location, that section of town is actually fairly quiet outside of events at the art center. One can do many pleasant walks to nearby parks, the nearby culture museum or to simply view the older building architecture in downtown Greensboro. On the negative side, only complaint was that their pool remains closed (going on two years now?) Given the warm weather we had while there, it would have been nice had it been open!

The mattress in the sleeper sofa had a large blood stain. Hotel staff refused to move me because they were sold out, they did discount my rate. With other Convention-area Marriott hotels booked, I tried to make it work and asked for a mattress pad - they didn't have any! They told me they had no way of treating the stain because housekeeping was only there in the morning, but no effort was made to sanitize the stain the following day. Still no daily housekeeping (”due to Covid”) and the room shows the signs of that neglect. Carpet turned socks brown, the walls are dirty, the bathroom was not clean, the furniture is worn and needs to be replaced, the room had an unpleasant smell. Daily housekeeping may not have been an option at the height of covid, but it's time to bring this back so that rooms can get the care they need instead of being turned over quickly after a light clean when a deep clean is needed. The remote didn't work with the tv - only way to get the thing off was to unplug at the wall. Front desk staff largely unhelpful and almost argumentative. When I inquired about the mattress, I was told ”what do you want me to do about it?” I've try to be brand loyal to Marriott but I will never stay at this hotel again.

We just stayed overnight for a short time on our way to Charlotte. Room was nice and clean and it even smelled nice. Lots of places to eat within walking distance of the hotel. Didn't see whether or not they had breakfast since we were hopping back on the road the next morning. Friendly staff

Excellent
GGuest UserThis Fairfield was a lovely surprise. Apparently it’s fairly new because it was lovely. Check in was great with a very pleasant manager. The room was nice with a superior bathroom. Tv had tons of channels if you have time and the bed was comfy. Location was great, near I-40. Breakfast was fairly standard but there s a nice egg dish for low calorie fans. One of the attendants at breakfast was lovely and welcoming, the other was very grumpy and didn’t even attempt to smile. We all have to put on a smile when we don’t feel like it sometimes. Oh well, not gonna let that ruin my experience.
GGuest UserOMG, the bed just wraps me in it and the pillows were to die for. The overall experience was a dream. I was having a very bad day. Our flights were delayed and the original hotel that was booked was some dump we came there and they were having a manager's reception and Kenneth was a great manager that assisted Levon. Awesome front desk staff.
GGuest UserAwesome location and very quiet. Reakfast is for everyone even the picky eaters. Fruit always on hand for an evening/night snacking. Super friendly and helpful staff.
GGuest UserReally Poor Value for Money - Very Poor Customer Service. The Embassy Suites Hilton brand used to be a very safe bet, but if the Greensboro Embassy Suites if by far the worst hotel I have stayed in in the last twelve months. Most certainly the worst Embassy Suites I have ever stayed in. The rooms are never cleaned, never serviced without having asked for it, but you are not told this when you check in. Their excuse??? - we cannot get the staff - UTTER BS - pay a good wage you will get the staff. Breakfast is really low grade poor quality food, the coffee was disgusting, ON the second day we had breakfast at McDonalds that's how poor the brekky was at this hotel Rooms are in need of some major TLC and the managers reception/happy hour is now reduced to a two drink, bottom of the rack booze, that a skid row wino would turn his nose up to - this is dumbing down at its worst We will not be staying there again, unless they bring this hotel back up to the standard that one would get They are charging top dollar and providing bottom dollar service Why are the Americans accepting this poor value for money???
孙孙Because I drove to Washington by car, the hotel in the middle of the stop was much better than expected. It feels safer, breakfast, free parking, high cost performance, it is recommended.
LLGILMAN479The Quality Inn & Suites Airpark East has been my go-to hotel in Greensboro for several years. In the past I've stayed elsewhere in town, but for the past coupe years, I've settled in on staying here exclusively as they offer the most value for my money. My stay was in room 113, a room I've stayed in before. I almost always request a room facing the atrium/indoor pool area. These rooms are limited in number and slightly more expensive, but they have a sliding glass door to the atrium. My only (minor) complaint for this stay was that a half full carton of orange juice was left in the refrigerator. Well, the lampshade on the desk could stand to be replaced, but that's almost trivial. The rest of the room was as I've come to expect - clean, comfortable, and in good condition. The new renovations help modernize the rooms while still being attractive and tasteful. This hotel also has the best indoor pool in the area, as it's surrounded by a large atrium with plants and large glass windows on one side. The atrium carpeting needs replacing, though - if anything shows the age of the property, it's that. Staff was friendly and helpful, even if interactions were limited due to COVID. Breakfast is pre-wrapped grab and go items you pick up at the front desk. The Quality Inn & Suites Airpark East is an excellent Greensboro hotel choice if you're looking to save money without sacrificing cleanliness and amenities. Its physical plant is older, but it has everything those new hotels have - except the high prices.
GGuest UserOnly bad thing was bathroom was in need of maintenance. But the room itself was very nice. Bed was actually more comfortable than the one I have at home. Staff was quick to help with any concerns quickly. Would definitely stay here again. Excellent stay!
