Good locality, clean and spacious room. Come down you can find food and shops around at the heart of Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street. Each room they provide 4 can drinks for free: coke, sprite, beer and herbal tea and bottled waters refilled everyday. The reception staffs are friendly, informative and helpful. Definately recommend to stay at Voco and will return to stay.

Given the high rating and reputation of this hotel, I was shocked by the conditions of the supposedly newly renovated rooms. I was staying at the standard room on the twelve floor , facing the historical buildings. We checked in after 10:30pm under the drizzles and chill - the outside temperature was around 10 degress. I noticed the holes of the linen of the blinds when they were rolled down, though it could still function. Yet, the light shield was worse. It was trapped on one side and could not be let down. The plus side was we were offered another room on the same floor immediately. Leo who helped to bring our luggage up was very polite and patient. He stayed outside our room when his colleague brought the new key of the new room and accompanied us to the new room to ensure everything was all right. He was worth 5 out of 5 for service. However, I would further explain why I only gave 4 out of 5 for service. Yet, the new room was smaller and for any other international hotels , from my experience, would offer an upgrade of the room. This hotel did not. Thats why I gave 4 out of 5 for service. The linen of the blinds in the new room was still far from 100%. I could still detect torn tissues , most probably because the blinds were dated. Thats why I gave a 3 out of 5 for facilities.

Great value for money, super clean, comforable bed, beautiful river view from hotel room. Need to specific mention this hotel have very amazing, friendly and helpful staffs. (We left a wifi egg with charger behind and they gave it to us immediately when we check out!!) Walking distance to eateries and river cruise at the pier. Stay for 2 nights in this hotel, just a bit disappointed coz can't go to the rooftop bar due to events on both nights. Also need to mention elderly need to be very careful when using the shower room of the hotel coz their floor are made of marble. It can be a bit slippery. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel and will come back next time. We had a wonderful time here, thank you very much.

Mr. Zero Zhang from the concierge is very friendly and helpful. When asked him for the nearby attractions and restaurants, he advised us patiently. The location of the hotel is nearer to the East Gate of Yue Xiu Park, where we spotted this bookstore with Zen feel. However, it took about 15 min walk to the nearer mrt station. I would suggest the front desk to have a clearer queuing line for check in. There is one counter stated on the floor carpet for membership, so I queued at the next counter where the staff was serving a customer in front of me. Another counter was also busy at that time. As it was slightly further, so I thought it meant for checking out. While I was waiting, I noticed guest who came in later than me was being served at this counter. May be the hotel can arrange someone at the check-in counter to advise the guest when checking in. (This is the other hotel which I visited have done so.)

The biggest hotel I’ve stayed in Guangzhou. Was very happy to see the huge room with a separate living area, bathtub, separate shower and toilet. Then the leakage happened. What a shame, don’t know why there is a flood whenever we use the shower. The bathtub, toilet area and sink area is fine, but the water will flood most of the toilet floor after shower, and the worst is there will be a foul smell that comes after. Shower room is just next to the beds, so we ensure the shower door is shut when we sleep to keep the smell away. Other than the shower mishap, everything is perfect, I was surprised to see they even have different charging lines near the dresser and the tv area, very thoughtful!Location is the best, shopping plaza just across the road with a delicious dim sum restaurant on the 2nd floor, be sure to go early, I reached close to 11am and que for almost an hour to get a seat. The super market in the shopping plaza is expensive but the bread offers buy 2 free 1 if you go after 8pm, the bread is so tasty, I brought back to sg and ate for 2 days it still taste very good. Bought kiwis and persimmon back to sg and both taste very good as well. Subway is just 3 mins away and easily to get taxis from the hotel or from the roadside. Walk about 30 mins to qing hui yuan, one of the famous garden in Guangzhou, visit the huang fei hong and ye wen gallery. Take the subway 2 stops to Beijing bu xing jie, plenty of shops and vibrant place, it’s a must go. Really love the location of this old hotel, so convenient and surrounded by shopping and eateries, just need to make sure to have a shower room that doesn’t leak.

Nice location, near attractions and the train station. the renovation was in progress during my visit and nice decoration for the lobby & serve for tea & snacks. Nice breakfast and supper. My luggage was delayed and the receptionist was helping me check the courier status and make a call with them. Advantages - Good receptionist service Disadvantages - only one lift for usage.

The service attitude has improved, which is good. The room lacked mosquito repellent sheets and not enough paper towels. The shower head is leaking. The hardware needs to be improved. The pot was removed before breakfast, thank you👍🏻. It is recommended to add fried rice noodles and fried vegetables. There are too few frozen food options alone. Or don’t use quick-frozen products. Just fried noodles, white porridge, and vegetables are enough. I basically drink soy milk and eat eggs.

優點—— 主要是看中酒店地理位置，也是朋友推薦考慮便捷原因，去景點打車不超過15分鐘才選的這家。前台實習生牌子的員工態度都挺好的，老員工不太行全程面無表情。房內空間不大，整體佈局合理，衞生整潔有序。床墊很難得是硬的，很舒適。早餐品類不多但味道都在線。 缺點—— ①下了兩個訂單，攜程平台要求再填一位入住姓名，但是辦理入住時兩個訂單沒有關聯，不知道是攜程的問題還是預訂部的問題； ②兩個房間都是同個房型，五個人辦理入住時前台衹告知免費升級了房型，因為其中一間還是臟房，先開了一間，結果後來拿房的時候説衹升級了一間，長者孩子一行人要分樓層，解釋説是房型短缺，可我明明兩個都是同個房型，不清楚是否是訂單未關聯分開排房的關係； ③辦理入住的前台人員工作態度尚好，但技能有待加強。因為其中一間是臟房，身份證是已經拿去過的，系統不切入住先保存證件訊息和公安錄入訊息就好了，可是等回來拿房的時候告知要再去取身份證重新錄入辦理，原因是臟房不能切入住……； ④詢問能否另一間也做升級，老員工面無表情給到的答覆是我們沒有這個權限，這個理由直接給我整不會了。可以説沒有升級房型了，可以説其他的，沒有權限真的很可笑，我沒有要求房型升兩級呀……； ⑤vc房門不是關閉狀態，不確定是否有二次檢查過，房內電燈空調也都開啟，但第一間房進入前是全關閉的； ⑥第二天給前台打電話讓做續住衞生結果沒有打掃，再致電前台説不用了等下午出去再整理，結果午睡的時候來按門鈴打掃了，兩間房都是把長者小孩全部吵醒。 綜合對我而言是住得讓人火冒三丈的酒店，花錢找氣受。 酒店整體符合經濟型特徵，對入住體驗要求低主攻玩樂的還是可以入住的。

Heritage Hotel from the 30’s. Very nice hall, with a old fashioned taste. We arrived late in the evening (about 24:00), no concierge available at that time. Worst thing the room was very cold (14 degrees) and the heating air conditioning system was not working! Response from the Hotel staff was slow, trying first to pretend that the heating was ok and then after a long waiting, proposing a down-graded room, with some excuses... Then, after about half an hour, they delivered us a portable heater. Breakfast in the morning was below expectations, not well displaced, dirty tables and the staff again inattentive. Location is good for a walk in the old fashioned Shamian Island.

Hotel location: Juejuezi! Just outside the door is the arcade pedestrian street with the atmosphere of old Guangzhou. Convenient transportation: dozens of meters away from the bus station, close to the subway entrance, Hualin Temple, Cultural Park, and Yide Road. The pedestrian street is full of century-old delicacies, such as Tao Tao Ju, Nan Xin Shuangpi Nai, shrimp dumplings, squab, roast goose...you have to bring a 1TB stomach 😂 The food in Guangdong is really right! There are many attractions around the hotel: Yongqingfang, Guangdong Customs, Sacred Heart Cathedral, Shamian Island, Beijing Road Big Buddha Temple, all within walking distance. Hotel environment: clean and tidy, although it is in a busy city, it is quiet in the middle of it. The front desk is friendly and professional! recommend!

I originally wanted to stay casually, but the price/performance ratio exceeded expectations. First of all, they took the initiative to upgrade us to a larger room. The two girls at the front desk were very nice and the room was very clean. It is on Shangjiu Road, opposite the Yinji Rice Roll Shop. , it’s not too far to walk to Xiajiu Road and Guanlv Tea House. The room size is good and quiet. The air conditioning is powerful. The water in the shower room is very large and the water drains quickly from the floor. I’m very satisfied.
