Parkim Ayaz Hotel

Unfortunately I must report a very unfortunate experience we had during our stay at Parkim Ayaz in October of this year. We are a family of 3 (my 2 children, my Daugher aged 14 and Son aged 11 and me). We travelled with 3 other families. We have taken the same trip to Turkey on 3 other occasions but this was our first time staying at Parkim Ayaz. Our stay was quite uneventful until the last night of our holiday. After dinner our group went to the hotel bar close to the beach for the night time entertainment. The children were moving between this bar and the pool room. I spotted my Daughter leave for the pool room but she was with my friends son so I thought she was safe. She came back to the group a few minutes later very distressed. She said there was a group of hotel workers sitting outside the all inclusive restaurant and one of them followed her and my friends son. He followed them through the grounds of the hotel and as they approached a dark corner he grabbed her and assaulted her, she escaped luckily before it became too serious and ran back to our table with my friends son. My daughter explained where they had been sitting. I immediately looked for security. I found them slow to respond initially. They called the night time manager. I took them to the area where my Daughter described and found a group still there. I pointed them out to the manager. He spoke to them and said they told him they were there all night so he said it must not be them. At this stage I was becoming increasingly frustrated and demanded they call the police. The police arrived quite quickly. They asked to view the security cameras. They could see the hotel worker following my daughter and friend into the darker area, they could also see my daughter running back and him again following them out of the area. The man was identified and arrested. We spent all that night in the police station and hospital and all of the next day in the police station and prosecutor's office. I believe it was managed effectively by the local police but I am disappointed in how the hotel managed it. I don't believe they had adequate measures in place to vet staff and protect guests. I had expected my family to be safe within the hotel premises, but unfortunately, this was not the case. This incident not only ruined our stay but also deeply impacted the holiday of the group we traveled with. A hotel manager met us when we returned from the police station and offered us lunch. They have made no attempt to compensate us for our stay. I requested an incident report and they have refused to provide one. All in all, I think particularly if you have teenage daughters then be very weary about choosing Parkim Ayaz for your stay. I would hate to think a similar incident could happen to another child.

We stayed at parkim ayaz for a week end of October was bit weary about weather that late in October but it was fantastic as it was last week before hotel closed was quiet so no rush for sunbeds by pool which was cold we spent most time on beach which is unusual for us sea was warm in lovely bay there were stray dogs on beach but were so friendly give them bit of food from restaurant and they would walk with you down beach lol. Boat trip was for around 5 hours made change and only £20 per person jumping off boat into sea was good fun had some great photos off photographer on boat who was very funny other water sports can be booked on beach. Our room was OK plenty of room cleaned every day with beds made and towels changed. Restaurant we always found something to eat that we enjoyed lunchtime selection at restaurant or cozzie bar kebabs yummy. Drinks were really good beer was nice gin tonic and some cocktails were really good. Really convenient was shops but be prepared to be hassled but definitely barter never take there 1st offer and walk away they will always drop price. Hotel staff were really nice in reception checkin was quick and cases taken to room bars restaurants staff always welcomed you and chatted overall really enjoyed stay meet some other nice guests and would recommend hotel.

Just got back from a brilliant week here, couldnt fault the place, the staff, rooms and food were all excellent. Room cleaned every day and plenty of choice in the restaurant. Walk out of the bar straight onto the lovely beach. We caught the bus from right outside the hotel into Bodrum for 30TL each! Great service at the bar never had to wait for more than 2 mins to get served. A lovely relaxing break at the end of the season.

Looking at the review which were showing good, so booked a week end of October 2024 for 4 couples. Rooms was more a cupboard than a room with a tiny 14" TV with minimum channels (1 with English). Room was functional with a tiny shower occasionally hot? As a mobility impaired person I pre-booked a suitable room to be given a staired access? No options to exchange? All "cocktails" tasted the same, with cheap limited spirit's selection. Food was bland with little change in menu from day to day. Staff were little more than pleasant. Only comment to make was;, "its Okay"? Could be better but not much worse. A hotel with amenities, food, entertainment, drinks and staff on a very strict budget. Many problems, too many to mention. Cheap hotel and hence not a pleasant holiday, Management needs replacing. or training?
