It’s up in Gora, so I have to be non biased on this one. The location is not fantastic, but there are shuttle services ferrying you to the train station. The buildings kinda old, and there are 2 separate ones where you have to go over for onsen and/ or dining. Onsen is small compared to other ryokan. Overall, it was a memorable experience for me, if not the best one yet.

The environment is beautiful, the hotel is a bit old, the service staff's attitude is OK, the food is so-so, but the children like it very much

It's about 500-600 meters to the cable car station and you have to climb a slope. There's no scenery around, it's just very quiet. To be honest, I think the hygiene is average, the carpet in the corridor is dirty, the hot spring is very comfortable, but the hygiene of the hot spring is average. The room is quite comfortable. Although there are many varieties of breakfast and dinner, the ingredients feel average, a bit like a big pot of rice, haha. How to say it, for this price, I think the experience is average.

This hotel in Hakone is really worth recommending. It is only a few kilometers away from the Owakudani attractions and the hot springs are of high quality. Surrounded by the Hakone Museum of Art, Gora Park, and the cable car. The mountains and forests are dense, and the scenery from the room window is beautiful. There is an independent hot spring pavilion and a hot spring pool inside the building. The large glass directly faces the jungle. The small outdoor pool is blocked by a fence, but you can see white clouds drifting across the blue sky. The dinner and breakfast ordered at the hotel were exquisite and delicious, both beautiful and delicious.

The variety is good. The old man in the restaurant is very considerate. He asks the hotel every day to prepare hot dishes and meals on time. The guy at the front desk was also extremely enthusiastic. He didn't bring an umbrella on a rainy day, so he sent us to the station and gave us an umbrella. We didn't take the money to buy an umbrella, and he took the trouble to help us book taxis and reservations.

I went there the day before. I received it at check-in. The welcome tea was very warm and relaxing. The staff was polite, the food was delicious, and the quality of the hot springs was also good. Gora Station and Hakone Park are also within walking distance. It was also convenient for transportation. If I have another opportunity, I would definitely like to use it again. thank you very much.

The service of the service staff is good, but the room facilities are very poor, very old, there is no shower in the room, and the windows cannot be opened, so the experience is not good.

This place is worn down. It’s dirty, the hot springs are completely uninviting (read: gross) - it’s a super budget place. It’s also totally boring at night. There’s nothing to do or see if you get trapped inside because of the rain. There are no common areas and you have no choice but to sit in your room on the floor on top of the duvet (it’s not a futon). If you are here in a couple, extra sorry foe you - kids and babies everywhere (again, it’s budget). Definitely would not stay here again. :( #bored #hungry #sucks

My experience at Kiritani Hakoneso was deeply disheartening and, frankly, an affront to Japanese hospitality standards. The room assigned to me was noticeably dirty and gave off an unpleasant odor indicating a clear lack of cleaning and maintenance. The furniture and fixtures showed obvious signs of deterioration and aging, which contributed to an overall feeling of neglect. The service of the staff left much to be desired, with a lack of attention and professionalism that does not correspond to the expectations of an establishment of this type. The complete absence of WiFi access, in an era where connectivity is essential, is inexcusable and shows a lack of consideration for guest needs. In conclusion, the Kiritani Hakoneso is, without a doubt, the worst hotel I have had the unfortunate pleasure of staying in in the entire country. Their lack of cleanliness, comfort and customer service represents an embarrassment to the reputation of Japanese hospitality. I highly recommend finding accommodation elsewhere to avoid a similar experience. My experience at Kiritani Hakoneso was profoundly disheartening and, frankly, an affront to the standards of Japanese hospitality. Access was good as it was close to the station. The inside of the building was beautiful, probably because it had just been renovated. The view from the room was good and the cleaning was perfect, so I was able to stay with peace of mind. The bath has good spring quality and temperature. The body and soul were healed in the hot spring with muddy water. The food was good in quantity and well seasoned. I felt safe eating in the private room. I would like to visit again someday.

The reviews on a famous travel site were good, I had accumulated points from that site, and it was on sale, so I decided to go here without doing much research. In a nutshell, it is a ryokan run by foreigners. The manager must be Japanese, but I saw only foreigners, so I thought it would be fair to say that the management is a foreigner. I felt that the cleaning of the room and bath, the replenishment of room equipment, etc. did not reach the level expected by Japanese people. The location is not Gora Station, which can be said to be a relay point, but the nearest station is 2 stations from there, but it is about 5-10 minutes on foot from the station. Close enough to walk. However, there is a really steep slope in front of the ryokan, and there are many stairs inside the ryokan, so those with weak legs should avoid it. Meals are not luxurious. I stayed at a sale price, so I'm not dissatisfied with the meal for the price. It was nice to be able to choose between 8am or 8:30am for breakfast. Both morning and evening were private rooms on the second floor of the main building. The sunken kotatsu type, the air conditioner is built into the wall instead of the ceiling, and the height is at the waist level, so the cold air hits the waist of the person sitting on the back side. If you are sensitive to cold or are pregnant, it is better to bring a scroll to keep your waist warm. I used the bath in the main building both on the night of my arrival and in the morning of my departure (I thought that people would prefer to use the bath in the annex Sakura-tei, and once I left the building and crossed the road, I used the bath in the main building.) because it is troublesome). I never met anyone. After all, are there many people who use the annex? I had read bad comments about the bathtub, so I just took a shower and didn't get in the bathtub. Surely the hot water was not overflowing from the bathtub. There are two types of towels, a yukata, a toothbrush, a razor, and a comb in the room. I was told that if I wanted more, there would be a charge. This is the first time I've ever stayed at a place like this, is this the current era? There is a washbasin, hair dryer, hand wash, mini-refrigerator, teacup, and cup in the room. The coffee and tea packs were forgotten to be refilled, so I asked for them to be refilled. Water from the vending machine is 230 yen, and a 350ml can of beer is 350 yen.
