Noisy AC
This is an old hotel, the AC is very noise and control by them, if shutting off AC, they will come knocking at your door at 4am.

Hotel ligt vrij centraal gelegen. Het ontbijt was vrij simpel, maar goed. Heel vriendelijk personeel. Eerste nacht super geslapen, waarschijnlijk door te weinig slaap op de heenvlucht. T****e nacht was helaas stuk minder. Spijtig geen balkon en zwembad.

THIS hotel is a lovely little gem! Tucked in on a busy side street of Hanoi, The Dolce Vita is a little hotel with a big heart. Listed as a traditional three star- the hotel staff strives to provide a five star personal experience. The hotel is well located, clean, close to walkable attractions, and comfortably appointed. With that said, what makes it stand apart is the staff, most notably Anthony the hotel manager. From his pleasant greeting, to solid recommendations for restaurants (there is a Michelin Star Street Food restaurant right around the corner that he recommended!) to helping us set up a tour, arranging a Cyclo Ride through Hanoi, delicious breakfast, it was one of my favorite hotels, from the many that we stayed with on our tour. The rooms could use some updating but nothing that detracts from the loveliness of the hotel overall. When I return to Hanoi, I will definitely stay here again, and look forward to seeing Anthony!

The bedrooms could do with a refurbishment. The bed linen and valance felt dirty as did the bathroom . We were on a tour with a group and we were glad we only had to stay here one night. It’s a shame because the hotel is in a great location. The staff were kind.

Never changed the sheets from who ever stayed in my room before me. Explained to my tour guide that i found 1 brown sock in bedsheets and that i could smell stale cigarette smoke & body odour off the bedsheets as well as finding long black hair in the bed. He went to reception and told them on my behalf. They remade the bed but unable to change bedsheets as no member of house keeping was on site at the time. All other amenities were fine.

Het personeel was zeker vriendelijk maar douchen met ijskoud water gaat mij toch wat te ver… Keuze voor het ontbijt was niet erg uitgebreid. De ligging was verder prima. Een goede uitgangspositie om op de slenter te gaan in de buurt. Alles was ook een beetje gedateerd..

I stayed at this hotel as part of a group tour so didn't have a choice to stay. Before arriving the reviews put me off a little and it lived up to those reviews. Firstly, upon checking in at the hotel I lay down on the bed to have a rest and then someone walked in to my room, quickly apologised and walked out. It made me feel uneasy about the stay. The hotel bed also didn't include a doona and instead only the cover which was a light sheet. I found this strange that there was no blanket filler. Finally, the shower head was the worst. There was water coming out of only 1/3rd of the holes and spraying in random directions piercing my skin. It felt like needles. I must say, I did ask others in my group whether their shower head was like this and they reported not however I saw other reviews which also stated this. Also the walls were quite dirty with feet marks - attached in photos. I would not likely stay at this hotel again but for one night as part of the tour, it's doable.

Hotel in a very convenient location for shopping, numerous clothing stores and restaurants nearby, it is located in the heart of the Old Town and close to the lake, you can go around everything on foot! Varied breakfast for all tastes. The water puppet theater is not far away, you can go on foot

Nice cozy hotel in the old town, surrounded by many restaurants. Friendly staff and money exchange facility. Breakfast buffet is not large, but sufficient. Various types of rooms. No walk-in shower, but showering in the bath! Kettle and toiletries provided.
