The evening buffet had a wide variety of food, and beer and wine were all-you-can-drink. Pancakes ordered in the morning were also included. In the lounge, water, tea, and soft drinks were all-you-can-drink, and ice cream and momiji manju were even available for free, so we used them many times when we came back drenched in sweat in the middle of summer. The whole family was very satisfied, and it's a place we'd like to stay again and recommend to our friends.

Second stay. It was still great. I was very satisfied with everything from the room to the food to the service! All-you-can-drink at the buffet is sure to satisfy those who like alcohol! It was my daughter's birthday trip, so she was very happy with the dessert plates and presents prepared. It was my first time taking my family here, but they liked it so much that we decided to stay there every year! It's close to the ferry terminal and they happily store my luggage, which is really helpful.

We only booked for breakfast, but the breakfast was also satisfactory! It was clean and the service was satisfactory. The children were very happy with the ice bar after the bath, the free ice cream in the lobby, the drinks and momiji manju. It was also their first experience with a tatami bath. It was a hotel I would like to stay at again if I have the opportunity.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I felt that this accomodation over delivered. It's not as boutique as some and is, due to it's location, in less of a "character " area however it's also opposite there Ferry which makes it easy to deposit your bags. We arrived before checkin time and there was definitely no early checking however we were welcomed and 'pre checked" so that we could go out and enjoy the town. We stayed 2 nights and we could have easily stayed three. If you are an active tourist there is plenty to do on this wee island. Our room had great air con; comfortable futon style beds and a good massage chair. When you "really" check in there are pyjamas and slippers to choose from and you are welcome to wear these within the facility. I enjoyed doing this..no everyone does. The hotel has a lovely public bath. Evening meals are buffet - but certainly not low quality. We prefer to eat later and not was sometimes a challenge to be able to secure a later reservation. On our second night we were serviced a "special" meal given that we had reserved for 2 nights. We appreciated this attention to detail. There is a nice lounge for guests with tea and coffee and a bar /small kitchen for snacks and drinks. As non Japanese we felt that there was enough information what allowed us to understand how to behave a(so as not to offend) and to enjoy ourselves and the facility. This isn't a full "Ryokan" experience but it was a good "in between" opportunity for us. I certainly would recommend this as an option for anyone wanting a night or more in Miyajima.

An amazing location and beautiful hotel. I booked this hotel due to their unique room style ( Loft ). The bed is upstairs ( with a tv & ac ) very comfortable bed. The downstairs is big with sink, couch, table ( Bose speaker ) a big tv & ac, and a right size of bathroom. Perfect for a family or couple. Outstanding service from the staffs of front desk and breakfast restaurant. They even allowed me to use bath after I checked out, after returned from a hike at Mt. Misen ( which I didn’t use it) they’re tried to accommodate your needs if it’s possible. Highly recommended to stay this hotel for an overnight.

After battling crowds in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima, Miyajima and the Hotel Miyajima Villa were a welcome respite. Indeed, we so enjoyed our stay that we added an additional night. Before and after the arrival and departure of day trippers from Hiroshima, we felt as though we had the island and its wild deer all to ourselves. The hotel is immaculate, ideally located (a few steps from the ferry and a short walk to the island's attractions) and staffed by incredibly helpful, friendly and energetic staff. A hearty breakfast got each day off to a solid start while our afternoon soaks in the top floor onsen were perfect for getting rid of kinks from a day of sightseeing.

The service was outstanding. The detail to us was exceptional. The rooms were Great and extremely cosy. It was in December and it was cold and rained while we were there but the villa was a welcome back from our long walks around Miyajima. The staff were extremely polite and respectful. As for the food, it was buffet with oysters…. Say no more…… as much as you can eat, with the utmost respect. Free wine. I cannot get over the fried oysters and French bread, I could eat them for days. The Bakery was exceptional and the marbled bread was delightful. The only negative is, I would hate for be here in Summer as it would be jammed packed.

This is my second stay at the Miyajima Villa and this time we had my 2 year old son with us. We stayed in a triple bed room with a view of the harbour which my son loved, he liked watching the boats and cars from the windows. The beds were mattresses on a single raised platform which was great as it was the only hotel we stayed in where we didn't have to worry about our son rolling off the bed on to the floor in the night. The room was clean and had a relaxed feel. At dinner we were provided with a baby chair and cutlery for our son which was good and the staff were very friendly, helpful and patient with him. The evening buffet was the same both nights but on our second night we were also served a fantastic pasta as well as a beef dish for main. Both were delicious but the beef was fantastic. The hotel is opposite the ferry terminal and also has easy access to the main part of miyajima and tori gate.

Very close to the port and ferry. Nice service and very authentic comfort room. Free onsen that was very nice and refreshing! The dinner/breakfast is in the basement, and its ok- it could be better but its not bad. Overall, very nice hotel and good experience!

Excellent hotel near the ferry arrival point, sea view. The hall is beautiful and has rooms with every comfort. The room was beautiful, clean and had a bathroom in perfect condition. We had half board and so in the evening we enjoyed a truly excellent buffet with a rich choice of food. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are also free. Breakfast is also decent

As I saw on the hotel's website, dinner and breakfast were really delicious. I enjoyed both hot and cold dishes at dinner, especially the oysters. The alcohol was also delicious, with a focus on local items. Everything at breakfast was delicious, but the French toast was especially good. I also enjoyed the rice with rice topped with rice. As for service, the young staff were quick and efficient, which was great.

We had a great time in this hotel, ideally located just outside the Miyajima ferry. The staff is friendly, young, always available. The rooms are very well appointed. The main meals are included (breakfast and dinner) and the cuisine is truly excellent and varied. In addition, it is the only hotel in all the ones we stayed in Japan that allows tattooed travelers to benefit from onsen, a much appreciated open-mindedness. We stayed there for 3 nights because, from there, it is easy to get to Hiroshima, which allows the rest of the time to appreciate this corner of extraordinary nature that is the sacred island of Miyajima, which turns out to be very calm in the evening as soon as the daytime tourists have left.

Hotel very well located opposite the ferry. The rooms are pleasant but the extra charge for the sea view is not necessary. The Onsen is really good and the restaurant, of good quality, offers good value for money, especially when you know that all drinks are included!!!! Very generous breakfast. Very attentive staff.
