Hotels Near Acqua Plus in Hersonissos

We were a family of 4, staying for 11 nights, don’t think we managed to see half of the hotel in this time, it’s huge. Although so big it is kept very clean and tidy. We stayed in a superior family room and this was cleaned everyday, also clean towels and bedding provided daily as well bottles of water left each time. Our children are 12 and 15, they had a separate twin bedroom, whilst we had a double bedroom which led onto a good sized balcony, with amazing views of the sunrise. We were room 451 and positioned perfectly for all facilities around the hotel. Only thing I would improve would be the amount of storage, a lot of our clothes had to be left piled up in the wardrobe as not enough space / hangers for all clothes to be hung up. The pool areas were all lovely, we didn’t use the children’s splash pool as our children were older but looked as though there were plenty of beds around that area as well as a snack bar and shop. We mainly used the Olympic swimming pool, always managed to get sun beds, although we did get up early so would probably struggle after 10am. The daily activities all happen around this pool, as well the entertainment songs, you will soon learn “we are the best” and I have to say the entertainment team live up to that song, they work continuously all day and night and are very friendly, although not all evening entertainment was to our taste you cannot fault their enthusiasm and effort. We also used the quieter pool at the top of the hotel, you did have to be up extremely early to get beds there though, they are very comfy sun loungers and lots of parasols to get some much needed shade at some points through the day. There are bars and shops around all pools which is great and the Artemis snack bar has something to offer all day long: pizzas, burgers, chicken nuggets, fish, chips, gyros, salads, rolls, wraps, cake, ice cream, the list goes on, also self service hot and cold drinks all day. There are two main restaurants for lunch and dinner, both can be used for lunch and have different themes. At dinner you will only be able to use one restaurant, depending on your wristband colour (blue or black) Food is the same in both restaurants for dinner but having the different allocations means they don’t get too busy. Food was overall very good, I preferred lunchtimes as the evening can get a bit repetitive but this is very often the case with all inclusive. There are so many different stations and options for different foods so you definitely won’t go hungry. We also booked the Asian night and Greek restaurant and both were good. The Greek restaurant is in a lovely setting with a little church in the grounds. We had an amazing holiday, really can’t fault the hotel at all, as mentioned, it is huge so you will get lots of steps in and quite a walk back from the beach up the hills but I believe there is a shuttle bus at certain times if required, we were quite happy with the walk and visiting the donkeys on the way. We did eat out

We stayed at Palmera beach for 10 days to celebrate my 50th birthday! From the moment we checked in to the day we left,we were treated with respect and kindness. Helen, always had a ready smile. She went out of her way to put in some balloons, a lovely message in a card and a lovely bottle of wine on my birthday! Everyone at reception always made sure we had everything we needed and always had a smile for us. Chef Ali was awesome,he made me a special birthday dinner and it was so yuuumy!. The two gentlemen waiting on us in the restaurant were so lovely- special mention goes to Vasyli(hope spelling is correct)! He took great care of us everytime we were in the restaurant. There was a wide variety of dishes everyday and even my fussy eater found more than one thing to eat for the duration of our stay. I especially loved the freshly prepared salads and dips. Everyone we met at Palmera was friendly and helpful. Special mention also go to the two gentleman who carried our heavy luggage up the stairs for us as we were staying in the suites with no elevator. My daughter also treated me to a 3 hour spa experience on my birthday and I have to say,it was one of the best I've had so far! The masseuse (mortified I lost the card with his name) was very respectful and friendly during the treatment. He made sure I was comfortable throughout. Our rooms were cleaned everyday,towels replaced and drinking water bottles replenished. We loved the private jacuzzis in the rooms as we could use them as and when we fancied it. There were less crowds so time on the beach and out in tiwn was lovely. The weather was perfect and the sea water was quite warm and enjoyable for a swim. It's a cat lover's paradise,there were cute kittens and cats everywhere! My daughter ”adopted” and named a a few of them during our stay. Her favourite was a kitten she named Chaos,there was Boots and cool Dude! Couple of things to grumble about was the leaking plant pot outside our room,there was always a streak of water across our doorway. The big white and grey laundry bags left on the landing some days were a turnoff. Having said that, we would absolutely go back again!

It was so good. I really enjoyed my treatment with the best specialist Marianna. The massage therapist was incredibly professional and attentive. They took the time to understand my needs and preferences, ensuring that the pressure was just right. The combination of the facial massage with the full-body treatment was perfect. I could feel the stress melting away from my muscles, and my skin felt rejuvenated and glowing after the facial.

We went from 28 May to 4 June. We arrived just before midnight and so were advised to go straight for something to eat and then we were shown to our rooms. Good points - the resort is spotless, I think I saw two items of litter the whole holiday. The food at the buffet was the best of any all inclusive hotel I have been to. Being able to eat at the a la carte restaurants was also a treat. We managed to eat at them all and our favourites were Mademi and Pithos. You can only book one day in advance so top tip is to download the app and at 7.30am bookings for the restaurants open for the following day. This way we got to try all of the restaurants and the food at them all was very impressive and beautifully presented. We weren’t a fan of the main pool which was very busy, Sun loungers were saved early on. But if you explore you will find a pool that suits you. We loved the Pithos Pool, there were always sun loungers available and at times we had the pool to ourselves. Other pools also had loungers available throughout the day. We also weren’t a fan of the beach which is more pebbles than sand and packed with sun loungers but we loved the spot by the sea next to the Medemi restaurant. We always managed to grab a sun lounger and the view of the sea was much prettier here. Great spot for snorkelling. The gyros bar by the main pool is worth a visit for chicken or pork in a pitta wrap with salad and fries. There is also a smoothie/juice bar and ice cream bar next door. The outdoor cinema was also great although we got bitten a lot by mosquitoes so wear protection. The tv in the room had Netflix and YouTube which was great for the day of bad weather we had during our stay. We did struggle to find shelter during a thunderstorm because the bar area was busy but in the original reception area opposite the Estia restaurant we discovered another indoor bar area with lots of seating. The entertainment is less visible than other resorts but I suspect it is just because the resort is so big. They are based by the pool near the water slides. We watched the circus show one evening and the Disney show, both were very good. The staff are all very friendly and clearly take pride in the resort. On one evening my daughter left her bag in a restaurant and as soon as we realised we went to reception and were very impressed that it had already been handed in. We also left a tv fire stick in our room. My husband emailed the hotel to ask for it to just be removed and destroyed. The hotel replied within a few hours to say they had retrieved the device and had posted it back to us. Assuming it arrives back we are very impressed by this level of service. Few ******s if we are being picky… We booked sea view rooms but were on the side of the hotel so had to stand at the edge of the balcony and turn our heads to see a little bit of sea, which was a little disappointing. We were only ever offered one drink with the buffet meals and even with the a la carte book

The hotel facilities are very good and new, the swimming is a highlight, and the sunset is especially beautiful. The recliners by the pool need to take a seat in the morning, the towels provided by the recliners and the seat covers are clean and comfortable. The restaurant is romantic and the food is delicious. Hotel service staff try their best to provide services, but seems to be insufficient skills, questions can not be answered in time, need patience, etc. Overall very recommended hotel

The most beautiful stay! My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights for a babymoon and it was wonderful. On arrival, the staff had upgraded us to a garden room which was huge with a large balcony, side sea view and incredibly comfortable bed. There was a bottle of Prosecco and cold plate awaiting us in the room. The shower is very powerful and the bath is huge! The whole hotel is stunning and immaculately clean. The staff work so hard to care for the hotel and grounds and it really shows. The restaurants are fabulous. I'm veggie and when asked to review my stay after a couple of days, I commented that the only thing I would change was the veggie options. The following two nights at dinner, we were treated like royalty with specially made or recommended dishes. It was so special and I felt very lucky and cared for at the hotel. Despite the beauty and grandeur, the hotel has a lovely, relaxed feel. Every member of staff we met was friendly, kind and helpful. It is such a nice atmosphere at Amirandes. Nothing is too much trouble. The staff even brought me up some milk when I had terrible heartburn! Just gorgeous people all round. The hotel has a short pathway to a private, sandy beach with plenty of loungers, towels are all included and laid out, no queueing! The sea is calm and clear, perfect for swimming and snorkelling and you can order food and drinks to your lounger if you like too. This was truly a 5 star experience and we will be booking again with our new arrival for out first family holiday without a doubt! Huge thanks to all the staff for making our time so special. We felt immediately relaxed on arrival and were treated like absolute royalty, thank you 😊

This hotel is amazing. We spent our summer here with our kids. This hotel has everything we needed and the amazing time and service we had was above all our expectations. First, all the staff is very kind and helpful for any kind of requests we had. We understood this from our first discussion with Kostas, the reservation manager who is so kind and making sure every customer would be satisfied during their entire stay. Manos, the food and beverage manager is amazing as well, so is its entire team. The Italian restaurant Oliva is delicious and offers a large menu from delicious pastas, fresh caprese, seafood, meat, incredible cooked vegetables,… to make happy everyone. The breakfast is also great, everything we wanted was there! From the on-demand omelettes to the freshly baked crepes and pastries, fruits assortments, cooked meals, … everything. The bar restaurant is a so beautiful and quiet spot and offers the most beautiful view on the beach. There we could order all kind of snacks and play snooker. This spot is very representative of the hotel : a 5 stars hotel but no showing off :) Exactly what we love ! Best kids club. We have been in several kids club before and as parents, of course this is so important: happy kids, happy parents. Exactly as the entire staff of the hotel, the kids club staff is AMAZING, so good heart and giving their best to make the little guest happy. Our kids spent some time there almost every afternoon and had the best time ! They speak different languages but most of all, they speak the kids’ one perfectly. Very professional, very good people. Thanks Natalia and Veronica for the love you gave to our kids that love you so much. The animation team is great as well !! When we were in the mood of activities we could join the games and pool animations as well as the mini disco in the evening that the kids and we loved! The team gives all to make happy the clients and has so much energy !! The housekeeping is very good and very kind too. The nice beach offers water sports and we had the chance to make some jet sky and banana boat :) There is also a games corner and an area to play chests and many more kind of games. Fitness center, spa, several pools, some with animation, some for quiet times, one kid pool with little slides, tennis courts (and an amazing tennis teacher) We loved our time there and will be back as soon as possible

The great place to satay and relax, good facillities,
