Hersonissos Hotels with Swimming Pools

A stunning and family-friendly hotel with all you could ask for on the grounds. From a beautiful gym, swimming pools galore to an incredible water park on site for not just the little ones but the big kids too… it has it all! The food courts had so much variety too with different settings for different nights. The entertainment kicked in just as I was leaving and the bar side singing was just beautiful, a great touch to the space ito give it that adult-exclusivity feel away from the other areas of the hotel which catered for the whole family.

We have just come back after a week in a Family Suite Pool View room. The room was excellent. Only thing that would make it better is having a coffee pod machine like the direct pool access rooms have. I just bought some nice instant coffee and milk for the room though. The food in the buffet was good and varied. The Staff at the buffet were amazing, especially the lady at the door. Actually the Staff through the whole resort were amazing and couldn’t have done more for us. The boys loved the water park. My youngest lived off the burgers in there. Plus the Palms sweet bar between the 2 main pools at Palace was brilliant. Could help yourself to crepes and waffles plus the soft serve ice cream was brilliant. We booked a meal at 4 of the 5 sit down restaurants (1 meal in each 5 included and can be booked through app when you arrive or phone reception). These were all amazing. It was my son’s birthday when we were there but I hadn’t told them. Came back to a birthday cake in his room and the table at the restaurant had a happy birthday sign plus a balloon for him. He was delighted. Pools were bit cold but was fine once in them. All said I would recommend Stella Palace to anyone wanting a family or couples holiday. We are looking to go back in 2026.

We had a gorgeous stay! Staff were so welcoming and helpful. Food was incredible and we had the most amazing massage in the spa. The facilities are spotless and our room was beautiful. They really thought of all the little touches and we came away with souvenirs to remember the hotel. Only a couple of things we would mention. The cost of dinner was a little excessive. We paid an ridiculous amount for a fillet of salmon and what mentioned on the menu to come with potatoes. What came out (no exaggeration) was half of a baby salad potato cut in half (so two quarters of a baby potato). I felt a little hungry in the evening but it did taste amazing though so compliments to the chef! The only other thing we would suggest is that the pools are heated warmer at this time of year without the huge charges that you had to pay if you wanted the temperature increased by a couple of degrees. We had paid for a room with a private pool and had come to the resort specifically for the pool rooms but it was so cold we couldn't use it. Hardly anyone was using the main pools as well which is such a shame! I only braved it once in the main pool and didn't dare go back in again, and I am used to swimming in the sea in the UK! The air temps during our stay was between 22-24C and we found the sea warmer than the pools. It could be an idea to heat one of the main pools to a usable temperature and then leave the others unheated. At least one would then be usable and no doubt more guests would be swimming. I understand that the pool temperature would be ideal for mid summer but definitely not for October! Otherwise we had a wonderful stay and would definitely return... In the summer though when we can use the pools.

we rested in October as a family with three children (1 year old, 3 years old and 11 years old). We liked the hotel (in addition, the room was given a cot, a footstool and a children's toilet seat). We had a beautiful room with a view of the sea and we met magical dawns. The children really liked the children's room, and the older daughter liked the various evening programs. The food was tasty and varied. The hotel had everything you needed (beach, shop) and everything was relatively close. The staff was very polite and willing to help. Of the small minuses - there were not always ramps to drive a wheelchair (for example, it was particularly inconvenient in the main restaurant and near the beach). There were no designated smoking areas on the hotel premises.

Five star golf hotel on a hill with sea view. Very quiet. Hotel offers a bus several times to Herionissos Village where you can go to the beach, shopping, supermarket and many restaurant and bars. Breakfast and dinner buffet has a wide range of food. Hotel offers a tennis and volleyball court, mini golf, in and outdoor pool as well as a kids playground and spa. Our junior suite has bed, living and bathroom as well as a well equipped kitchen. There was a bottle of white wine as welcome gift in the room

Hotel is located in an excellent position for the 2 villages, just inside Koutouloufari and straight into Piskopiano where there are plenty places to eat of good quality including shops for provisions, not all were open as just at start of season. Hotel offers free mini bus from top of stairs into Hersonissos resort, 3 times a day. Arrival – booked with Jet 2, dropped off at top of stairs, next to restaurant (this is where you will eat your evening meal if booked half board), leave luggage here, hotel will take it to your room, by van. One of 2 ways down to reception, yes very steep, some rooms located either side of steps, limited privacy, can be noisy, overlooked by restaurant, late/dearly arrivals/departures, general footfall. Parking opposite hotel, or on road, or at bottom of hotel, if parking inside hotel, some cars stalled when coming up bank, be aware if using this to leave hotel if on foot, there are some steps. Pay up front for safety deposit located in room 2 Euros a day, and room tax 7 Euros per room a day ( personally do not think the hotel warrants 4 star rating, also effects tax price). Others have already commented on rating being too high. Staff are pleasant. Room Cleaned every day very basic clean, bedding towels changed every second day. Rooms spread out in blocks, if you get one near the top of road, you don’t have to deal with steep decline unless using bar/reception (which has library to leave/take books, rep’s board and information books, Jet2 rep did visit), pool, or looking at small church next to pool. Rooms are noisy, can hear neighbours, be aware of this, already mentioned. Food Breakfast all buffet, not best quality food, plenty of choice, including fresh fruit, not fresh juice, served next to bar. Evening meal choose from Al-la carte menu same as offered to passing customers, service slow even when restaurant is empty, you get starter, main course and dessert, not a large amount of choice, fine for 7 days, but any longer could be a bit repetitive, it is good value if upgrading to half board from self catering. Did not buy drink at bar, restaurant prices not too bad. While it was term time for schools, there were still more school age children of different nationalities at hotel, another thing to be mindful of if trying to get away when the children are supposed to be back at school. Issues Noise from other guests, included damage to rooms, hotel and private property in and around hotel. Hotel said was one off, but happened again on second week, and they were not British. While there were apologies from staff, they acknowledged that there were several complaints, already made, what we would call ant-social behaviour in the UK. Jumping in pool, in middle of night leaving a mess, damage, drunken behaviour, noise, loud music, throwing rubbish around, gathering around one room to party, kicking footballs around, encroaching on other people’s balconies, but they were allowed to stay. The second incident

I had been to the same hotel two or three times last year, it was very good and nice compared to the other hotels I went to on the peninsula. This year I thought the manager changed and I asked do you have a new manager they said no the same one so listen. What I am going to say does not benefit us, the customers, but it is the truth and it must be said that it does not benefit us because the price of the hotel is going up and that is why I say that it does not benefit us the manager this year must have had a terrible inspiration because I saw a completely different hotel nothing to do with all the others I had seen and believe me I have been going 15 years in a row to the peninsula over 6 to 7 times a year vacationing in too many of them I have vacationed what I saw this year I have never seen before in any hotel. That is, from the staff more kind than the reception, incredible from the restaurants, the quality of the meals was on another level. In general, everything was wonderful, I would like to mention one by one the people I interacted with, but it is very difficult epigrammatically, so the meter that is in the Konstantinos restaurant she conducts the orchestra in the restaurant and believe me the manager very well the lady Eva at the reception has served us this is the third time she has served us herself in anything we have asked her the last time she brought us a charger from her house to charge the mobile us down in the pool next to where Artemis is with the skewers, all the guys are very helpful, to whom should I start, everyone is amazing, finally, I want to say a big thank you and well done to the hotel management and especially to the manager, he has managed to do incredibly well...

Husband and I booked our Honeymoon here for our Crete but after spending a few days in Athens. It was great we arrived early and were allowed to leave our luggage with them until our room was ready. We had issues with pre-checkin and the staff member tried her hardest to get to the bottom of it. I was extremely tired by check in and my brain was a complete mess (I hadn't slept much on the ferry) and the staff member was very accommodating to my stupidity at the time. Once I had a nap a really lovely shower chilled out in our room which was lovely spacious and clean we went down to get dinner. Which was filling and great especially the sweet treats and fresh fruits. We decided to book some excursions through the hotel and after a little bit of waiting not the hotels fault we met the happiest most passionate person on Crete and definitely a credit to the hotel Dimitra! gave us the best recommendations possible and helped out sort out a few things we didn't know we wanted. Every time we saw her she was happy and a delight nothing was too much. We had reported the shower was broken upon arrival and it was fixed immediately. Breakfast was great with fresh orange juice, coffee, pastries, cooked breakfast and lots more to choose from. I would highly recommend a stay here and if you need help with anything seek out Dimitra. The hotel itself is in great location close to the beach, shops and restaurants plenty of parking and quiet , great services WiFi and room service also trying their best to help the environment.
