Dormy Inn Himeji Natural Hot Spring Reviews

Wow, this was our first time staying at a Dormy and we loved it. We've stayed at other business hotels, and Dormy has been the best this far. The roof top onsen was great, very clean with lots of personal care products to use. They offer free ice cream (popsicles after onsen 🤤) and ramen in the evening, and free yakult in the morning. The room size is economical, bit larger than other business hotels we stayed in. Parking is not free, it's 1300 a night (if there's space). If it matters, the pajamas they provide are not visually appealing, though they are comfortable (a shirt and pants, both using synthetic sweat wicking (think athletic wear) fabrics).

Great location close to the train, copious and tasty breakfast and a lovely onsen. Room was normal (ie., small) but functional and quiet.

I have been to hotels of the same brand in Izumo too. There is Onsen and the location is very near to Himeji JR station. Just 30 minutes walking distance to Himeji Castle. Breakfast is really great and tasty! I will come and stay again!

Connecting rooms are very convenient, and the hotel provides free ramen, ice cream and lactic acid drinks. Clean environment and ok location!

The old hot spring hotel in the city center is a bit aging. The plastic bags for hot spring towels in the previous rooms are gone. Cost is still an issue. Now it is gradually surpassed by emerging hotel chains, and the breakfast quality is okay!

The facilities in the hotel room are the oldest among the Dormy Inns I have ever stayed in. The bed is also very small and can barely fit two people. The check-in procedure is more complicated than other stores, there is no Chinese service, and English communication is not fluent, which is not friendly to foreign tourists who do not understand Japanese. In addition, our reservation price included breakfast, but the front desk still asked us if we wanted to buy breakfast, and we ended up not having breakfast, which was a pity. The location is not very good. It is in the opposite direction from Himeji Castle at the JR station, so you have to walk a lot to go to Himeji Castle by public transportation.

JR Himeji Station, walk south for a while and you'll be there. There is everything near the station, which is very convenient. There is a guy at the front desk of the hotel who can speak Chinese and communication is very convenient. I stayed in a room without bathroom, which was relatively small and unremarkable. The hot spring on the top floor has three pools, one hot and cold in the room, one outdoors, and another sauna (for girls). When I went there, it was almost exclusive. It was very cool. There were free popsicles and so on, but I didn't like it very much. There was also free drinking water and ice machines on certain floors, so there was no need to buy water. It is recommended to buy a breakfast. The Japanese breakfast is delicious. After you are full, go to Himeji Castle! Overall, I am very satisfied. Taking a bath during the trip is very relaxing~ ps: It’s quite a long walk from the hotel to Himeji Castle. To save energy, you can go to the bus stop next to the station.

I arrived early, but I was able to get in. I couldn't help but eat the ramen they serve at night.

It was close to the station and very convenient. I also enjoyed the desserts provided in the room. The hot springs were great and I went in both the evening and the morning. Great value for money.

The sauna and open-air bath are great. There are also izakayas, supermarkets and convenience stores nearby. I'll come again.

I'm glad there was a hot spring ♨️. The late-night noodles were delicious 😋 I was grateful for the complimentary ice cream after the bath and the lactobacillus drink after the morning bath.
