Hotels Near Fan Lau Lighthouse in Hong Kong

The host was very nice and friendly. He gave us a lot of info about the local attractions. The room was extremely clean though, but the water flow was a bit slow due to low water pressure. We don’t think this is an issue though, because it didn’t affect our showers but just think that it’s something we need to mention about. In terms of location, I would consider it as inconvenient, because there’s a 10mins walk to the main road and cars can’t drive through because there’s no road/ paths nearby the house. For drivers x you do need to park your car outside where about 10mins walk away. In terms of cleanliness and quietness, this place is an extremely clean, and the host actually asked us to leave our shoes outside the room. Also, I haven’t found any dust or dirt in this house. In terms of view, we were not arranged to a room with any views, which is kinda disappointed. As far as I know there were other rooms occupied at the same time, and they were on the second floor and third floor. Unfortunately, they are the rooms that have views. In terms of facilities, we actually didn’t manage time to cook or BBQ at this place. Guests can actually use the kitchen and BBQ at the backyard.

Everything was great! The lady that checked us in was super friendly. Super convenient to go to Macau and disneyland. Additionally there is a shuttle service to the airport which makes it even more convenient.

Service is good. Booked 2 rooms with seaview.. but only see mountain.. maybe the sea refers to the swimming pool... And one of the room is not quite what we expected , very rundown and with only one plug head...the other double room was quite ok.. One bad thing about the hotel. NEVER Ever eat the buffet at the hotel restaurant.. worst ever.. Everything don't lol fresh and some dry or overcooked.. worst food I have had .. we tried only 1 round and wasted the food because it's really inedible.. AND... We paid $1200++ for 4pax buffet with a 40% off promo.

Very idea to stay if going to Disneyland and back to airport. Free shuttle bus back and forth Tung Chung and Airport, factory outlet is just at the station. Only downside is food options is limited, may choose to just stay a day or two and have hotel breakfast and night buffets.

The best hotel stay if you have a flight the next day. The staff are kind and welcoming. They are ready to tend to your everyday needs. This hotel has an airport shuttle that can take you to the airport. The hotel is full equipped and very comfortable. I enjoy staying here. Thank you again.

Overall we had a good time. Unfortunately there were no surprises (ie. unexpected fun or magical moments, services), but we did have a decent time. Hotel staffs never greeted us so it was bit unexpected in that front, because they will only respond when we greet them, so we did feel bit isolated. Positives: Pools are open for long time, breakfast buffet quality is so good (but way too pricy, considering kids does not eat much), room is spacious, shuttle bus frequency is very convenient, hotel is really creatively constructed (both external/internally). Areas of developments: Could be better if Staffs could greet guests (even the front desk staffs were unfriendly), Breakfast buffet’s cost performance needs to improve -＞ considering the super high price it should not limit the breakfast time to only one hour as guest loses time to greet character as well, also on top of high price it charges 10% service tax, and character photo costs H$168 per photo when the photo quality was bit blurry…., it would be great if breakfast buffet price could lower (especially for kids who does not eat much) or stretch the 1 hour limit to 90 min. Another area of development could be, the scope of hotel merchandise coupon… -＞ seems like there is unexplainable scope of which product they can allow/disallow $10 off coupon. We wanted to buy two products of which one of them the staff explained we cannot apply the coupon, and the staff’s explanation was “because this is popular”… when I asked how would we even know which is popular and which is not, and the next explanation was “oh it is because Lina Bell is popular”. It was very awkward explanation and scope, but I suppose it was Explorer’s Lodge Hotel style… Overall, we enjoyed HK Disney land so we will definitely come back, but unless above AOD are changed/improved, we will not consider staying with Explorer’s Lodge.

Nice hotel, artistic design and layout. Closer to metro station 5-10mins. The size of the room is enough for my family. They regularly clean the room which is nice. They provided toiletries but sometimes were inconsistent. For 4pax booked, sometimes they provided 2 sets of toothbrush/slippers. Other days they provided 4. No problem though, you can always ask the receptionist but it would be better if consistent. However, one of the reasons I chose this hotel are the amenities posted. Children playground-maybe I overlooked it or haven't read that you need to pay for 200 hkd per hour. So it is not free. Swimming pool- you need to book in order to use and limit it for 1.5hrs only. I am not sure if it comes with a fee, better check it first. No free drinking water provided. Charger outlet/adapter- you need to buy or bring one Using their power source- it takes ages to charge. Tried the breakfast, just okay for 77/pax Overall, a good stay but would prefer another hotel with the same rate next time.

This is the fifth hotel we tried since mid Aug. This is the first hotel out of all we four-star hotels we visited where we could find recycling bins in select floors. Suggest others to bring food items instead of being limited by choices offered by the vending machines. Microwave ovens were not always available in other 3 hotels that we tried. Service staff appeared to do most thorough job when compared to 4 other hotels we tried. Definitely will be on the very top of our list when we visit HK again. This is the first 4-star we feel satisfied at half the cost we had to pay compared to those in the main HK Islands

The hotel is easy to find because you can see the bldg. w/ Panda logo at the far distance. However, the only disadvantage for me is it's a little bit far from the MTR station and when you walk during the hot weather, it's kind of disturbing feeling, maybe it's just ok during winter time. Anyway,check in is smooth, good thing is that you don't need to deposit, just get directly into your room. Also there is a mall, restaurants, coffee shop, bakeshop at the groundfloor and around the building so you dont need to worry where to eat. Room is clean w/ big and small bed, but found something strange when I walk into the restroom to pee in the middle of the night and suddenly heard strange noise which bothers my sleep. Room rate is reasonable and near the Disneyland or if you want to go day tour in Macau by bus.

One of the best hotel in Hong Kong. The view in room is astonishing and perfect where I can see clearly the Victoria harbor daytime and nighttime, especially at night.
