1. The hotel facilities are older. It can be clearly seen that the decorative paper on the wall has become peeled. The floor also has obvious signs of aging (I forgot to take a photo, so you can read other people’s comments). The air conditioner is very old, the cooling effect is not good, and the most important thing is that it is very loud.
2. On the morning after check-in, someone was drilling holes outside the window maybe before 8 o'clock, and they kept drilling until I left. I was severely sleep deprived.
3. Although the windows are very small and only half open, light will still leak from the curtains and the sides of the windows, but this is a common problem and is the same with other economic chains. It is recommended to remember to wear an eye mask when traveling.
4. There are few breakfast items. (Mainly it means there are no two kinds of hot stir-fry dishes.) But it’s just for convenience and the price is not expensive. If you really don’t like it, there are many places to eat nearby.
5. The bathroom space is normal.
I have mainly stayed at Lianhua South Road once before. I thought the facilities were very new and the environment was good. Although the room was small, it was good for a one-night stay on a business trip. That's why I chose Aston this time, but obviously there is a big gap between the two standards. I may not choose it again in the future.

Just get off the platform at the bus stop and you can go downstairs to the hotel. It's lively and has obvious landmarks. It's right next to the Hubei Building and there's a KFC store downstairs. There are many snack streets. I checked in with friends and opened the door: the background is the auspicious light green that I like. The bed is just wide enough for each other to sleep on. The rooms are of suitable size, not crowded, and hygienic. There is just enough room for two luggages, and the dressing area is enough for two people. The environment is comfortable and quiet, with windows for good air circulation. Nice experience for you.

This hotel is nicely located as the garden right outside of yhe hotel is lovely! It’s close to the beach and easy to find as it’s near the art park which is written on many signs around the island. Service was great! Room was clean and modern and bed was very nice to sleep on-perfect firmness!! ❤️ would highly recommend it as a base on the island. :) it’s also right across one of the terminals.

I requested a non-smoking room before checking in. The front desk lady was very enthusiastic and confirmed it for me again and again. The room facilities were warm and clean, allowing me to have a safe night after leaving Xiamen. When I went to the airport the next day, the hotel staff also called a taxi for me. After my first trip to Xiamen in a hurry, I had a good accommodation experience. Thank you very much to them. In addition, the seafood in the restaurant is fresh and reasonably priced. Unfortunately, I can't order too much to taste.

This place is exquisite! The service, the people and the environment was exceptional. Justin and his colleagues made sure we were taken care of, even booking our spa day for us because we don't speak Chinese. Sometimes things are harder to navigate when you don't speak the language but they made sure we were always taken care of. Thank you all for making Xiamen an amazing experience for us. We would stay here again in a heart beat!

Great hotel with excellent service. Hanry made sure the check-in was quick and easy, and we received very comfortable room with the view. The hotel is located further from Xiamen Island but with nice areas to walk around, and it’s cheap to take a taxi.

The hotel is so pretty, I love the garden inside which is so cool, there are black swans，peacocks and ostrich.Thanks to the Guest Service Manager Veronica Lin who is so considerate, she introduced the hotel, the rooms and the restaurants. She showed me what is real hospitality who helped me to call the cab, cancel the reservation and book the shuttle service during my stay , she is really a cool girl! When I was checking out, she sent me a small gift with desserts and tea, that’s really nice!

AAnonymous UserYou can overlook the sea view. The room is very new and well-equipped. It is equipped with a washing machine and laundry beads, which is very convenient. The clothes are dried overnight, so you don't have to worry about the clothes not being dried when you check out the next day. There is a supermarket and McDonald's downstairs, which is very convenient!

He was amazingly polite and I truly appreciated his effort to make our stay as comfortable as can be.
The hotel is amongst the best in the region and I was given a room with sea view.
Highly recommend this hotel to those who love a great view and impeccable service.

If you're planning on taking the local bus, it's not a great spot. If you're planning on taking the taxi, it's a great spot as taxis are very frequent.

Staff at the hotel are attentive and conscientious, however overly zealous about upselling the benefits of the club lounge rooms. Club lounge is small, doesn’t have much to offer by way of snacks. Very limited food options at breakfast. Doesn’t open of offer anything around lunchtime and has limited options for dinner. Ok if you’re a drinker, but range of spirits is small.
Didn’t feel I received value for money for the upgrade. My clients and I ended up eating at the main restaurant for breakfast, which was not included in the club price?
Also, the views from the club floor rooms were not river views- we overlooked the noisy bar street at the building across the road.
Had a problem getting fruit to my room over my 4 day stay, so had to go out and buy Bananas for myself.
Another issues was that despite leaving the room available and arranging with reception for housekeeping to clean the room in time for me to have a video conference call without interruptions, they did not and so, i was interrupted during my call and had to repeatedly explain and deal with housekeeping insisting on coming in!
The last straw for me was when reception neglected to extend my stay as requested the day before and so I had issues with my card and with checking in again, so I simply booked into another, more welcoming hotel.
Overall, the hotel is professional and well managed, but they do seem to have some problems co-ordinating back of house teams.

The room is clean and comfortable. The staffs are very responsive and helpful.
I had a great buffet dinner, the Sicilian chef ( I apologised that I forgot to ask his name) was very friendly too.

MMiaw GWe booked the 4 bedrooms apartment, if you are here for the view you won’t be disappointed. Otherwise the place is like a hostel, whole building is used for room rental, and cafes, spa are on the same building. We were on 53rd floor and there is a cafe a few unit away. It seems that they can run any kind of business as they pleased. Mostly young adults and the place is very very busy, I guess it’s because it’s next to the university.
They make you register for check in on an app but all the gate and lift access system are broken. We came from B1 carpark and we can take the lift right up to the room without any security check, I was worried about security but it seems that there are cameras everywhere.
The apartment was disappointing as it was old and run down. The mahjong table was broken, the sofa are not comfortable, the shower room is mouldy and if you use the rain shower it will flood as the drainage is not efficient. The kitchen was fitted with Miele oven/washer/hood but they don’t seems to allow you to use it as they keep bedsheets and miscellaneous thing in all the drawers and oven. No utensils of any kind. We did make use of the big fridge though.
I do have to say the owner/housekeeper and cleaner are very responsive to all the requests, my aircon was broken and they send someone to fix it at 10pm, but can only be fixed the next day, luckily I have the spare room to sleep in for the 1st night. (Aircon is loud in the small room too, had to wear earplugs)
The view from the apartment is magnificent, period.

GGuest UserMy elderly mom and I visited Xiamen for a 5D4N private trip. Booked Millennium Harbourview Hotel again on the 3rd and 4th day stay due to the superb and convenient location.
When we reached the hotel around 4 pm, we were greeted by a hotel staff wearing a black coat. He helped us to push our luggage bags from the main entrance until our room. We really appreciate his kindness.
From the hotel, turn right and walk along the road until you cross the traffic light and reach the end, turn right again until you reach Heping Wharf to onboard the ship for Lujiang night tour. 20 mins walk. There's 2 sessions available, 7.30 pm & 8 pm. It cost RMB109 perpax. The night tour took around 1 hour to finish.
The sky in Xiamen started to get bright at 5 am. If you can wake up early, this is the best time to go out and walk around the hotel surrounding area. It's cool and windy. It's a good time to take photos as only a few people and cars are on the street. It's very peaceful and safe to walk along the road. We didn't see any cat, dog, or birds on the street.
A 30 mins walk to Haibin Park to see the sea and Gulangyu Island. You may also rent a bicycle that is available at the roadside in front of the hotel.
There's many local food roadside stalls available in front of the hospital beside the hotel.
We requested the hotel staff to arrange a taxi to send us to airport T3 during checkout. The whole process took around 7 mins, from checkout until we board the taxi. We really appreciate the front door staff dressed in red uniform to call for the taxi and helped us to upload our luggage bags in the car. The journey to the airport took around 30 mins and cost us RMB50.
I hope the hotel management can consider changing the room mattress as it's too old. The pillow is too flat. Good for sleep but not for resting. The room is very clean, but the wooden headboard frame was sticky when i lay my head on it. The bathroom rain shower head needs a fix as cold water dripping down when i'm using the handheld showerhead.
