DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Houston Hobby Airport

Houston|0.88km from CHL Classes Houston
It’s an airport hotel, so you expect a shuttle. From the airport, you call the hotel and they send a shuttle (it took a few minutes after I’d called, at 1am). They return to the airport every 15 minutes. Easy. (Definitely easier than a number of other airport hotel shuttles I’ve used.) It’s an airport hotel, so you expect it to be noisy, right? Wrong. I chose a room on the opposite side to the road (use the hotel plan in the app - someone else posted it’s all even room numbers one side and odd the other side, that’s not correct). I didn’t have a view but I heard no noise other than a neighbor’s door slam. No cars, no planes, no nothing. Great sleep. It’s a Hilton, so you know what to expect. It’s not luxury, but you have everything you need - decent bedding, space, coffee maker, the right toiletries. Room was clean and furniture, bathroom etc all seemed fine to me. I had dinner in the bar and breakfast in the breakfast restaurant - all fine, and pretty reasonably priced (especially for an airport hotel). I arrived at 1am to be offered a warm cookie. Loved the idea, sadly I have a nut allergy (thank you for labeling the product clearly as having nuts!) Service was friendly everywhere - the front desk at 1am and other times of day, as well as the bar and restaurant. And the room price was reasonable, especially given it was a last minute booking (for the next night). Did everything via the app - check in, room key, check out, find out breakfast times etc. super easy. Only minor complaint is that the little store next to reception is not very well stocked, and a number of empty spaces indicated they usually stock quite a bit more than was there. That said, if you weren’t too fussy in your chocolate or snack quest, you’d find something. Would stay here again if I needed a hobby airport.

Room is nice and clean. Good lighting for those who prefer a brighter room. Bed is on the soft side. They have waffle, bagel and muffin, eggs, fried rice and sausage for breakfast. There is a coffee machine too.

It was a large and nice hotel. I was excited because there was an indoor swimming pool, but the water quality didn't seem to be very good, so I didn't use it. The exercise facilities are good.

That ’s it. The airport hotels in the United States are all carved out of a mold. Except for the different names, everything is the same. The breakfast is as usual.

Last minute visit to Houston for an family emergency and this place was great for the price. My room was clean and freindly staff. Only bad thing the restaurant/bar won’t open till later this month so you must pick up found when your out. Also you have to leave to drive up gulfway to pick up food because nothing is walking distance really but a bbq restaurant and gas station but too hot for that. Not much to do that’s close to hotel but I would stay again for a quick drop in for an emergency.

We stayed here for an overnight. The reception staff were helpful and friendly when we checked in and when we checked out, offering water bottles to our children, etc. We were very happy with our cozy, clean, comfortable rooms! We stayed there in September 2019, but this questionnaire only goes back as far as March 2020, so I marked that.
