the place is really nice, the food is incredible and the service is good as well. a lot of families with small children on the beach. they really know how to get the best service for you. I tried to extend the stay but the procedures are too tough, I had to buy it through an OTA.

The hotel on the Red Sea has complete facilities, very suitable for families and children, and the service attitude is also very good. The transportation is a bit inconvenient. If you take a taxi online to go to the airport, you will only receive orders and then ask for a ridiculous price. You will have to pay at least three times the price.

It's very good for a pure vacation, all-inclusive, the restaurant tastes good, and the room is quite big. But a day trip to the sea will be relatively far. The Red Sea is a bit cold in winter, but better in summer.

Amazing hotel with a wonderful staff. Animation team was incredible and we had so much fun with Wego at aqua gym ! Food was very good and pool area very clean. We do recommend this hotel for everyone! We were celebrating both of our birthdays and they made it so special ! Romantic dinner at the beach is a must !

Just arrived back from another great stay at this hotel. The staff are amazing in every department reception restaurant pool grounds room attendants bell boys and animation. Great to see sonic back and Kareem has a full team to many names to remember just some that stick in my mind Wiwi Gaza Tito your all amazing I would also like to mention Amro front of house manager who organised a birthday cake a day early as we were leaving a day before the birthday. I love coming back to Sunrise Royal Makadi Bay, the staff is perfect. I liked the most at the Felucca Seafood restaurant, it was a top gastronomic experience, the shrimp soup was excellent and everything. I visited the restaurant several times during my stay. I want to thank the restaurant manager Mr. Mostafa who made me visit the restaurant because he spoke so well about the fish and food in this restaurant that we had to try it, all the time Mr. Mostafa served us and took care of us and not only us but also about other clients of the restaurant. Perfect approach. Thank you and see you next time.

Unfortunately, on this occasion, this hotel is not as good looking at the photographs make it out to be. If you are expecting one of the nice large bedrooms as per the TUI website you may be disappointed. We have just returned from a week at this hotel and I can safely say that having visited Egypt over a dozen times, this is probably the second worst hotel we have ever stayed in (yes, there was one worse!) There were tiles cracked around the pool, the "adults" pool was next to where they played water polo so not really very relaxing and the "entertainment" was definitely directed towards families and children. The bedroom was dark like a cave and the shower definitely was a cave! The whole resort is generally in a poor state of disrepair and desperately needs an injection of cash to bring it up to standard. Then to top it all off, we got caught up in the IT outage issues which delayed our return flight by over 12 hours - not TUI's fault but lack of communication did not shower them in a good light either! Overall, for a week's holiday costing nearly £2,500 in a country we have visited over a dozen times, we felt let down and definitely did not get value for money.

Everything was perfect since we had arrived to the reception till we left the place We felt as we stayed at in our home everyone was friendly and helpful the place was very clean and we didn’t need to going out to get anything we had everything inside ❤️ The best experience ever , we will repeat it again thanks for everyone in this hotel ❤️

The first thing that was said to us when we arrived was “Welcome Home” and at first we didn’t get why! A friend had recommended this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. From the greeting on arrival to leaving to head home, we could not fault this hotel. The hotel is immaculate as well as the grounds and beach. The staff are all friendly and eager to interact and even if their English is limited, communication was never an issue. We had great fun with many of them. The rooms:- we were in block 38. There are no lifts but level access if you are on the ground floor. The rooms were in a typical Egyptian style with white walls and brightly coloured paintwork and were clean and comfortable. Our room had plenty of storage, room safe, air con, tea and coffee making facilities, a fridge with water and soft drinks. Water replenished daily. Nice large shower (with good water pressure) and seating at fat end with handy pull out drying line for drying off swimming costumes. There was also lovely smelling, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner inside the cubicle, as well as hand wash and lotion by the sink. Also there’s a wall mounted hairdryer and lots of towels. Beds were really comfortable. We had a lovely balcony with table and two chairs, overlooking a water fountain and the rooms are set out as such that you don’t hear any of the neighbouring guests. Medhat (hope I spelt his name correctly) looked after our floor and our room needs. We would often have a chat with him and nothing was too much trouble. Food;- I can’t imagine anyone not being able to find something to eat here. The main buffet style restaurant Shahrzad offers a good range of food, all freshly prepared and constantly monitored and replenished. You would see chefs approaching guests to make sure they were happy with what was on offer. As well as the main restaurant, out on the terrace area is an outdoor kitchen which offers kofta and kebabs etc. Waiters are attentive and keep you supplied with drinks and again will check to make sure you are happy with everything. As well as the main restaurant there are other restaurants on site; vegetarian, Mexican, Italian, Asian, Mediterranean, steakhouse and Bedouin (Egyptian). There is also a seafood restaurant but that is at extra cost. Our favourite was the Mediterranean and the Bedouin. You can book the restaurant of your choice up to two days in advance (spending on availability) and this is done via touch screen monitors in the lobby area. The buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner but there is also a pool bar offering drinks, snacks and lunch. Drinks. There are four bars on site. Sun Ray which is situated between the lobby and Shahrzad’s and the legend that is Ahmed and his team will look after you well. You can sit inside the bar or sit and people watch outside. There is also The Hub (opposite Reception) which is quieter and which also has a terrace over looking gardens. the Victoria Pub sports bar and of course th

wonderful beach with the best umbrellas, excellent service, hygiene at a high level and of course friendly staff. The hotel is ideal for families with children. For them, the recommendation is to stay in block 10 near the aqua park. The furniture in the rooms is a little older, but everything is extremely clean. All day entertainment. All recommendations for this wonderful hotel.

This hotel is amazing and the staff are the ones that make it great. From start to finish everything and everyone is catered for. Will continue to come back year after year. The food is good and there is no limit on the ala carte restaurants. I personally don’t drink alcohol so can’t comment on those. Honestly though this hotel (after 6 visits) is definitely my second home and the staff now feel like family ❤️

Can't rate this hotel enough. Staff 5*. Facilities 5*. Food 5*. Cleanliness 5*. Location 5*. This hotel delivers it all, staff are so friendly and welcoming. Food options across the 9 restaurants are outstanding. Rooms are perfect and clean and well stocked daily. Pools are plentiful with enough loungers for everyone and well spaced. Beach is astounding with lovely facilities and amazing sea.
