MacDougall Clansman Hotel

I stayed at MacDougall Clansman in April while on vacation with a group of friends. We had 3 rooms in total and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is excellent, it was a 5 minute walk from the train station, even with my very American suitcase. Iain and I had messaged earlier in the day about my arrival time and my room was ready early when I got there around 1:30pm. Even though we all booked separately, Iain surmised our group was together and managed to put us in rooms near each other which was really nice. The rooms were all clean and neat with tea and coffee with a kettle as well. Breakfast each morning was prepared to order, good variety of standard European breakfast items available plus more traditional Scottish breakfast. We easily walked to restaurants and bars nearby, parking is available on the street or in a nearby parking garage. Highly recommend staying here when you are in Inverness!
The Waverley Guest House

The hotel benefits are 2 minutes walk from the train station. I have two large beds with a bathroom, and each bed sleeps big and small. No problem. There are also some cheap rooms that are common to the restroom. Breakfast is normal, the mainland breakfast is basically cold food, after eating and packing, it seems that only one person at the front desk waiter is on duty, and once I saw her returning from the outside to buy food. The hotel does not have a parking lot and parking is troublesome. In addition, there is a Chinese restaurant in the hotel, which is very good. The picture is a street view outside the hotel, within walking distance to major attractions and shops.

Pros: 1- spacious living area and bedroom. 2 - the team was very responsive and had someone at our door to help with a question. 3- the location is right on the main Drag so your close to everything. Cons: 1 - because your on the Main Street the traffic and club noise is loud. We were there on a Saturday night in July. The room was hot and wanted to keep our windows open but the the clubs below us were extremely loud. 2- they don’t leave any readable instructions for the appliances and just have a binder full of operation manuals from the manufacturer. Not very helpful
Ardconnel Court Apartments

One of the most impressive hotels in the UK for 15 days is a serviced apartment. The location is very good. It is in the center of the small city. It is 500 meters away from the high street. Sitting on the balcony, you can see Inverness Castle close at hand. The castle is beautiful in the evening. Extremely. The apartment does not include breakfast, but the kitchen equipment is fully equipped. We purchased vegetables, fruits, yogurt, egg, steak, lamb chop muffins and so on in the supermarket the day before. Simple processing is a sumptuous dinner and breakfast. Traveling What is needed is this feeling. One thing to add is that the hotel has parking spaces.

Beautiful hotel in a perfect location I was warmly greeted by Maria who made the checking in process very stress free and was happy to answer all of my questions and made me feel welcome. The restaurant is definitely up there with the best hotel restaurant I’ve stayed in very enjoyable experience I will definitely be back.
Black Isle Hostel

It does the job but that's about it. We stayed 2 nights during our Isle of skye trip. The shared room was big enough for 4 people to move around but besides of 2 bunk beds there was absolutely nothing else in the room. A chair or two might have been great as when you are at the bottom bunk you can't sit on it as the top bunk is set to low. The beds were fairly comfortable but noise every time you moved. The bathrooms very supposedly cleaned but def weren't, the sign was just put up. The floors in the shower were dirty, only two hooks, so the chance of your stuff getting wet were pretty high. Also super annoying was the push and stop buttons in the shower, they turn of every 15 sec or so, it's annoying to take a shower. Same for the ”give it a good yank” in the toilets, most of the time the yank wasn't enough and the toilets didn't flush. The kitchen upstairs is small, we only stored something in the fridge but I wouldn't cook there as it's just waaaaay to small. The good thing is the location as it's right around the corner from the bus stop. If you simple need a place to stay overnight, I would say it's alright but still too expensive for what is offered.
