Inverness Centre (Millburn Rd)
7.6 (55 reviews)

Inverness Centre (Millburn Rd) ★★★★

📍 Millburn Rd, Inverness

"The room was comfortable and clean, meeting typical standards of a chain budget hotel. The only drawback was a slightly damp smell in the first-floor room. The hotel restaurant was excellent; the fish and chips were surprisingly delicious, breaking my preconceived notions about British fast food. The hotel has a large parking lot in front, making parking very convenient."

Travelodge Inverness Fairways
8.5 (70 reviews)

Travelodge Inverness Fairways ★★★

📍 Fairways Business Park, Castle Heather, Slackbuie Ave, Inverness

"I love Travelodges; basic, comfortable, clean, dog friendly, no frills but good value. We stayed in three different Travelodges in one week, and this was the best of the three. We were in a nice quiet annexe with lovely dog walking area behind next to the golf course. There's an Asda in easy walking distance and a pub which I would only recommend if you like industrial beer and children. The lady at reception was particularly charming and helpful; we had a minor issue with our basin plug which she quickly remedied, and she gave our dog a Bonio biscuit."

"This is considered one of the most upscale five-star hotels in the Highlands area. The service is excellent. Drinks can be ordered from the bar and taken back to your room for later enjoyment. The surrounding scenery is also quite beautiful. It's only about a ten-minute walk to the city center."

"Oh, such a great place with a great service, lovely host, little bit far from the center, and breakfast not so good. But overall, that’s definitely a good hostel to stay for a few nights."

Columba Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality Hotels in Inverness

Columba Hotel Inverness by Compass Hospitality

"The hotel is quite old, and the room we were assigned only overlooked an inner courtyard. The courtyard was dirty and messy. Also, if you're traveling during peak season, make sure to book restaurants in advance. One evening, my child and I went to the Prime restaurant next to the hotel. It was 14 degrees Celsius that night, and the waiter made us sit outside. I asked twice if we could move inside, and he assured us there were tables available, even using the word "trust." But even after the food was served, we still weren't allowed in. Suddenly, all the empty tables inside were occupied. I was very angry. The waiter later said it was because too many people had reservations. Besides the poor service, this restaurant is ridiculously expensive – £90 (815 RMB) for three people, just one drink and one main course each. It's totally not worth it! I later found out that others have also complained about this "Prime" restaurant on Trip Advisor."

Muthu Newton Hotel (Near Inverness Airport) ★★★★
"The cows and the exterior are the only good things Everything is outdated, there is no fridge in the room. There’re pigeon droppings on the windows of our room. The kettle is very old and cheap and dirty. The service is awful. We checked out at 5a.m. and the day before asked the receptionist to help us with the taxi order (to the airport). She said that she’ll tell the night receptionist about our early check out and the taxi order. However, when we came to the reception for the check-out there was no receptionist at all, there was only number of their phone left (but as we’re tourists, we don’t have a local number, so we weren’t able to call them). We tried to ring the bell for about 10-15 min but no one came so we had to left the keys and a note on the desk Location is far from Inverness. It’s ok when you have a car (however, there isn’t enough of space at the car parking, so people have to put it on grass between trees), but if you don’t have a car, be ready that buses between Inverness and the hotel run infrequently and it takes around £35 to get to the airport by taxi"

Loch Ness Bunk Inn ★★★
"Excellent hostel! Great common self-catering facilities; there were two full kitchens with plenty of tables and seating so multiple parties could be cooking at a time. Staff were very helpful and let me leave my bag before check-in and after check-out to accommodate my bus times. The room (4-bunk female dorm) was very spacious so plenty of room for sorting through my bags. Bunk was large and included a USB plug and power outlet there. Room had large attached shower and toilet rooms."

B&B Hotel Inverness ★★★
"I stayed here for one night on both the outbound and return journeys, using it as a stopover to Portree. The location is excellent, close to the bus station, making it convenient for shopping and sightseeing. The staff were incredibly kind and wonderful! The breakfast area had plenty of tables and counter space, and the menu was extensive and delicious, including fruits, bread, ham, sausages, eggs, cheese, haggis, juice, and coffee. It was a comfortable stay, so if I ever come to Inverness again, I will definitely choose this hotel. I highly recommend B&B Hotel Inverness to anyone considering a stay in Inverness."

The Royal Highland Hotel ★★★
"Not a particularly warm welcome. My room was fairly spacious for a single, with a good double bed which was clean & comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and shower excellent . Loved the heated towel rail.  It needs to be made clear that when eating in the dining room the bill is to be paid before leaving the dining room (and not assumed that it is added to the room number and paid on checking out. … as in other hotels)  my room was at the back of the building , and I was woken up at 4.50 am by the recycling vehicle."
