Hotels Near Mural in Isla Mujeres

I just have to say… This hotel far surpassed my expectations! I found such a good price that I was a little hesitant as to what it would be like. However, all I can say is, I was extremely pleased, and will definitely stay here again! The staff is absolutely wonderful… welcoming, friendly and very accommodating! The rooms are large and have a mini fridge and a coffee pot. In the shower there is a shampoo and body wash dispenser. Another nice perk is the free bottled water they supply daily. They also have a hydration station to refill as often as necessary. The location is perfect! Literally a 2 minute walk from the ferry terminal, a 5 minute walk to Playa Centro and 8-10 minute walk to Playa Norte. Directly next-door is a place to rent golf carts if you choose to do so. Keep in mind there is no where to park a golf cart at the hotel. I have read where some guests have complained about the noise, but that was never a problem for us. Yes, you are on a busy street but with the air running in the room, you honestly cannot hear it. Our room even faced the street and it was never an issue. I cannot wait to return to the island and stay here again!

This was our 6th trip to Isla but our first to Izla Hotel and I would be honored to return. We booked a Superior Ocean View room with a tub on the balcony. We never used the tub. Room was perfect air conditioning worked very well. They supplied shampoo, conditioner, lotion, coffee and started with 2 bottled waters which increased with our stay as with pod style coffee grinds. The bed was super comfortable as were the linens. It was cleaned perfectly every day. Check in was smooth thanks to Daniel who reviewed all the documents in detail and answered all questions. Breakfast buffet was included with our room and was phenomenal every single day. From a table full of baked goods to fresh fruit, salads, deli meats and cheeses, cottage cheese oat milk oatmeal, yogurt, seeds, dried fruits, honey and other sauces, whole fruit for grab and go, hot dishes including pancakes, French toast, bacon, sausage, an additional meat dish and chilaquiles, also an egg station for however you like them. Orange juice and green juice and coffee were endless! Thank- you Josefina and Eduardo you and the crew treated us so well. Chef Lorena was present and greeted the tables from sun up to sun down. Pool chairs and beach chairs were plenty just ask for an umbrella as needed. We ate lunch beach side when at the resort the food is great! We did rent a cabana one day it costs $50 a day and your food and drink goes towards that total so it was included as we had drinks and cocktails throughout the day. Thank- you Claudia and Jimmy for looking after us on the beach and around the pool. Our dinners at Izla Café and Numa was so easy and good and the desserts were very tasty! On occasion we ate off site and sometimes we would go into Izla Café in the evenings for dessert only! Very relaxing quite hotel. We fully enjoyed our stay and will return. Muy cómodo lugar para descansar y a muy buen precio. La habitación es amplia con TV, refrigerador, aire acondicionado. Tiene jacuzzi dentro de cada habitación, lo cual considero muy mal, dado que en la isla hay escasez de agua y un baño en jacuzzi desperdicia cantidades impresionantes de agua. El hotel tiene alberquita, para ir a la playa caminando hay clubs de playa cerca, ya si quieres ir a punta Norte, un taxi te cobra de 100 a 150 pesos. El servicio del hotel es muy bueno, a excepción del señor de la recepción quien siempre te atiende con cara mala. Es recomendable este lugar pues si quieres descansar, esta lejos del bullicio y tráfico del centro de la isla. Relación calidad-precio muy buena.

My experience at Atelier was nothing short of amazing. I visited the resort for my 30th birthday which was also my first solo trip. Every single person I encountered treated me with care and received me with love. I felt so special, literally like a Princess! I would love to come back and visit another time with friends and family. Here are some highlights worth mentioning: - I ate at Alba, Mercado 19, María Dolores, Takeshi, Limon y Sal, Bikini Azul, and La Consentida during my stay and all of them were good! Now for me, some were better than others depending on the type of food you like, but still, every single thing I ate was delicious. No hit or miss, the food was amazing, and at no point did I fall ill from food consumption. - Carmelo was my server at Maria Dolores for my birthday dinner and he and the entire staff treated me like royalty. I was alone at the restaurant for most of my reservation so they were all very attentive to me. The attention to detail in the food and the presentation made this a fine dining experience like no other. Everything was very well thought out and explained beautifully, like a story. Although the food at the restaurant is not included in the price of the resort, it’s very reasonably priced and worth it. - Joshua, Freddy, Adriana, and the pianist at the Azucar Bar & Lounge treated me like family for my entire stay. Every night I would visit them they would be so happy to see me and wanted to celebrate my birthday with me. Joshua is such a talented mixologist, every drink he made was made with love. I attended one of the cocktail classes hosted on Sunday evenings and although I learned some cool drinks, I wish we were able to be more hands-on and actually replicate making the drink instead of just watching him. - On the night of my birthday room service delivered a small plate of cheese and bread along with a champagne bottle, I really enjoyed that surprise! Random things to note that could matter to some people and are worth mentioning: - The walls in the rooms are pretty thin and you can hear everything going on around you, whether in the rooms surrounding yours or outside in the hallway. There’s ambient music playing 24/7 which is nice during the day but I think they should turn it down at night so guests can rest. - The app they suggest using for the resort is a bit glitchy and not fully functional. They encourage you to make dinner reservations using the iPads around the property because you can’t make reservations via the app which I find to be counterintuitive. You’re not able to see the reservations you set up in the app so if you forget what time you booked, you have to find an iPad to double-check. Also, the map of the resort on the app is very hard to use and understand. - I feel like this is a given at any beach resort but if you’re looking to get a cabana by the pool or hut on the beach, I suggest you get there early. There were 29 of us!! Several had upgraded room with butler and he, (Yomelly) couldn’t have been more helpful. Anything we wanted/desired or barely mentioned, he was all over it. My group gave Grand Park an 8/10. The only thing that would have made it a 10 would be more food options. The food provided was good, the rooms and pools very nice…drinks a-plenty, love the coffee & sweets cafe!! As a travel agent, I send a lot of clients to GPR because I’ve stayed twice, I feel it is a 5 ⭐️ resort, walking distance to flea market, easy access to city bus and lots of turtle hatching going on. Felt perfectly safe and will continue to send clients to GPR.

First time staying at this property. I must say I was surprised how close was to different places. First, at front desk employees were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Employees cleaning the rooms as always working hard and always willing to help. Room was clean and did not have any problems. Close to hotel you can walk to Plaza de las Americas and opposite way go to Costco. Past la Plaza there is a view of lagoon where you can run/ walk and get some exercise early in the morning. At lobby you can talk to a lady about any tours. They have tons of places to go. If you want to go into town, you can get a taxi which is more expensive. If you feel adventurous, you can take a local bus which it would cost 10 pesos vs 300 in taxi. Another way is UBER which I took many times. Overall, a great experience being at this hotel. I walked and run around this property so I learned about restaurants and things to see and do, e-mail me for any questions. Otherwise, enjoy your time in beau Cancún.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel, I just had the best time here. I do want to say that I am absolutely not a resort person who goes to an all-inclusive and spends all their time in the resort, doing the resort activities and hanging out by the beach all day. I spent a total of 8 days at this resort and half of those I was out the entire day. The 4 days I did spend at the resort I mostly just hung out on my balcony (which was FANTASTIC) reading. I didn't do any resort activities, I didn't listen to any of the evening entertainment, etc. I did eat at the restaurants, which were all very very good. I did seriously enjoy my balcony, which was one of the ocean view balconies that has 2 loungers instead of a chair and a hammock (I would not have enjoyed the hammock, so this turned out great for me). I also ordered room service multiple times, which sometimes took a little while and once they messed up my order, but the food was very good, and hot, and you could order it even late at night which was nice. Service across the property was great, everyone was extremely friendly, and I needed help a couple of times with random stuff and they bent over backwards to help me out. Couldn't have asked for better service. The location is great, very walkable to restaurants and stuff, and the property is really very nice. Overall I had a great time and I would happily stay here again.

Great place for solo travellers. Or if you will just be coming back to hotel to sleep and shower. Fresh hot breakfast made for you in the morning. Would recommend for sure. Not too expensive given that it’s in cancun tourist area.

The room is clean and tidy. It has been renovated recently and the facilities are newer. The service is also good. You can see the pool and sea from the balcony. The sea breeze is very strong, but the side of the balcony faces the sea, so you can sit on a chair and drink tea and listen to the waves. The restaurant will have performances in the evening, including Thai, Italian, and Spanish food. There is travel consultation in the hotel where you can choose items. We booked XCHicen. The hotel is not far from the Cancun Mayan Museum and you can walk there.
