The hotel is located on the south side of Ivalo District and on the riverside. On the first night we saw the Northern Lights in the open space in front of the hotel! When we checked in, we were given a "feelings" piece of paper with the opening hours of the hotel facilities written on it! Buffet breakfast: good style, but not enough portion! The opening hours are until 9:30 in the morning, which is a bit too early! Because I want to see the Northern Lights at night, I get up a little later! Our room had a beautiful view of the river! There is a long-distance bus station near the hotel, and transportation is convenient. However, there is no bus directly to the airport, so you have to take a taxi!

Nous avons adoré notre séjour à l’hôtel Ivalo en ce début d’année 2025 ! La Finlande : un modèle à suivre dans bien des domaines ! Avec cette belle Laponie tout de blanc vêtue :) Hôtel à taille humaine, chaleureux, calme pour les parties nuit, simple mais bien équipé. Bar avec petite cheminée, plusieurs coins salon, salle de jeux, sauna, piscine, jacuzzi, salle pour enfants. Bonne situation, à 2 pas des commerces et en bordure de la rivière Ivalo ! Restauration familiale : plusieurs entrées et 2 plats au choix avec féculent + légumes. Pas de chichi et moins de gâchis. Activités proposées très diversifiées et proposées par le Club Nord - geniales ! Merci à notre guide Yannick d’avoir agrémenté ces sorties par son savoir et ses connaissances sur ce beau pays. Météo extra avec des températures jusqu’à - 28 degrés ! Et surtout des AURORES BORÉALES !!! Extraordinaires et magnifiques ! Un de nos plus beaux voyages ❄️

J'ai été déçu de la nourriture qui est quand même très légère, il n'y en a pas pour tous les goûts, un manque de propreté dans les chambres. La piscine reste très fraîche mais bon il y a le jacuzzi, qui est payant. Les prix très élevés de Club Nord ne sont pas justifiés... Les excursions incluses sont sympas à faire, ça permet de voir et de connaître la Laponie.

Okay hotel
One night stay while exploring the area. Believe there are refurbished rooms ours was however very dated which was a shame.
