The Westin Ka'Anapali Ocean Resort Villas North

So much to like. The rooms are clean and spacious. The views of the ocean were wonderful even though we were close to the front of the hotel. lots of options for dining on the property and within walking distance. The ocean front walking path was wonderful for morning walks. And the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Take food with you The facility was beautiful, very crowded. The food was crap! The only good food I had was when I went off site. I was looking forward to resting and relaxing instead I was concerned how I was going to feed a growing 17 year old. Everything I bought at the facility was so expensive, the 17 year old had a cough, it cost $40 for a small bottle of cough syrup!

Worth it Great

Love the Villas I love this resort. We stayed in the other side last time and I do feel like it was nicer and newer. Each one is a little different. I was told at check in that we would have housekeeping every day. We did not. I had to call down a few times to get things cleaned. They came and did it. But there was a lack of communication there. The beach is great here. We watched whales and turtles the entire day from our beach.

Parking is a Joke! they charged 30.00 a day without notification prior that there was a cost . In addition, the lot was full of employees parking in the clearly designated guest parking and spaces are 90% marked compact with giant SVU and trucks crammed in that take up more than one space. It feels like a cruise ship on land and not relaxing at all. Too many people shoved in a small space and the rooms were not spacious. You are not in control of the thermostat as the facility has highs and lows set that cannot be overridden. Time share presentation was fine the salesman was nice but these people are out of their ever loving mind if they think over 100K a year for 1-3 weeks worth vacations is a "good investment" not to mention huge yearly maintenance fees. Remember folks,you still have to pay for transportation to get to the destination and then food. We will go back to Maui just not with Marriott. Rent a Vrbo instead! We have done that too and it was a much more relaxing experience

Honestly, this a great hotel. Rooms are nice, staff is friendly, great beach, open all night pools, and a shuttle to Whalers. My one complaint…concierge. They are very nice but double check everything they say. We talked to 3 and each one gave us wrong information. Also lack of dining options but who doesn’t rent a car in Maui? Would definitely return.
