This was the hotel chosen for us to stay at as part of the Rocky Mountaineer Train from Banff to Vancouver. I am aware that many are not happy with this hotel or it seems any hotel the Train uses as part of the trip for Kamaloops. I had read many reviews leading up to our trip, but we were actually pleasantly surprised. It was fine. We were already given a key to hotel room while on the train so check in was as simple as walking in and riding an elevator up to our floor. Room was close to elevator as had been requested due to mobility issue. Not an accessible Room but was roomy and comfortable. Very small bathroom. Not the best water pressure but Clean. I went down to request a bath mat. The young man at desk was super busy on phone and dealing with people but was polite and remained calm regardless of it all. He managed to find a bath chair as well as the mat. There is a restaurant right there in lobby and an area to sit outside. Bottles of water, pop, and a few snacks are available right next to front desk. It is my understanding there is alot of restaurants ect in the area but we did not venture out. We feel that we got a good night's sleep and that the front desk met our needs. I admit I never thought to take pictures of the room ect because nothing really stands out. But it was not in disrepair and we would recommend for a affordable choice of 1 night while in kamaloops.
Many one night travelers flock to our Kamloops hotel en route between Calgary, Vancouver and Edmonton, but theres also plenty to do in our own neighborhood.
Thompson Rivers University (TRU) is in our neck of the woods. We welcome families and visiting professors to our Kamloops hotel, who want a comfortable, spacious and luxurious stay. Were a green hotel, so theres never any worry over whether your stay is impacting Mother Nature (whos right outside the door).
Were also happy to be near the Tournament Capital Center. Golf packages in the area are splendid, and its easy to spend an entire day working on your swing surrounded by gorgeous vistas. The Sahali area is known for unbeatable views, fresh air and no shortage of photo opportunities for nature lovers.
The Tobiano Golf Course is a favorite hot spot that golf enthusiasts simply must check out. BC Wildlife Park is a mecca for families and those looking to really experience the great outdoors of the region. However, if something closer to civilization strikes your fancy, the Xfest is a very popular event that attracts guests from around the country.
Visitors to our spacious Kamloops hotel are often in town for the Royal Inland Hospital or one of the many local government agencies. The Ministry of Transportation, Canada Revenue Agency, Interior Health, and Sherriffs Office all have business to take care of in this neck of the woods. Why not infuse some pleasure into your business travels?
As a 4 Key Green Key Hotel, we are proud of our geothermal heating, environmental policies and recycling programs we have throughout the Hotel that makes this one of the most environmental Hotel in Kamloops to make your stay even better!

Originally booked another hotel. Our order was cancelled due to a mistake by the agent. We were unable to check in after arriving at the hotel. We immediately contacted Ctrip customer service. The customer service was very serious and responsible, and immediately helped me understand the reason. We waited a long time to help us to book this hotel of the same class. The room difference was borne by Ctrip. We completed the check-in at BEST WESTERN PLUS within 5 minutes. Although there are some twists and turns, Ctrip still has a quick response, fast processing and Ctrip is reliable.
Let's talk about this hotel. The facilities are good, two large beds, the room is large, about 30 square meters, and there is a sofa bed, a coffee table, desk, swivel chair, high cabinet, microwave, refrigerator and so on. There are shampoos, conditioners and shower gels. Like other foreign hotels, please bring your own toothbrush, toothbrush and slippers.
On the first floor of the hotel there is a breakfast room, a standard buffet Western breakfast, bread, eggs, quiche, yogurt, bacon, drinks, etc. All guests have meals.
The service staff was polite and friendly.
There are parking lots in front of and behind the hotel, free parking. Turn right out of the hotel, cross the intersection, and opposite is Canada Superstore, which has everything in it and is very convenient. Next to the supermarket is WENDY, burger fries, and it tastes great.
The hotel is very close to TRU, less than 10 minutes walk, it is the first choice for our parents who send their children to school. Will live here again.

This was our first stay at this hotel. We were pleasantly surprised about the age and condition of the hotel. It is reasonably new and has a large airy lobby with multiple sitting areas (which was empty when we were there). We stayed at the tail-end (we hope) of the pandemic for a chance to try out this hotel when it wasn't too busy or too expensive. There are two Holiday Inns in Kamloops, so watch the address. This is the one on the North Shore (across the Thompson River from downtown). There is another that is close to Hwy 1 & Hwy 5 on the way into town from Vancouver. There is a White Spot Restaurant on site where we ate dinner & breakfast. I will review it separately, but the food was excellent, prices were mid-range to a bit expensive (breakfast $15-$20, dinner $15-$30). Breakfast is NOT included with your room cost at this hotel. Both hotel and restaurant followed all COVID protocols in place at the time, even having sanitized pens available for check-in. The hotel and room were very clean. We were comfortable & and slept well. The only glitch was that on check-in, we were told that the accessible room we had reserved wasn't available. They had reassigned us to a regular room, thinking that we didn't really need the accessible room. When I asked, the cheaper rate of ”any room available when you check in” was granted, rather than the more expensive rate we had booked online to be able to choose a specific room. Another time, as well as booking online, I will phone the hotel to confirm that the room type we have booked is available. We found out that this hotel has only one accessible room, so don't expect to stay in it at a busy time unless you book well ahead. We were able to tour this room before we left town and found that it would meet our needs in the future. It has a very nice roll-in shower. Light switches are also lower than usual, but the rest of the room was very similar to the regular room with one king-sized bed that we were assigned. If it wasn't for the check-in glitch, I would give this hotel a rating of 5. We will likely stay again and would recommend it to visitors to Kamloops, especially if you want to be on the North Shore. It would be a very nice option not too far from the airport, if that is important to you.

The appearance of the hotel is very beautiful, the house is clean, I pay great attention to the wall tile gap of the bathroom and the edge of the basin sealant. There is no mold, there is no such a hotel in the early level, can be so clean, I am very satisfied. The facilities in the house are very good, the rooms are very spacious and the price is very high.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in Kamloops BC. Nice hotel with a good breakfast. Parking area seems a bit crowded with possibly a crime problem. All signs tell you to take everything out of your car and lock up. We came away with a flat tire, although we could have picked up the pair of scissors elsewhere. (yes scissors) The restaurant at the other end of the parking area was noisy but the food was good.

Read the negative reviews of this place with a grain of salt, and even more importantly look at the owner’s responses to them (hilarious & credible). My girlfriend and I stayed here for one night for a little getaway and we were not disappointed. The hotel itself is like one you might see in a movie; dated in a good way with a beautiful style and a cozy feel. We stayed in a river view king room, the bathroom was super clean and well functioning, the bed was comfortable, and the blackout curtains were a huge bonus for a great nights sleep. The front desk agent who checked us in was very accommodating and took the time to explain to us the how the hotel worked and where we could eat around town. There are animals present on the property including horses, llamas, goats and sheep, just don’t expect a guided animal feeding tour, pick some ****s or some fruit and feed them yourself (it’s super fun). The pool and hot tub were clean and towels are readily available. The restaurant is currently closed to due staffing issues, however the golf course right next door offers well priced surf and turf (like chicken tenders). Being right on the bank of the river is incredibly scenic and there are lots of places to roam to for a sit down with a view. We loved this property and would absolutely stay again, and the “turtle crossing” signage on the drive in are adorable (see attached photos).

Very Good
CCharlene DCheck in was very seamless, and when we got to our room, we were very pleasantly surprised. The room was clean, smelling and nice and fresh. The bed is super comfortable and the pillows. Nice and fluffy. The lounge chair to sit in was also super comfortable. The linens were crisp and clean and smelled wonderful, everything was sparkling clean. Robin was the person that did our room up and it was perfect.
TTy BGood overall experience. Gentleman at front counter was great and friendly to deal with. Same with the waiter at the restaurant he was very personable, friendly, and respectful. Room was clean and mattress was comfortable. Also in a very central location for conferences, other restaurants, and access to the highway. Restaurant had a good breakfast menu.
HHONGYINGThe room is facing the street and the noise is loud at night. The small refrigerator drip is also very noisy. Breakfast is quite simple, count as basic breakfast. You can park for free, pay attention to the area, the front desk will register the license plate number, and put a strip on the dashboard. The traffic is full. There are 7-11 blocks per block, and there are not many things.
GGuest UserJust had a great supper at a very reasonable price. Great service. It is a little out of the way put with them help if GPS we found it. They have an every day seniors menu with about 5 different entries including two sides for $17.95. We didn't take advantage of his but saw a large group of seniors that appeared to enjoy their meals.
XXiaoguaibaobeiyingyingjoviService: Self-driving with children from Vancouver to Banff, with one night’s rest in transit
I checked in at the front desk and struggled for more than an hour at 7:30 in the evening. The reason was that the hotel did not recognize my visa card as a credit card (there was no chip, so I could only swipe a magnetic stripe card), and domestic Unipay could not be used.
The front desk asked my friend in Nanaimo to send me a credit card or ask the supplier to change hotels for me.
Finally, with the efforts of Ctrip and the supplier, we reached an agreement with the hotel owner + front desk and allowed me to use the visa card.
Hygiene: Relatively clean and tidy. It meets the standards of a motel. It is suitable for resting. The bedding is relatively comfortable for sleeping.
Facilities: The air cooler is very noisy and needs to be turned off at night
Environment: There is a small outdoor swimming pool. Some children were playing when we arrived. It is very convenient for fast food and gas nearby.
Friends who start here or go to Banff via here must fill up the tank. If I remember correctly, the next gas station is more than 200 kilometers away.
Outdated, bed and pillows were comfortable, not much of a breakfast, but a couple waffles did the trick. Lots of places to eat elsewhere around the area, sausage or bacon would have been nice. TV was a little difficult, had front desk person come and get TV working for us and the person was very friendly.
GGuest UserThe hotel is not far off the highway, relatively far from the central area; there is a shopping mall next to it, and there are two gas stations at the intersection, convenient parking;
The hotel has breakfast, bread, cake and yogurt. The hotel has free boiled water and coffee for 24 hours.
There is a Chinese restaurant in the same building of the hotel. The price is good. There is a beautiful western girl in a cheongsam:)
The hotel has a 1.5-meter bed.
Cost-effective
GGuest UserTwo stays, one on the way from Calgary to Victoria, one return. First stay, found the hotel ok, but the parking exit was awkward. Breakfast was disappointing. Tables were not wiped between guests. Pancake machine made undercooked pancakes. Second stay, the hotel was overbooked so we did not get the requested room. Instead a top floor suite, we thought would be better but was dirty, not cleaned between guests, very noisy due to balcony not closing properly, and same problems as before.
Whilst the room was good, well appointed and great facilities including a very good bed, it’s the reception that lets this place down. The day before we were due to arrived we received a precheck in email confirming our details and offering us an early check in (1 pm) rather than the usual 3 pm. We accepted the early check in and received an email confirmation. Upon arrival at 1.00 pm we were advised by a very rude person at reception “the room is not ready check out was only at 11 and to come back at 3. I advised him that we had been offered an early check in yesterday to which he flatly denied that was possible and it was only after I asked to speak to the manager that he was able to find the paperwork confirming our early check in. Lot of stress for absolutely no reason
XXINLANCalculating the surrounding price is relatively cheap. A twin room was set up and the faucet was found to be bad after check-in. The family suite with a kitchen (one big one small two beds + one sofa bed) was upgraded free of charge. The decoration is relatively old, and the price can't ask too much. Family room kitchen pot is less, a pan + a soup pot, if you want to open your own, you can only cook a noodle. Breakfast is very simple, bread, milk, yogurt, muffins, cakes, jams, butter, that's all. There is a supermarket opposite, it is very convenient to buy things.
