The hotel group is small but has boutique hotels across Sri Lanka. This w15 is located near kandy. There is a shooting club next to it and tatata gunshots can be heard during the day. The hotel itself is not big, with one house and one main building. As for the scenery, looking at the mountains, it feels a bit like Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner were all good. In terms of activities, you can choose hiking, cycling, tennis or taking a jeep to climb high.
Special attention should be paid to the fact that the hotel channels have different prices, so carefully compare the prices.

There are many management problems in this hotel: (1) Discrimination against Chinese guests. We paid the full amount in August to book a room for New Year's Day. No refunds were allowed, and changes were not supported. However, two days before check-in, they suddenly told us that there was no room available, and we were kicked out. Arrange to go to the King Pavilion half an hour away; (2) Have no sense of time, require eating at 11:30, ordering food in the morning, and eating at 12 o'clock;
The hotel environment is very good, with free drinks and all-inclusive meals, but the service is too poor.

Pros: - utterly beautiful location. The views are such that you can just sit there drinking it in for hours - rooms are spacious and had an old world charm - lots of walking and hiking trails nearby. Hotel is right on the pekoe trail - good variation in food. We were always so full! Also really enjoyed their high tea. - the staff were warm and attentive Potential areas for improvement - the service was slow during meal times. We had to wait at least 15-20 min from the time we requested meals until we were served. - the road leading up to the hotel is very narrow. Thankfully we don’t encounter another vehicle when we were driving through but I did feel slightly anxious on how we would manage if we did! We did the all inclusive option which I would recommend as it includes meals, drinks, high tea and also excursions. Overall, such a relaxing stay.

Had an amazing stay at this estate 🤍 the stuff was super friendly and did the best to make our stay as amazing as possible. Celebrated New Year’s Eve with a really good dinner, good drinks and nice atmosphere!! Can highly recommend! 🤍 the estate is high in the Mountains so a calm and quiet place close to Kandy. Manager was super helpful with organizing transport and so on.

The suit and location were excellent, and we had high expectations for our stay. However, we were disappointed with the food, which didn’t match the luxury experience we expected. We were hoping for dishes like steak or lamb, but the menu featured biryani, grilled fish, and vegetarian pasta, which felt out of place. Unfortunately, the taste was underwhelming, with the biryani and high-tea items and even the rice and curry needing improvement. To add this, soup served cold. We hope the menu will be enhanced to include more premium dishes and better reflect the overall standard of the property. While the location and comfort deserve an 8/10, the food was a 2/10. That said, we’re willing to give it another try in the future and hope for an improved dining experience.

We spent two nights at W15, up in the hills above Kandy. The property is a colonial-style bungalow with superb views and ten guest rooms. It is beautifully presented and all-inclusive, so has the feel of a home rather than a hotel. The staff are very professional and attentive; the rooms are very well appointed and comfortable; the meals are excellent. Nothing is too much trouble. I highly recommend it.

We celebrated our 40th anniversary at W15 Hanthana. The location is gorgeous, driving up-the mountain through a spectacular landscape with tea plantations. We have never experienced such an excellent service. The team is just marvellous, thanks to the butlers Hastha, Sheriff (pls dont shoot him), Nanjula, Navod, Prabod and Tharaka. Not to forget pastry chef Nuwan (who made a sensational bread and surprised us with a typical Swiss Sunday Bread, called "Zopf"), Chef Matheesha, Clive, Prasanna and Madushan, and of course also the driver Puvi. Thank you all again to make our stay so memorable, surprising us with a cake on our anniversary. When you are planning to go to Kandy, this is one of the first choice, beeing in a peaceful and quite surrounding and enjoying a top service leaving behind the crowded city of Kandy, which is just 30 minutes away. f you are thinking of a place to stay away from the busy Kandy centre then this is the most ideal place. We found it last minute and what a piece of heaven this place it. Nestled high up over looking the valleys and tea plantations this small boutique resort is luxury defined. The former tea planters bungalow offers beautiful and luxurious accommodation. The meals were delicious and there are a number of activities that you can take part in such as an Indians jones tour and a mountain trek. The staff here are some of the best you will find in the whole of Sri-lanka and we loved every minute spent in there company. They had such good humour and made our stay magical. Special mention to Navod, Hasth and Manjula who made our every request possible and to Banuka the resident naturalist who took us on our tours and treks and not to forget taught us how to play croquet. Thank you so much we will certainly be back next year

The hotel was exceptional. The staff was extremely friendly with smiles. So courteous and helpful. We stayed here for 2 nights but could easily stay for longer. The staff and manager advised us on every inquiry we had and helped us decide the best package. The even arranged a romantic dinner over looking the beautiful estate and mountains. Would highly recommend the place for anyone who wants to be really pampered and come closer to nature.
