Great location to get to Karlstejn Castle. Given a warm welcome on arrival. Room clean and bed comfortable. Be aware the attached cafe closes at 4.30/5 in November as do all the nearby restaurants so eat early or bring food with you. Although there isn't a manned bar there is a well stocked communal area.

We had a nice time in Hotel Karlstejn on a very wet and windy weekend. We were warm welcomed with a tasty drink. Rooms are nicely decorated and I slept very well. Breakfast was also very good. The location straight beneath the mountain with the fortress is excellent. Good parking space was very appreciated.

We visited Hotel Karlstejn for the secon time and we hope not for the last time. Nice, smilling and helpful staff, clean rooms, great brekfast. Location, views, atmosphere all great. Pool with a fabulous view. We recommend spending the night in Karlstejn. Brigita

My Sister and I stayed at the Karlstejn Spa hotel as a base for our cycling holiday. What a warm friendly welcome we received. All the staff were wonderful. They went out their way to make our holiday special. Even cleaned our very muddy bikes, which we were not expecting. Breakfast was delicious. Lovely and fresh. Over all a lovely clean hotel in a very special setting. One piece of advice. All the cafes and restaurants close very early when the Castle closes. So best to plan your day/meals around this.

Dopo la visita al castello ci siamo fermati per un buon caffè accompagnato da una fetta di torta. Ottimo sia il caffè che il dolce. Interessante anche per un soggiorno in luogo tranquillo, a mezz'ora di treno da Praga. Personale gentile, atmosfera informale e tranquilla.

Comfortable structure with characteristic rooms, excellent cleanliness and friendliness and kindness and attentive and helpful treatment, excellent breakfast with homemade cakes from a very kind owner.... I have been here several times for work, but the area is very touristy surrounded by greenery among woods and hills. I forgot.... swimming pool and view of the castle that you can almost touch.

I was very happy with the hotel , I stayed for 3 nights, the breakfast was excellent many choices , the two girls working there were so good and very polite and offered different options for Breakfast, the hotel was spotless very clean , the girls / staff there were very caring and always available to answer any questions...I would recommend Hotel Karlstjen to anyone visiting the area ... excellent location Brian

Stay was great and the area is very relaxed with long walking trails with good views. The hotel pool is really nice. The most I liked was the hospitality and friendliness of the hotel staff. I immediately felt part of the village.

Great little hotel. Loved the staff, service and room. Pool and view was fantastic. Perfect way to end our trip and only took half an hour by car to get to the Prague airport to catch our flight - way better than staying at overpriced airport hotels.
