All the staff were very kind and I had a wonderful stay.
I had the buffet breakfast and dinner, and all of the food was delicious and I enjoyed Sri Lankan cuisine.
The manager spoke to me at breakfast, and it was clear to see how great the hotel's hospitality is.
I would like to stay again.

A place we go every year but unfortunately the hotel has turned to be a pickle the staff act dumb. The reservation was made 3 months ago and repeated calls made to confirm. Did have a confirmation number walked in so tired the staff not professional at all. Called on our way to inform that we are on the way and she stated rooms are ready. On arrival the rooms were not available even though I had a confirmation number. So disgusting and unprofessional staff who are clueless of everything.

Excelente opción en Kataragama
Cuando llegas a este hotel ya te das cuenta que va a ser mejor que en las fotos y asi es! Las instalaciones son muy amplias, limpias y cuidadas. La piscina es enorme y increíblemente limpia, tiene una parte para niños pequeños. Las vistas desde las tumbonas son maravillosas asi como el cuidado jardín lleno de arboles con la flor areliya. Todo el personal es muy atento y cariñoso y siempre estan dispuestos a ayudarte. Me picó un insecto en el pie y Dammi estuvo conmigo poniéndome un remedio para curarlo. Personal de limpieza y hasta el chef estuvieron preocupados por mi pie. Maravillosos todos! La habitación triple es enorme, gran terraza con sillas y mesa. Tiene aire acondicionado y ventilador. Nos prepararon una decoración preciosa con toallas y flores encima de la cama. Increible. El chico que trae la comida del Room Service es muy profesional. Hay secador de pelo y productos de gel shampoo etc. el restaurante esta muy bien. El buffet del desayuno es variado y esta rico. En cuanto a situación, puedes llegar caminando al centro en unos 25 min pero un tuktuk es lo mejor. El ultimo dia el director del hotel salió a despedirnos, fue realmente amable! Ha sido una experiencia maravillosa. Es un hotel grande pero la acogida ha sido como si estuvieras en tu casa. Es muy recomendable. Gracias!

A well-deserved 4 out of 5 stars is awarded to Chef Aruna and his exceptional F&B team for their impeccable service and the finest Sri Lankan cuisine we had the pleasure of experiencing during our visit. The dishes were not only exquisite and authentically crafted but also surpassed the quality of meals we enjoyed at several five-star establishments in the subsequent days.

It’s a good base for visiting Kataragama shrine it’s very close to the sacred are. Friendly helpful staff and wholesome Sri Lanka food. Facilities are good and the restaurant offers good Sri Lankan fare. If one is visiting the shrine and Yala it’s a good value for money hotel but not if one wants to pamper oneself in a resort style setting

We stayed at grand tamarind in august 2024for a night. We got the suite room and a another room for my parents . It was a good hotel and the jacuzzi was in the room was good and needs lot more to improve. 1)the extra bed was provided but it was not a good one. 2)the suite room is nice but too many utilities and furniture 3)food was good and staff was really friendly The reception area and also the front office staff needs a good training on how to welcome guests and not to gossip and be in there own world ,when there is an arrival they should be more quicker

Magnifique hôtel. Très bien le service s’ils pouvaient avoir des options halal pour leurs clients ça serait super. Le cadre est vraiment splendide et le parc national de Yala est à côté. Demandez aux chauffeurs de conduire prudemment sur la route.
